ASP Portals

This thread is regarding ASP Portals. I'm curious why there aren't very many ASP portals? PHP portals are a dime a dozen on the internet. It's almost a standard when it comes to PHP development, but you just don't see many ASP portals out there. I'm curious why this is?

Maybe there are some very good free ASP portals out there and I have never come across them. I've seen a few, and they seem to try and mimic PHP portals more than anything else. Any thoughts?
