i'm a designer using dreamweavers asp coding / insert statements, but i cant get mysql to take the date in the right order....

Is it possible to change ASP's date function to a MySQL compliant (ie. year first; 2003/8/17) style without a lot of code?
Maybe I'm mis-guided. I have a website built in ASP and using MS SQL. I'm converting it all to MySQL, but I'd rather not have to rewrite all the instances where I do something like this...

this is the code im trying to use to insert a date to mysql db:

this inserts a date but its always "0000-00-00", i want to get the actual date and add it to the table.

ASP - Date Formating MySql Insert/update
I am storing dates in a mySql database in the format yyyy-mm-dd. Now, I have set up so that this field is insert by a form.
It isn't very user friendly to have to type yyyy-mm-dd, how can I set up so that the user can enter format dd/mm/yyyy and it will automatically insert into the database as yyyy-mm-dd? I am using Dreamweaver MX 2004 and ASP.
ASP/mySQL Incorrect Date Format Returned
I have all of the dates I use in my tables stored as date in the YYYY/MM/DD format, with the columns set to DATE.
When I do any queries on the database (not usinf ASP) I get YYYY/MM/DD format returned.
When I do a recordset("datefield") ASP request I get D/M/YYYY returned. I have not asked anything to convert it, I have no idea where it is getting converted. It is a real pain, as I need to copy these dates through out the table, and they are getting returned in the wrong format.

I found some script that converts ASP to MySQL. Now I need to reverse that process.MySQL Order_Date is the field I need to convert.I have a select list for order nunber - 'order date Where order date = MYSQL date stored in db.Sounds simple enough, but is very difficult so far to implement.

It is freakin out as the date in the DB is YYYY-MM-DD where as the date from date() is MM/DD/YYYY how can I get around this?
VBscript Date Array
I would like to get the full date of every Saturday in the year in an array - starting with the very last Saturday of last year, and ending with the first Saturday of next year. Is there a way to do this using the vbscript date functions?

I'm passing the current date and time to a DATETIME coloumn in my database and it's so far proved very finicky about what format it will accept. It seems to want it like so:
yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss
I'm not sure but I think it will only accept the '24 hour' time. (Military time; ie. 17:58:23) The following line of code works and the database will accept it:

But it seems like an awful waste of declarations. Can anyone suggest a sleeker way of getting the date & time formatted so the database will accept it? Or if you're familiar with the MySQL DATETIME type, let me know the best acceptable way to pass this info.

How To Check The Date Difference Between The Current Date And The Booking Date?
I am developing a simple booking system where I had a booking date. The problem is I want to make sure that the user must book 3 days in advanced for certain room.
I have tried to use DateDiff but it seems doesn't work. Actually i just 1 to make sure that the user must book 3 days in advanced from the current date. I am wondering whether there is anything goes wrong in my datediff function. Code:

Above does work as I want it to do BUT it inserts 1/8/2006 instead of 8/1/2006 as it should!
The best thing would be to exclude the date from updating at all, but when taking away the line:
& ", Datum ='" & Datum & "'" _
It gives an error... how do I solve this?

In my page i have two combobox. one for year and one for week numbers.Now my prob is
1.when i select a year from combo box 1, second combox box will display the number of weeks in that year.eg if i select 2005 it display me list from 1 to 53 as there are 53 weeks in 2005.

I am trying to compare two dates. My problem is no matter what the value of mydate, it is still fall in the first IF statement condition (even if mydate is 10/10/2004). Any advise for this matter?

I am trying to construct an SQL statement that can grab all of the entries out of a table, where the Date field consists of today's date. The Date field is called 'DateTime' - and it is in a General Date format (DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM:SS). I obviusly want to use an SQL statement like this:
SELECT * FROM tblExample WHERE (DateTime = Date());
However, that wont work because Date() will only return a short date (DD/MM/YYYY).

I'm trying to get all records from my SQL Server Database with
"DeadlineDate" = today (not today - 24 hours).
All records has a field called "DeadlineDate", and the date is stored in
this field like this: 13.08.2005 07:00:00
I dont care about the hours (Ex: 07:00:00), just the date (ex: 13.08.2005).
This is the SQL I have made, it gets all the record with the date = today -
24 hours... but that is not what I want.

How To Convert UK Date To US Date Using .asp & MS Access
I have built an online booking system for a hotel and all is working fine except for the fact that the ‘From’ and ‘To’ dates are saved in the MS Access database in US format. The user selects from a date picker pop, which places the in the textfield as English format e.g. 02/12/2007.
However when I try and save this value into the date column in my DB I obviously receive an error because the formats are different. Please could someone advise me on the best way to convert an English date to a US in order to insert this into the DB using ASP & MS Access.
At the moment I am using plain text as the column type, but this is not ideal as I want to start to run queries against the 2 dates.

Our website is currently developed in ASP/Mysql 4.
The dedicated servers on which it is currently hosted arrive at saturation.
Here is their configuration:
- 1 server PIV 2,8Ghz 1GB RAM with IIS 5 on Windows 2000
- 1 server Bi-xeon 3Ghz, 512 MB with MySQL 4 on Windows 2003
The website makes approximately 10.000.000 of pages seen and 310.000
visits each month (given by an external statistics tool), increasing by
10% each month.
The database is approximately 60 MB.
I made, I think, most of the optimizations on the database (cache,
indexes...).
According to our current web hoster, this saturation is due to a bad
management of connections between ASP and MySQL and recommends to us:
1/ to put the site on Windows 2003/IIS 6.
2/ to change our database from MySQL to SQL Server.
3/ to change our PIV to a second Bi-xeon.
