Displaying A Calendar From Exchange - Public Folder
Is there a way to display a calendar created in a public folder? We are
using Exchange 2003 and have an intranet and I would like to pull the daily
view form the calendar and display it at the bottom of my daily
announcements page.
Restricting Access To Website From Public
I'm creating a web application for my company now. This application has 2
parts. 1 part for the customers to access. The 2nd part is for our staff to
access only. My director hopes to make the 2nd part to be something like an
intranet, such that only our company's computers (maybe only 1 or 2 in the
company) can login to this part of the application.
1. My company's intending to put the application on shared server with a web
host. Windows Authentication is NOT allowed.
2. My company doesn't have a static IP address.
3. My manager suggested using Network Card number (which I don't really
quite understand. Is there a way to get the Network Card number that's on a
client PC?).

Some ISP told us that they can provide a firewall management feature such
that it will restrict access to the website from anyone that is not coming
from my company's network. This requires Static IP.
Another told me that IIS Manager has the security feature that restrict
access based on IP address. This requires Static IP again.
Is it possible to implement the 2nd part (the part that is to be accessed by
my company's PC) as a windows application instead? Then we only put the
windows application on one computer. So, 1st part (for the public) will be a
web application, 2nd part (for my company) is a windows application, both
accessing the same database server from an ISP. Will the ISP allow the
windows application to access its database server? I've no experience in
making a windows application at all, is it the same as making a web
application?
Access Calendar
I am in need of an event calendar for a client's web site. I am hoping to find one that is MS Access driven. Ideally, I need the client to be able to add, edit, delete events from the calendar at will.

Well.. i am looking among hours trying to find a (free) calendar with MDB support, something like in the attached file (Calendar.jpg), but no success...
As the file shows.. the calendar comes.. and if there´s some events in the day X, it will bring more information and create a link (» Evento #1...), if I click in this link it will lead me to a especific page (something like Result.jpg), this page will has the data about the clicked link.
Well, i have the system to record the data in the database, and inside the database i have a table to put the data... and a specific field to store the date... so the calendar checking the date could generate the link and so on... and I already have the result page, like shows in Result.jpg... well this is just the way i think this can be work.. but i am looking for some examples or if someone has done something near this and would like to share...
Script To Format Existing Access Table Into Wall Calendar Format?
I have the tables set up in Access, viewing in column format on ASP pages but now the company wants the schedule reports to be in a wall-calendar type format. I've searched and found calendar scripts but I need one that's creates a table resizable to a report size format. Using the existing MS Access db I've written is also a plus.
Any suggestions on where to start?

Im coming from a visual basic 6 background.
I am making an ASP script with vbscript language.
anyways, in vb6, you can create a 'module' and put "public" functions and variables there.
how do I do that in ASP? i have a couple of functions that will be basically used on all pages (a function to prevent SQL injection).
So how do I create a page with all the public functions and use them on other pages?
Public SUB And FUNCTION
Can I create a Function or Sub in my GLOBAL.ASA file for all pages of my application to use? If not, how does one do this? For example, I have an "IIF" function since it isn't natively implemented in ASP. Currently I have an Include directive on every page that includes the scripting for this function. I'd rather just declare it once, globally.

Querying Msx 5.5 Public Folders
Would anyone have a way to access certain Exchange public folders that
contain news group emails, perform a query on the folders for keywords and
return a list of those emails?
Basically, I've been asked to put a simple
single field on a web page that will query a list of exchange public folders
and return a list of those emails that have a key word match.
sort of like the MS Index server does on folders with files where one has an
asp interface to query the index data base.

Populate Data From Public Websites
I am going to construct a housing search website ... similar to www.mls.ca ... is there anyway I can populate the data(s) stores in their database? So when my user search for one kind of house, my website will return the data from the MLS database? Or there is similar way to get data from public websites?
Also, if a user search "sport" in my search text box, it will returns all the related links ... just like those search engine ... how can I acheive that? Or I need to pay or register to get the function?
Asp Exchange
I have created a simple set of asp pages which do some funky database stuff. One aspect which I would appreciate some help on is Email.I have created these pages for use internally to my work network, mainly admin database entry type stuff. The network has several exchange servers. I would like to send a notification email everytime a function within tthe asp scripts is made (i.e. every time a new set of information is added to a database) to a select few people (which may well change from time to time). Now I thought that I might create a new mailbox on an exchange server and send mail via this, so that if anyone were to reply to the notification mail it would go back to the mailbox. Therefore, using the exchange server mailbox as my pump for shooting off mails all over, I could create an email rule which would forward anything from my asp pages to the relavent people.Couple of questions 1) is this a logical approach 2) if the answer to 1 is yes then what is the best method of shooting off emails from asp scripts to the exchange server?? (would it just be using the SMTP service)

I have written a asp form and i'm trying to figure out how i can connect it to send out an email.
The form is running through the process & isn't showing any errors, but it isn't sending out the email either from the form. I know that our IT guy is running MS Exchange for our email, but I believe that it is on a seperate box as well. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?

ASP / Exchange 2003
I am writing a small CRM at the moment and would like one of the features to be that the first page picks up mail from a 'info@' mailbox on a locally hosted exchange 2003 server.
I am finding it a nightmare to track-down either how to do this or find the right info, I think partly because the methods may have changed with server upgrades.
Is there a definative method I should be using and any pointers to documentation etc.

I would like to start using Outlook Web Access on my IIS 5.0 server. It has PHP and MySql on there along with their ISAPI filters. Everything works great. It has the ASP support taken off and I would like to re-add this support back to the server.Where is the ISAPI filter located at on the Server?

I am an intermediate with ASP and i'm not sure if this is possible but i'll give it a shot. I am creating a Listserv (newsgroup) and I want them able to reply to messages in there email. Right now I have sign up form online which connectes to an access db which stores the emails. The admin uses a web based form to send letters and if the subscribers want to send a message or reply they have to use another web form. How can I use exchange server to eliminate the web based forms?
So basicly I want them to reply in like outlook, but the emails are all in access. So when they reply to the list email (list@home.com), somewhere in the exchange server the server will read the db and send the message to the subscribed emails.

We have a client who have exchange servers and they use active directory. From their intranet (asp) we need to have a link to the exchange server but we need to pass the window logon credentials, so they don't have to log in again on the exch server. How do I go about this?

MS Exchange Data
Our company currently has a SQL Server 2000 database with various client information, accessed through an ASP driven intranet. We also use Exchange 2000 and a shared contacts folder. Many of the contacts are also in the SQL Db and when we get a new client, information is often entered in both places.
What I would like to figure out how to do, hopefully via ASP is create a user-defined field in the shared contacts which is their recordid in the SQL db and then be able to grab info from Exchange where needed so we would not have address & telephone numbers in both Exchange and the SQL db.
I've done a little research on using MAPI with ASP but most of what I've found relates to sending mail, not to working with shared contacts.
Exchange Of Files
Is it in ASP possible to make a webpage with folders and
subfolders where people (if they have the right password) can
download and upload files. An uploadet file should appear on the
webpage for others to use as soon as it is there.
There is probably a name for this system. I would prefer if it
could work like the Total Commander, on the internet.

I have worked with CDO mail before at a different job, but at that job I was developing internet sites, and now I am developing Intranet apps. We have the following setup, WWW/SQL on 1 server, mail server, PDC and SDC (and Proxy), all OS's are Windows 2000 Server (except Proxy, it is NT4).
What would be the best way to allow sending emails from ASP?
