Active Server Pages Error 'ASP 0113' Script Timed Out
I have an ASP form that uploads files to our server.When I upload small files, it works great.But larger files like (2.5mb), I get:
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113' Script timed out
I have looked up the error, and added more time to the script (up to 10 minutes). Didn't help. We are using Microsoft Server 2000, IIS 5.0, and Microsoft ASP Upload.
My guess is that there is a file size limitation somewhere, but don't where.

The problem occured when I used FP2002 to create a page to search a database. The purpose was to see how it worked and the code behind it so I could start learning how to work it myself.
But before I got that far, I get an error message:
HTTP 500.100 - Internal Server Error - ASP error

Active Service Pages... Multiple Restarts
w2k server... after rebooting the event viewer/application log shows multiple
restarts of Active Server Pages and they continue to build in memory as each
start produces a IWAM_SERVERNAME in the task manager.
there might be 10 - 20 starts without a stop... when I restart iis services it
takes a long time as each started service is stopped and the associated
IWAM_SERVERNAME is closed.
this seems to be something new and when checking other w2k servers it is
unusual.

I have created an Active Server Component (ASC) as a bridge between ASP and my existing C++ DLLs that we use in our PC-based program. Our intent is to re-use as much code as possible. But, when I call the ASC from ASP, and then call the DLL, the security profile that is specified in IIS is no longer associated with the process, and therefore, any "network-related" calls fail due to insufficient privileges.
I don't know if there is "another" way to call the DLL from the ASC or not, or any way to specifically load a DLL with a certain security profile.

However, one of the servers that I'd like to call the Web Service from is a shared hosting platform that does not offer the "MSSOAP.SoapClient30" object

But I need to know how to access a Web Service from an Active Server Page with the MS XMLDOM where the Web Service is implemented using classic ASP.
Protecting Asp Pages From Working On A Different Server
I want to install asp and access on a server, is there way to password protect asp pages from being accessed directly?. I don't mean via web.But being accessed from the server directly?
Is there way to ensure that the asp pages works on the computer/server it has been installed on and not for any other comp?
So if some new admin tried to copy those asp pages to another computer,they would not work.

I have a Windows 2003 server running IIS6.0. It has a number of ASP.NET sites running on it.
I'm trying to instal a legacy classic ASP site, but trying to access and
pages with the .asp suffix produces a "The system cannot find the file
specified." page, or when run locally a 404.
Interesting to note that when I make default.asp my default content page and
browse to /mydomain/ rather then /mydomain/default.asp, this page works
fine.
Problems Running ASP Pages After Server Rebuild
Have MS 2003 server with IIS 6.0 installed. ASP.net is also installed.
Had to re-install the server after initial configuration by someone who left
the company and now I cannot get the ASP pages to load.
The files all existed in a NON-INETPUB folder and accessed a SQL database to

I have visual studio.net and i use it to edit my asp pages.
And I use JScript as my server-side script.
On the page property, visual studio.net let me change the server script language to either VBScript or JScript.
I change it to JScript but afte I close the page and reopen it , the property goes back to VBScript.
and all the syntax coloring goes back to how VBScript color them.
where is this kept ? like in a .ini file somewhere ?
Asp Pages Randomly Showing As Blank White Pages
Using IIS 5.0 and sometime some asp pages (absolutely
randomly) showing as blank white pages. So far only one
way of fixing it - restart whole server. Restarting IIS,
or specific web server not helping, only whole server.
I enable server side and client side debugging, but no
errors showing up...

I have a pretty resource intensive javascript page that I would like to try to make into an Active X program. I'm a PHP programmer and don't know much about ASP, but the research I've found is talking about using ASPX to create the application. Can anyone offer any suggestions about creating something like this, whether or not PHP can be implemented and where to start. My intention is to have my program be embedded into the browser.

Do I need a different server configuration to run ASP? I'm currently running apache 2.0. An example of an ActiveX program I'm thinking of can be found on webshots.com. This site uses an ActiveX program to allow users to upload images through their custom application. It has functionality similair to that of some flash I've seen.

I was thinking about using active desktop, asp, and IIS on my win 2k pro computer to setup a personalized interactive desktop. Has anyone ever done this before? If so do you have a screen shot or maybe some hints/information I could use? I've been searching google.
