Back + Variable Change; Blank Check; & Open Popup
I have an ASP page that goes from part to part based off of a session variable. Is there any way to check for when the user clicks back so that I can change the variable. If not I will have to separate all of the pages out and that is just not fun.
So, when the user clicks back, the session variable gets changed. That is what I am looking for.
P.S. Is there a faster way to check if a variable is blank other than an

P.P.S. When a submit button is clicked, I want to open a new window with a message like "Be sure to fill out this on page X"

I'm need to open a popup window from an asp page that calculates a value. This value must be returned to the input box on the asp page. I have managed to get the popup window to open and display a value so far but I am not getting the value back into the asp page.

I run a site and one of our services is a "free online quote" .I've made the whole form, including the .asp backbone to send it off (the file itself is .asp, but im pretty sure the language is in VB). It was working fine, but now the forms will come back blank most of the time. I know they cannot be submitted blank, because I have required feilds there.
The weird thing is, it was working flawlessly, then it started to crap out once or twice, now it rarely submits a real one.It might not be my coding, but I am really lost at this point.I'm using godaddy for a host btw.

I have a page that processes a form and one of the fields might be empty as it's optional if it gets selected or not.
In my process page I would like to check if the form field news_image is empty or not.

I'm working on a form where the user is not required to fill out every text input. How mught I check for that in an ASP script. Here's what I have:

I want to check a checkbox automatically once a value in input box is changed, both the input box and check box belong to one row of a table.
I used the onChange event in the input tag and called the a Javascript(I am sure I am not doing it right here), but it doesnt change the checkbox status.

I need to read a SQL Server table into a Web Page and within the Web
Page to permit my users to make changes to the records, delete or add
new records and then save the entire contents back to the SQL Server
table back.
The functionality I am looking is almost the same as In the SQL
Enterprise Manager whereby I can choose a table open the table and
then return all rows and I can maintain the same and save it back to
the SQL Server table. I want almost a similar web interface to such a
functionality.
Even if not a generic functionality as the SQL Enterprise Manager

I am attempting to write a piece of code and I need to determine if a passed variable contains letters. My intVar1 is from a response.form which should be a number, but of course the user could input a string instead of a number in the form. This all works unless I give it something other than a number

I have a form that submits values to an asp page. If their is an error on the asp page that is called and you go back to the first page with the form. The values are not in the form.
How can I set the value back into form without the user having to retype them in? If I use hidden fields on the first asp page and I go back to that page wouldn't the values for the hidden fields be empty as well?

I have virtual directory where I run test.asp page with only this code inside:

As a result, if I go into the IE and browse for the test.asp page, I get :

If I copy this page on some other(existing) virtual directory, I get as a

If I create a new virtual directory and I copy the page there, I get :

Seems like that IIS takes english date format even if my regional setting is
:
d.M.yyyy and I would like that date on the page is always like this:

my present asp page opens a popup to display the complete data, but my requirement is to create a login to show only some data in the same popup. my choice was to redirect from the popup that shows all data to a new popup which shows some data (having the first popup not opening at all, clearly to redirect)

i am having problem in popups.i have an asp page from where a popup opens on clicking a link. the value of a variable is passed from the main page to the popup thru querystring. there are 3 text boxes on the popup one of which shows the value of the said variable. the user has to enter data in the remaining 2 boxes.
what i want is, if the user enters invalid data in those 2 boxes, there should be an alert. on clicking ok the user should be able to see the popup with the value of the variable from the main asp page in the 1st box and 2 textboxes with null values in which he/she has to enter the data again.at the moment what i am getting is, the popup disappears on clicking the ok of the alert.

I have the calendar on my sites startpage. A user can click on a link on the calendar to get a popup box displaying the course details and in the popup is a link to apply for the course.

What I need to know is how to click on a button that is labeled NEW, as in new record, and have the current form open to data input. That is a blank record. I am trying to use AUTH_USER from request.servervariables but the field is
blank. I am using Windoze server 2003 with IIS5. I know there is a fix
because I did it a long time ago with our old NT server running IIS4 but I
cant remember how I got it to work. We are all authenticated users on our
Domain so this is available, I am able to get IP info and such. I seem to
remember some kind of ASP code that did the fix by altering the way the web
server displays info.

I am creating a directory of suppliers.I have a form that collects data - business name, address1, address2, town, city, county, country, postcode.
The data is stored in separate fields in an Access database. Another page is used to display the data, one field per line. However, if some of the fields are blank, I want to suppress the blank liens as at the moment I am getting:
