Clearing Values From Variable When Form Proccesses ??
I have a form that on clicking of the Update button first updates
the specific record in the db, then Inserts if the vMemo field is not
empty. The problem that I'm having is that After updating if you hit
the [F5] key (refresh) it inserts another record ...
I have tried:
1. Clearing the vMemo field after the insert is done (vMemo = "")
2. Setting the value on the form for this field to ""
Neither of these are working. It's not displaying it on the screen
but it is holding it in memory (I guess). Any way to clear this out
after update/insert?

I have a form that comes up pre-filled with database results for the values. I'd like to add a button, though, that will clear all fields to start blank if desired.
A standard "reset" button, will only clear input that has been typed in, but won't clear the initial values. Does anyone have a script already that does this or could someone get me started on how I could do this?

I want to call a recordset so you can edit the details and then obviously pass the parameters onwards into the db. However, the user guide just says this:
To process other fields in the form, use the Form collection of the upload object the same way you would use the Form collection of the Request object. For example, if your form had a text element named UserName, your processing code would include: Code:

I am trying to compare the value of a number in a session variable to a value of a number in a querystring. The code works well until I reach double digits in the querystring. example. if my session variable = 7 and the value in the querystring = 64 and I ask which one is > (greater than) the other, the code returns the session variable (7) as being greater? I realize that only the 6 & 7 are being compared but how do I get it to view the querystring as 64 and not just 6??? The code looks like this...
if session("page") >= Request.QueryString("RC") then
session("page") = 1
else
session("page") = session("page") + 1
end if ..

I have a form that is dynamically generated since it is populated with values retrieved from a database. The form can of course also be submitted, which is where I run into some problems.
Since I never know in advance what the length of the form (or for that matter what the different elements' names and values) will be I don't know how to write the code in "receive.asp" to retrieve all values from the form correctly without excess use of "request.....".
I shouldn't have to write requests for every single potential element name that is stored in the DB. Please note that the form can sometimes also contain radio buttons and check boxes, even though they are not present in this short example Code:

I have a page with 10 buttons. I want to control the content of two variables (say vari1 and vari2) based on which button a user clicks. So if I click button1, vari1="1" and vari2="2"; If I click button2, vari1="3" and vari2="4", etc.
The variable contents are actually going to be text strings, not numeric values, I was just trying to keep the example simple. I've only ever used buttons to submit, reset, or call a javascript, so I'm just not familiar with how I would do this.

I'm using a database table to create forms on our intranet. If the record is 'text', an input is printed, if it's 'dropdown', a dropdown is printed etc. In the case of dropdowns, the next field in the recordset is 'options' (eg Mr, Mrs etc.) and this works fine by splitting the options array and creating a separate <option> for each one.
My problem is that I've written a subroutine that creates dynamic dropdowns and it looks like this: Code:

I have two variables:
UserLastName = request.cookies("UserLastName")

I have a page that creates a cookie on your computer. at that point it stores login information. Seeing that I am on the administration side and wish to login to accounts without the cookie getting in the way, I create a page to delete the cookie as follows:
Response.Buffer = True
Dim Cookie
For Each Cookie In Response.Cookies
Response.Cookies(Cookie) = "this must be something!"
Response.Cookies(Cookie).Expires = Date() - 1
session.clear
session.Abandon()
Next ' Cookie
For Each Cookie In Response.Cookies
Response.Cookies(Cookie) = "this must be something!"
Response.Cookies(Cookie).Domain = "hazsoft.com"
Response.Cookies(Cookie).Expires = Date() - 1
session.clear
session.Abandon()
Next
This removes the cookie like i desire but, I must first reopen my browser for the cookie to be totally removed. As you can see I have also removed the session variables. Is there a way to remove cookies and session variables, without having to close the browser window?

The code below isn't clearing the cookie and sessions. It is used in my shopping cart to track the user and the items purchased/added to the cart. After making a purchase you are directed to the receipt page (where this code is). If you go back to the main site the items still show in the cart. Any thoughts?
' The below lines clears out the users cookies to allow for additional orders
Response.Cookies("customerid") = ""
(this part seems to work... when clicking refresh the proper error message is displayed etc.)
' The below lines clear session values to avoid duplicate ordering using Refresh
session("cust") = 0
session("cartID") = 0

I have created a asp page "AddUsers.asp" which allows the admin to create new user ids.The admin fills in all relevant details and clicks on submit.The form gets posted to a page "Insertusers.asp" which checks if the new entered userid already exists in a database.
If the userid already exists, page display a message saying "Userid already exists" and a back button(link to Addusers.asp).When the admin clicks on back button, it takes him to Addusers.asp and all the relevant details entered in a form are lost.Again he has to fill in all the details which i want to avoid.How can i retain the values entered in the form so that the admin can change only the userid and submit the form again?

I have a problem where form values go missing. The are several forms on one page with indivdual names (i.e. form1, form2) but with the same fields. Whenever the form is submitted via post the values disappear. It only happens on this one particular page.
The odd thing is that if I do a response.write with the variable and then a response.end write after it it shows up perfectly. The page is just a basic record update page. If I do a response.flush() it works as well (up until the redirect). I am leaning towards a response buffer problem but still don't understand why it is happening.

I came up with the new problem. I want to fetch all form values by using request.form("FormName") which is generated by javascript on runtime.
The attached zip code contains the working code of javascript creating dynamic form elements. So after generating a couple of textboxes when I click on the "Submit" button it should display all the values entered in the textboxes on the next page.
