Best Way To Compare Filelist And Database List
I need to compare the files in a folder to ones that are entered into a database (filenames list) and update it to include ones that dont have entities.
Whats the best way to accomplish this ? I'v thought of creating an array out of the physical file entities then rolling through the database and deleting the array entities that already exist; that way I end up with an array of filenames that need to be entered into the DB. that way just a thought (I wouldnt even know how to do it) but I want to think it through more thoroughly before starting the code:

I am trying to compare two dates. My problem is no matter what the value of mydate, it is still fall in the first IF statement condition (even if mydate is 10/10/2004). Any advise for this matter?

i want to keep the lower number between my two numbers (nbelem(querystring) is user defined and nbElemTbl is number of elements in the table) in my test nbElemTbl return 6 and nbElem(querystring) return 10 but it will always enter the if statement and my resulting number is alway 10.

Get Closest Item
i've made a calendar that uses newsitems from an access database.
Every newsitem is a record (newsID, date, title, fact).
When the page is loaded for the first time a visitor looks at that page, I want to set the calendar to the newsitem that is closest to the present, but lying in the past. So, today we are the 13th of October. In the database, i've got two items with date "the 2nd of October" and "the 25th of September". The query should return me the 2nd of October. Of course, when that newsitem did not exist, then the query should return me the 25th of September.

Listbox Item
if it is possible to narrow in on an item within a listbox of states. For example, right now if I type "W", I will immediately drop down to those states beggining with "W".
However if I type "WI", I go to the top of the list with those states beginning with "I". I would like to continue to zero in on the state by dropping down to those that begin with "WI". Is this possible and if so, how do I go about doing it?

I'm doing an e-inventory system using Dreamweaver MX, ASP. The problem is that I want the system deleted the item that user already choose to use, for example in the store they got 12 keyboard. then when user choose to take 2 keyboard, I want the system automatically state the item left in the store was 10.

I'm getting this error working on a RecordSet that is filled by a LEFT JOIN query. Everything works fine, until an attempt to access data from the child table in the RecordSet when it doesn't exist.
Which results in "Item cannot be found in the collection". Is there a check that I can perform to see if a RecordSet item exists before attempting to access it?

Seach For One Item
I am taking over a script that was created by someone else. I am trying to do a search for one card that is listed in two different categories, and I only want it to bring the card up once.

Right now it is bring up a page with the same card listed twice. Which is correct, cause it is listed in category 2 and in category 4. I want it to bring up the card from category 4 with the title DG006. And only show the card once.
Compare Function
I store e-mail addresses in a database that are to be used for notification purposes. When the clients add e-mail addresses I want to check and make sure they have not entered an e-mail addresss in twice. Here is what I've got:
I have two arrays that hold the email addresses from the database and the email addresses from the form. I want to loop through the form's array and check it against the database array. If it finds a match then add it to an error message. If it does not find a match add it to the database. Sounds simple.

I have created a class registration application with DWMX. The first page shows a listing of all classes (names, date, instructor, etc) dynamically from the database.
I would like for the page to only show current and future classes, and need some type of date compare code. Any ideas?
Also how does this site make the pop window initiate when a user mouseovers a thread? I know how to do standard popups but haven;t yet figured out dynamic ones.
