help me with making a repeating "dynamic list/menu" . i use dreamweaver and when i put a "repeat region" on a "dynamic list/menu" the page just keeps loading forever. do i need to change the default coding dreamweaver makes...iv been trying to figure this out for literally weeks, and im about to give up. Can someone show me how to repeat records from a table without using Dreamweaver. Everything I find on google about repeating regions relates to Dreamweaver.
What I'm wanting to do is pull everything from a table in my DB. Then I will be putting those fields in a table on my page. Let's say the table is 2 rows and 4 columns. The first row is a header. The second row is where the returned recordset fields will go (in each of the 4 columns in the second row. Now, let's say there are 6 records in the DB table which have been returned by the recordset. I want those six records to be placed into the table on the asp page. How do I repeat the second row?

I have been creating new GUID's through this block of code

I have a repeating table set up to display the results of a recordset. What I want to do is "attach" a layer on the side of it and have it be a different color with different text in it based on one of the results in the recordset.
I.e. say I have a field called "reponses", if it's value in one table is 1 I want a green layer with the word "yes" in it positioned next the table, in the next table if it's value is 2 I want a red layer with the word "no". Is something like this even possible?

I am passing values from Supplier_Details.asp to Supplier_Products.asp, when I click to view the details of the supplier I want, their values goe to the other page ( supplier_product)that I want all his products to be displayed.

Dynamically Creating Repeating Tables With ASP And CSS
I am generating a series of tables in CSS. The tables should repeat
themselves for a number of times governed by a counter that is
calculated at runtime by the ASP code. The problem is that I have used
top margins to position the tables in the ASP page.
So the tables when repeated super-impose on the tables that are
already placed at that margin position. Can someone suggest me a
better way out to resolve this?

Random Token Generator - Not Really Random
We have the need to have a random token (a 16 char alphanumeric field) to be used as the key for one of our SQL tables. I have created a random token generator, however after only 3 months in production, it appears that we had an instance where a token that already existed in the tables was created. There are 3810 records currently in the database so it isn't like there are billions of records there.
I contacted an old college buddy of mine who is a mathematician, and he claims, assuming that random really does mean random, that the chances of getting a duplicate token are 1 in 79.5 septillion (79,500,000,000,000,000,000,000,000).
So my conclusion is that this was either a complete freak of nature occurance, or my random generator isn't really all that random. Here is the code behind how I am generating this: Code:
Random Number Not Random
I am trying to generate a random number. I am using randomize and then rnd to return a decimal number between 100 and 120. This will give me a longitude. I am doing something similar to generate a latitude.
I created this on a page which refreshs every minute. I put these points into a map and they are showing up in groups of straight lines. Since rnd is time based will refreshing every 60 seconds return similar numbers?
ASP Repeating Form Fields In An Email Form
Would anyone be able to give some guideance in ASP code as to how I would repeat a section of input fields in a form based upon the number of guests that are attending an event?
Basically, what needs to happen is if 3 guests are attending, I need the Name, address, city, state fields to repeat so they can be filled in with information.
Then all of the information from the whole form is submitted which returns an email to the administrator of the event.

ASP.net Timer Control
I am having a few problems with the Timer component in ASP.NET. I can get it to work in the C# windows application of visual studio but not in the ASP.NET.
The thing is a number of people will be logged into the website (its a game) so each person will need to view the same timer counting down to zero.
This is the code in ASP.NET. The timer only seems to be counting during page load.
How do i get it to count for a number of minutes while the game is in progress????

I created a stored procedure (sp) in my sql database. The sp accesses a table in another sql database. I ran the commands to add the linked server and add the linked login. The tests work fine within the database. Using Visual Web Developer, I'm trying to link my Sqldatasource control to this sp and I'm getting the error: "Could not find server 'xxx' in sysservers. The login control fails password validation from both the Web site

Menu Control
I have a menu control that has two Menu choices
One is "View History Items"
the second is "PDA"
My problem is as you roll the mouse over the menu options, the second
one works only if your mouse is actually over the text "PDA". Since it
is much narrower than the first item, the entire width lights up like
an active link, but the link won't work unless your exactly over the
area that has actual text. So it appears to the user who clicks too far
to the right that nothing is happening (which it isn't)

My website is on a server that places Cache-Control: private in the
Header of the pages that are served. I see these pages are not cached
by Google (the Google Toolbar Cached Snapshop of Page function).
Is this directive from my server preventing Google from caching the
pages that have it or do I need to look into some other problem?
