Does anyone know of a method of converting text files to sound files (.wav, mp3 etc) which can be accessed from ASP?
I have an ASP-based website that enables users to design choreography for equestrian dressage. The resulting design is held as a series of coded movements in a database and it can then be reproduced as text or as a series of diagrams. I would like to offer the option of an audio version.
Does anyone have knowledge of converting text file to .iff file. I am working on a VB ASP application. I searched for example on internet but I didn't get anything.

I am trying to post data from an application to a .asp page. What i want to do is to redirect the form post (with all its parameters) to an executable file (.exe) . I am using IIS 6.0 . Is there a way to do this.

Just after the table creation but it doens;t work because when i click on submit it ask me to save or open MailForm.asp. So is there anyone who can explain me how to run this file directly with in html page or how to use asp code in html page.
I wanna just include a .php in a .asp page,I mean,I use PHP Code:

I am using two fields on a form to capture time someboby is working. The fields are hours and minutes. How can I when submitting to the db take both fields and convert them to a single field in the db as minutes?

I have some PHP scripts that need to be converted to ASP3 so that they can run on a Micrsoft NT server using ADO. My knowledge of ASP is limitied so i was hoping you could answer a few questions..
1. Is ADO part of ASP.net or is this completely different? 2. Is ASP3 the same as ASP.net? 3. Is there any advice you can give me regarding converting from PHP to ASP3?
I've stored a set of months in an access database as numbers but when it display on the front end I need it to display as the name of the month.
How would you convert the numbers in the database to their word equivalent? Or is it possible to arrange the months in their correct order in the database?

I have an asp page that successfully writes out the form data to a text file. I would like to use Blat (or other free email utility) to send the contents of the text file to a user. The code to email is as follows:

I am guessing that it may not like the two sets of double quotes. Is it possible to do this? The company is not willing to spend $$$$$ on actual sendmail package.
i have many *.html* pages with the same header. i wanted to make one *header* file and put a link to that file in all html pages. So if i ever need to make changes in the header, i will need to edit only 1 file rather than all pages.
for *.asp* pages this code works fine:-

but the same **include** does not work for *.html* pages. i guess there is some other way to put a link!
(incidentally, the more i look at it, the more i feel i should point out that to be totally sure your SQL statement is correct you should write it like:
INSERT INTO table_name (column1, column2,...) VALUES (value1, value2,....) so that you know your info is going to the right column on the table
I have a csv file that has 2 columns..."Name" and "Team" I would like to be able to have 2 dropdown menus on a webpage showing both of these and a method (a post I guess) to change which team they are a member off...For example Joe is in Team 1 but moves to Team 2, from this page the user can change Joe to Team 2..

I've inherited some code that takes a MS Project File (.mpp), parses it into an Oracle database, and then pulls the info out of the database and displays it on a web page.
The data is all going into the database correctly except the calendar as defined by the user in MS Project uses a Fiscal Year calendar w/ Quarters starting 1-October. The web version of the Project File is displaying the start of the Fiscal Year as 1-January. Anyone know how to fix this?
i was trying to run bat file from asp page and getting: Access Denied
but when i run the bat file from the command prompt on the local server, it's running good the bat file copying files from target computer in the LAN to the local computer, o.k
i give write and execute permission on the IIS for this site on the local folder(where the bat file) i assign full NTFS access for "test" user on the target computer i shared the folder with Everyone Full control and assign Full NTFS access for the "test" user but still cannot run the .bat file
where it can be the problem, how i need to set the site on the IIS to run the bat file?
I have a code in asp which counts the number of visitors visited the site, how do I call this file to the html page? Is it by using <!include ...> or is there any other way of doing it. I tried using the include method it is not working and also I tried using <script language="JavaScript" src="hitcounter.asp"></script>, that also does'nt work. When they open the index page it should automatically display the visitor's number. Can you please help me with this?

My data input page uses a id generator which includes dashes, and the corresponding column in the db is set up as varchar to handle that. There is a problem, however, when the value in the varchar column is compared to the string from the URL, and the following error message occurs:
"Syntax error converting the varchar value '071-213' to a column of data type int."

Would it be possible to CAST the request string to varchar?

I have a project to do that requires that I use mysql as the database. I have only used MS Access. The sql will be simple searches. Is there a drastic difference, or just different punctuation? Can I find a copy of mysql on the web? If so, is there any advice on installing?
