I have a timesheet application I'm working on. The user fills in a form which sends data to an Access db. On the results page I need to display the values from 2 fields; i.e if the user selects "Report Writing" from a drop down list, I need the data contained in another column called 'Codes' to display as well.
In one of my asp webpage,i am fetching the data from a XML file and which indeed is fetching data from mySql database.
Now the date time format i am getting in from XML is "Wednesday, October 24, 2007, 2:03:42 PM" and when i display that time in my asp webpage then it shows like "Wed, 24 Oct 2007 19:03:42 +0000"
I am trying to do an INSERT using the Now() function to populate a MySQL DateTime field. It is giving me the following error:
Incorrect datetime value: ‘11/20/2005 4:56:39 PM’ for Column ‘DateAdded’ at row 1.
The SQL works if I remove the DateAdded part so I assume the SQL statement is good. The reading I have done on MySQL shows examples using the Now() function inserting into different date/time MySQL data types so I don’t understand why my SQL is not working. I am trying to use the DateTime data type… basically, I want to keep as accurate of a date time as possible.....
I have a simple recordset which selects various fields from an SQL table on my ASP page and displays them accordingly. However, ones of the fields is set to DATETIME(starttime). How do I get that field to display the time rather than both the time and the appended date?
I have a small (still) SQL database, which I am trying to query from an ASP page.
The field I am querying is of DATETIME data type, and is populated automatically using the GetDate() function as a default value.
When I try and search on this field, using a date/time in the format dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss as the search criteria, it fails with the following error:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value.
Can anyone tell me why this is? Surely if I am passing a value in the correct format for the data stored in the field it should work? Or am I missing something.
I have the tables set up in Access, viewing in column format on ASP pages but now the company wants the schedule reports to be in a wall-calendar type format. I've searched and found calendar scripts but I need one that's creates a table resizable to a report size format. Using the existing MS Access db I've written is also a plus.
I am trying to use the datetime function. I am using Access as my backend database if you are wondering. I am building a program where someone can keep track of the software in our department and she wanted it to be able to email her when the software has been checked out for over 7 days. how to do this or where I begin? I am not too familiar with how one would add to dates in ASP.
I've looked over the last 2000 posts for info on incorportating an RSS feed on a web page using ASP to control the display - especially which elements are shown and how many items are shown. I found a free ASP script that I hoped would do the job >>>
I am using MS access and for a field in my table I have a column of type date/time and I specified a medium time format. In Access it shows as 1:00 PM but when I display on the page it shows as 1:00:00 PM Why is this?
I am using the query bellow to display some fielsd on my page and am having some problema displaying the data from calltime. I have the field setup in access as short time but when it is displayed on the page it displays as 12:15 AM. How can I remove the AM/PM from the display?
<% notesSQL = "Select * From notes where callID =" &RSupdate("callID") Set RScalls = dbConnection.Execute(notesSQL) Do While Not RScalls.EOF callscounter=callscounter+1 %> <%=rscalls("notes")%> Added by: <%=rscalls("employee")%> on <%=rscalls("notesdate")%> Time Spent: <%= rscalls("calltime") %><br>
In backend access table, I have set date format as medium date i.e. 15/Nov/2007 but in ASP output it shows as 11/15/2007. Can it be displayed as 15/Nov/2007? Also there is a hyperlink .. Code:
But it does not work properly and gives only to output, not CC or subject. I want to make a mailto link which can have to, cc, subject and if possible mail body also.
I currently have a .asp web (using VBScript) that retrieve the date field from my Access database. The format stored in my database is in DD-MMM-YY format.
But when i display it onto the web, it is in MM/DD/YY format. May i know if there is any way i can change the format that i display to DD-MMM-YY , or to a DD-MM-YY format?
It shows the data but not like in the data table (Access). I would like that the numbers have a 2 digit decimal behind the comma i.e.123.456,30 and negative numbers should be in red and in brackets i.e. (123.456,30) So, the format should be: $#.##0,00;($#.##0,00)[Red] as I have done it in the table - but not in ASP
Where do I have to enter the format in the ASP code? - or - Where do I have to enter the format in the Html code? Is someone able to write me the coding line?
I need a user to follow a format. For example entering a date. I need the user to enter a date in this format MM/DD/YY. How do I check to see if they followed that format?
I need the user to enter a currency amount without the "$" sign. How do I check to see if the Request.Form("price") value has a "$" sign in it? I guess I need to know how to parse a string in ASP.
I cannot get the date format correctly in dynamic sql statement, after trying various ways of handling it. I need some help with the date format in the following dynamic sql statement. Any help is appreciated in advance. While running the asp page, I still get an error as Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A000D) Type mismatch: 'Format'
In my db, I have a date field wich as the format yyyy-mm-dd but when I receive the value from the DB, I'd like to change it to dd-mm-yyyy... How can I do this?
I try to display the time from an access db in 12hr clock format. Am I missing something simple? The time is held in the medium date format ie 07.30pm and I'm using:
FormatDateTime(rs("StartTime"), vbshorttime)
but this displays 19:30 instead of 7:30. If I change to vblongtime I get 19:30:00 and if I change the time field format to short time I still get 19:30. What am I doing wrong??!
I will be eternally greatful if someone can provide snippet of code, URL or reference material that shows how to display data in a "n colums * n rows" format.
I am new to ASP and have looked everywhere that I could, but I have not found an example where data can be formatted to be displayed in a 3 * 4 foramt, like many of the professional sites would do (actually rows and columns can be any number of rows and columns) All the examples that I have seen, show data displayed in a top down format.
I am using access Memo field to store text of large size. If I use <%=memofield%> in simple display, it does not look like a formatted field and all text comes in a single line without any break.
Even If the text is same like what I am posting in this thread, out come will not have break in browser's display.
