I have this SQL statement which i have written in ASP program of mine. How do i display the count of the records i am pulling from the table?

I have a question about looping in a recordset. I'm actually showing some actualities in a page, based on a start and end date. All is working well. My problem is that I put a <hr> between each news, but I don't want a <hr> at the end of the last news. I would like to count how many results I have in my recordset so I would be able not to show the last <hr>.

However, on my dreamweaver Form, when a record is selected, i wish to have the single zero '0' displayed as Four zeros '0000'. I have a column n_fog defined as text. In this i have numbers or blank value in it.

And it doesn't return anything..
When I ask Isnull(total) the answer is "False".
So, if it has a value, why doesn't return it?

What I want to do is count records in a table. if that count result is an
even number do something, if it is an odd number, do something else. sortof
