would it be done it such a way

I have created a form in HTML with no problems, but I can't find any tutorials on how to (or whether I even can) have the results of what the user inputted into the form directly to me. I would also like to be able to have the results stored in an Excel Spreadsheet as well. I've found tutorials on how to send to addresses inputted into the form, kind of like a 'Thanks for Participating' sort of thing and I've tried to modify it to get it to work for sending me messages, but I just can't get it to work.

So say I have 2 sections of my form. I want section 1 to be emailed to person1@host.com and I want section 2 to be emailed to person2@host.com.

I am trying to email form contents using ASpmail. I have gotten the form to email the contents, however, when the email is received the contents are in a very random order. Is there a way to get the information in the email to appear in the same order in which the form fields appear on the form page?
View Replies View RelatedI have these email forms (using CDO) that email the content of a form to different people in our organization. Now I'd like to also email the user after they initially submit the form to confirm that we've received their information and advise them of the next steps.
My problem is that I'm trying to create 2 email instances on 1 asp page I think... which I guess is 1 session?? I'm kinda lost. How can I generate two seperate emails from one form submission? Of course, my first attempt was to just copy the original email code and change the variable names... but that doesn't work... it gets stuck on setting up the CDO config.....
I have programmed several online forms(typically using cgi).A client of mine does not like how the results are formated (the long column of text)Is there anything I can do to program the results of this online form to get put into another format that would be e-mailed to the receipient?
View Replies View RelatedIs there a way to grab all the results from the querystring which are sent via a form submit? In PHP, you can just do something like $var = _GET; which will grab all the fields on the querystring.
View Replies View RelatedI created an html form in which the results will be emailed. Right now the results are able to be emailed in text format. however, i need to somehow parse the information in to html format.
this is so that the person that will be the one receiving the results will be able to process the forms without having to reinput any information into the actual form for filing purposes.
The first page you come to in my Web application is default.asp. This gives
the user the ability to click on a drop down menu and choose a prior date
( to update or add info) or they may simply choose to add a new date and
info. They click on submit and it sends the info to the database and opens
up another page called updateproduction.asp. This page shows the results
from default.asp plus other calculations. I have a button on
updateproduction.asp that says "Send Email". When I click on that I want
the user to be able to send a copy of the updateproduction.asp page to
several email accounts. I currently have tried using CDONTS and can click
on the "Send Email" button to send a test email with html (Simply "You have
sent a successful email" in the body) with success.
If I can't send the asp page, is there a way to save the asp page to an htm
page in the code? This would allow me to send a link out to everyone
instead of the actual page.
I have an asp form. The results of the form both populate a database (thus generating a unique id #) and also get emailed. I now need to send the unique id in the email. How do I do this if the id is being created concurrently with the email? Code:

Can someone please tell me if its possible to create an instance of CDOSYS (to send an emails) on one host and have the email sent from another host.. or are there obvious gaps in my understanding of what takes place when one tries to send an email using CDOSYS or CDONTS?
View Replies View RelatedI have 2 part question: I have an html form: https://ws13.ipowerweb.com/eoscorg/pre-op_form.htm I created that has to have SSL on it. The form also includes a confirmation page to the user after the submit button is hit. However, I have been informed because I used Front Page to create the form, the SSL doesn't work with Front Page's form handler. So I want to know if I can use ASP.NET to create the form and without any conflicts with SSL? Also, I want to find out if all the form objects (form fields, text box fields) have to be coded as ASP.NET objects or can I keep the html form objects and just use ASP.NET code to send the form to an email address and to then send the confirmation page to the user? In other words do I have use ASP.NET code for the whole form?

I am trying to build a page in ASP/MSsql with the aid of dreamweaver, the page contains total of 6 Questions, each question has 3 choices, of which one of the choice contains the right answer with a hidden value = to 1 and the wrong choice hidden value = to 0.
What i am trying to achieve is to collect the values and insert it to a database and at the same time display the results on the confirmation page.
Collecting data’s and inserting to the database is not a problem which i am able to do it. The area that i am stuck is the possibility to collect the values, adds the number of right answers (e.g. 1+1+0+0+1+0 = 3) and displays it on the confirmation page.
I was thinking if it was possible to use cookies for this, like storing the values Q1 = 1 when it is correct and Q1 = 0 when it is wrong while submitting the form and the confirmation page retrieves the values from the cookies, addition the number of right answers ( Q1+Q2+….Q6) and display it on the page.
E.g. the confirmation page displays: Your score is 2 out of 6.
I have an asp page that gives results for a search from a previous page from streetguide.streets in MySql. The page displays the UserName of the person logged in.
I have the results of this query displayed inside a form with hidden variables. When the user clicks "save to my folder" I want it to create a table in the mysql db with the same name as the user name, and then write to this table.
I have it working if I created the table beforehand, but I want the table to be created dynamically upon form submission with the table name to match the persons user name.
I have a webpage with ASP that is a form. I have the form setup to send the results to an email address (using the Frontpage feature). We have published the page to the web, but it will not send email. It simply does nothing. This is the code:
<form name="Datasheet" method="POST" action="DataSheet.asp" webbot-action="--WEBBOT-SELF--">
<!--webbot bot="SaveResults" S-Email-Format="TEXT/PRE"
S-Email-Address="ray.clark@721-file.com" B-Email-Label-Fields="TRUE" S-Builtin-Fields startspan -->
I have purchased a form processing script, which basically saves the data into a database, emails certain people's email addresses with the form results, and also sends an email to the user that filled in the form with a thank you email.
However, all the emails are being sent in plain text format. I would like to change this to HTML so I can make the results look nicer and also make the thank you email look nicer.
I have emailed the script developers, but have yet had a response from them, so i thought id put a post on here!
I have found the part of the coding that sends the Thank You email out to the user once they have filled in the form:
'/// Send Autoresponse
if replyto<>"" and (autoresponse<>"" or sendcopy<>"") then
if sendcopy<>"" then autoresponse=autoresponse & vbcrlf & vbcrlf & message
call sendmail(replyto,mailadmin,formname,autoresponse)
end if
end if .......
I am currently working on script which needs to be able to send personalized emails.
The number of emails needing to be sent at one time could be anywhere from 100 to 100,000.
I would like to provide this as a background process. IE The administrator clicks on the "Dispatch Emails" button, is able to continue with his work, and then sometime later a popup windows shows up telling him the emailing was successful.
The script is currently using a sendmail function using CDONTS. Will this be able to handle a large number of emails? What about being able to somehow have the sendmail functioning in the background?
I have never worked with ASP send mailing features before and I guess I am looking for suggestions as to how i should go about this.
I've got a form which people will fill out on the web with information such as there name, email address etc.
Ive got it to email through to me but any ideas how i can also get it to email a message back to them based on the email address they place in the email field?
I am having problems emailing an ASP page within the body of the email.Is there an easier way than using CDONTS to accomplish this?
Here is what i have so far:
objBody="/download.ASP"
Set objCDO = Server.CreateObjec("CDONTS.NewMail")
objCDO.From = "asj1297adv@yahoo.com"
objCDO.To = "asj1297adv@yahoo.com"
objCDO.Subject = "Testing"
objCDO.Body = objBody
objCDO.BodyFormat = 0
objCDO.MailFormat = 0
objCDO.Send
What i end up getting is an email with the following as the contents of the body "/download.ASP". Is there an easy way to assign an ASP page to a variable and send it through email.
We have stored user registration information in an Access database, and we wish to develop an email with attachments like words document and pictures in jpeg/gif format and import mailing list from the Access database and to send this to the user .
View Replies View RelatedI need to send an email out to about 800 members of our organization once every month. I've been using a 3rd party listserver, but that's been cumbersome at best, trying to keep the two email databases in sync and all.
I know how to write an asp loop to query our database and send an email to each of the 800 recipients, but I'm not sure if this is the right approach. We have an sql-driven website that's tied in as well, so ideally what I want to do is use asp to grab some website data from the sql database, generate the email text, then cycle through our membership database sending it to each member. Is this a good method, or what would be a better approach?
I need to send batch html emails out from a db mailing list (anything up to 1000 in one go).I am using CDOSYS and standard ASP. My problem is that it will error if I try to do any more that 5 every 30 seconds - this is fine when I send them out myself (I have a script to do this) but now I need a program which will allow users to send out batches and I want it to appear seamless.

I have different templates for different companies to be sent to the customer. first i get all the templates from the DB by giving: Select templates from tempates;
Now i want the user to select one..may be we can have a radio button displayed near the textarea in which i will be displaying the templates from DB. Once the agent selects one of the templates to be sent,that template should be sent as an email to the customer.
