Error Type:Active Server Pages, ASP 0138 --- Multiple Scriptblocks?

The problem occured when I used FP2002 to create a page to search a database. The purpose was to see how it worked and the code behind it so I could start learning how to work it myself.

But before I got that far, I get an error message:

HTTP 500.100 - Internal Server Error - ASP error

Error Type:

Active Server Pages, ASP 0138 (0x80004005)
A script block cannot be placed inside another script block.

Browser Type:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98) (Mozilla/5.0 came back with the same message)

But unless I'm mistaken (and I probably am), the only scriptting on the page is this: Code:

Active Server Pages Error 'ASP 0113' Script Timed Out

I have an ASP form that uploads files to our server. When I upload small files, it works great. But larger files like (2.5mb), I get:

Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113' Script timed out

I have looked up the error, and added more time to the script (up to 10 minutes). Didn't help. We are using Microsoft Server 2000, IIS 5.0, and Microsoft ASP Upload.

My guess is that there is a file size limitation somewhere, but don't where.

Active Service Pages... Multiple Restarts

w2k server... after rebooting the event viewer/application log shows multiple
restarts of Active Server Pages and they continue to build in memory as each
start produces a IWAM_SERVERNAME in the task manager.

there might be 10 - 20 starts without a stop... when I restart iis services it
takes a long time as each started service is stopped and the associated
IWAM_SERVERNAME is closed.

this seems to be something new and when checking other w2k servers it is
unusual.

Could Not Load Type 'XXX.web.Global'. Parser Error Server Error

This New Company I'm with Sets their Default WebSite to a local Directory on "D" Yea I've been down the whole route reinstalling XP Pro,,, IIS 5.1 The .NET framework everything. Now I'm just frustrated.

What the Heck !! Theres a web project (C# ASP.net) in the solution containing many many some odd 19 or so projects. MSVSS is additionally in the picture to make things a little more complex. (I.E. the non web projects go elsewhere on the D drive) All I'm asking for here are the BASIC Settings to get my DEV environment and my IE to "SEE" this D:Web folder as Localhost. It worked for a sec. A very brief second. Then it was Gone. Specific ERROR:

SQL Server]Error Converting Data Type Varchar To Int.

This is the code for my Procedure:

Code: .....

When I execute this code, I receive this error on line 314:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Error converting data type varchar to int.
Line 314 is the classComm.Execute line. All the datatypes in my stored procedure those specified in the parameter declararations, and they all match with the datatypes in the DB. Other than the strings that are integer (strClassID) or date (strOccurDate), everything is a varchar.

I have no idea why this error is occurring. I have a similar stored procedure that adds the records in the same way and it kicks out the same error at the same time.

Calling DLL From Active Server

I have created an Active Server Component (ASC) as a bridge between ASP and my existing C++ DLLs that we use in our PC-based program. Our intent is to re-use as much code as possible. But, when I call the ASC from ASP, and then call the DLL, the security profile that is specified in IIS is no longer associated with the process, and therefore, any "network-related" calls fail due to insufficient privileges.

I don't know if there is "another" way to call the DLL from the ASC or not, or any way to specifically load a DLL with a certain security profile.

Accessing A Web Service From An Active Server Page

I have implemented a Web Service on an IIS 5.0 platform using the ASP listener
I can access the Web Service just fine from a VB 6 App and classic ASP using the SOAP 3.0 toolkit and its "MSSOAP.SoapClient30" object

However, one of the servers that I'd like to call the Web Service from is a shared hosting platform that does not offer the "MSSOAP.SoapClient30" object
It only has the MS XMLDOM. I have located an example of Accessing a Web Service via the MSXML DOM from an Active Server Page where the Web Service is on a .NET platform (http://home.att.net/~codeLibrary/ASP/ws.htm

But I need to know how to access a Web Service from an Active Server Page with the MS XMLDOM where the Web Service is implemented using classic ASP.

The problem is when I browse one page to another (redirecting from page1.asp to page2.asp) the other page is again start downloading these images & flash movies. But they are already downloaded by previous page (page1.asp)

Is there any way that to save time, I use the same media (images & flash) that are already downloaded by first page.

While for variables, we can do that by putting them in session. But for media...any know any way....

Multiple Pages On Searchresults

I would like to add multiple pages to this searchresults page, where i just show 10 pages per page.

The details for the sql statements need to be passed forward onto the second results page. Initially this is where i was going wrong.

I have completley striped the multiple pages section to leave just a simple results page.

Initially if i had opened the connection via a select * recordset i would have no problems but in my sql statement i have it using information from previous page. e.g
Code:

select * from prospect where number = '" & requst.form("search") & "'

I would be really grateful if someone could show me a simple way of having multiple pages while passing the variables forward as i could not get it to work my way.

I am posting the whole page because of the ammount of code and it is better than pasting multiple replies of code.
