I have a string (holding a book title) that contains an apostrophe. This is generating an error when I try to pass it through sql into a table of orders. I retrieve it from the form with
title=request.form("title")
I'm trying to pass it through with: '"&rs("title")&"'
This isn't working. I tried taking out the ' ' but that didn't help, nor did elmiminating the " " help eather. Can someone suggest what might be the problem?

I have a prob passing some vars from an .swf to an .mdb using a n .asp file. When I use the getURL command instead of loadVariablesnum, I am getting this error:

i have a table 'Accounts' in my database, which contains a bunch of
users. From the main menu i choose "edit user" and all users in the db
are presented in a table. The first column 'Pnr' is a unique ID for
each user that i made appear as a link. clicking on one userID should
present a form where the picked users userdata is already filled in so
i can easily edit it and then move on to submit the form to update the
db. i get to the part where all users are listed nicely in a table,

I have an ASP page that loops through a SQL Server 2000 table, then
downloads an Excel sheet the users can save, etc. Works fine, except, I see
that in one particular "comments" field the Excel sheet returns a #VALUE!
error in the cell when there is a large amount of text. I've looked through
the MSKB, MSDN and many ng posts to see if there is a workaround or solution
to this, inclduing looking at the xlWorksheet properties (I've tried
'xlWorksheet.Cells(iRow, 11).WrapText = True), played with Orientation, etc.
But to no avail.

I have a form on asp page that pulls info from a DB when the page loads.
It them puts the info into text boxes on the page that are editable by the

The only problem I have is say in the description text box it should
read "HP Laserjet 5Si" , it always cuts the text off where it just says "HP"

how can I parse this with a reg ex? I tried this:

but it only captures 1 submatch (text1) and only if theres an "or"
after it
I'd like to get 1 submatch for each piece of text separated by the
"or", just the text itself if there is no or.
Anyone know how to do it?
