View RepliesI would like export the records retrieved from database to excel worksheets. unfortunately, each worksheet will support until 65535 records and I have about 1 million of records to write. So I have to write into few worksheets in the same workbook. But I cant get the way how to do it. I manage to create the new worksheet in my workbook but I cannot write content into it. How can I do so?

In Microsoft Excel Application, in each worksheet you cannot insert more than 65,536 rows in a single worksheet.
So if the user tries to download reports which crosses 65,536 rows it will fail and getting timed out.I need to export a 90 thousand plus records (does not matter how many excel work sheets).
I am trying to export a group of tables to an excel workbook and I would like to export table 1 to sheet 1, table 2 to sheet 2 etc. I am using

when user click a button data will be fetched from database based upon condition and it will be exported to multiple sheets of a single excel work book. what I am doing, onclick of button in main page, I am invoking a new asp page through document.location.href=test.asp.
In test.asp page created a instance of excel.applicaion and then fetching data from backend and putting data to different workbook cells of the the excel and at the end making excel.visible=true but the problem is excel file not getting visible on client machine.
But when I remove some server side code and put the rest of code inside vbscripting tag in the main asp page then the excel file becomes visible on client machine. I am not getting the where the problem lies in the first part .
I know how to read data from an MS Excel file, just as if i amreading it from an Access DB with recordsets and stuff like that.
Want i'm wanting to know is:
is there a way to export 2 different recordsets that I have loaded into 2 different "sheets" within the one Excel file
I can export 1 or more recordsets to 1 Excel sheet, but I really need to export them to individual sheets in the same Excel file.
i hav problem with updating the data. In the asp page i hav displayed records based on search criteria. in display mode im displaying the to be updated field in combo box for each similar contract_no. each contract_no will hav different no of rows and to be updated combo box.

out how to do two things:
1) specify a name for the worksheet that's exported (it names the
worksheet "blah.asp?q=123" when the user wants to see "Monthy Quotas"
2) generate multiple worksheets. The exported spreadsheet should have
about 6 tabs on the bottom that all contain different information in
the same report.

I have to create a page that contains a daily register information for more than 1 person each person should be added as a new record to the db. Is this possible? How would I go about doing this, I know how to create new records that add data to a db but I am not too sure how to add more than 1 record at a time.

The form display all records from a search query and then the user selects whether to post the record of put the record on hold (two fields in the database).
Now everywhere I have looked I only see examples which update the records by using counts but I could end up with any number of records. I thought that using a loop would be an idea to get passed this.

Each subject is in a different table so I want the FROM part of my SQL statement to loop through the values selected from the list box which I've loaded into an array.

I have a master/detail table configuration in a SQL database.Each record in the master table can have many records, which are stored in the details table.I need to create an update page that will allow the user to view, update or add new records within the details table that is associated to a master table record.
So, say I have 7 fields in the detail table and I'm pulling 20 records from the table that is associated to a specific master record. I would have 20 rows each with 7 columns that need to be updated or added to.
The columns contain dropdown menus,which will hold the value from each field in the detail table But,I also need to pull data from other tables that will hold the other values for the dropdown menus.
