Focus On HTML File Field Control
I have a specific requirement.I have a html file field control in
my page..i browse for file to upload and when i close the dialog
box,the cursor position should be in the text box of that file field
control.

Is there an ASP equivalent to Javascript's '...focus.();' that returns focus to a form field? I want to accept input from a user on a form.This input is to be databased and also unique. I want to check the user's input against what already exists in the database. If the input already exists.
I want to generate a pop up dialog box ala javascript and then when it's acknowledged, return focus to the form field.

I have a C# application where I have a client side html input:

As per the current logic, we are creating one application variable on application_onstart event, it contain all records of table containing screen name, and other html control related information. Drop Down Menu Hve Html Control
I have a dropdownlistbox (html control) and some text fields displayed on my page. The top menu bar of my page works fine in every case (as it always be on top of every thing that i display in my page) except of DropDown Combobox (html control). WHY ?
Can not understand the reason why my combobox always displayed on top when i tried to select some other item from my menu bar (say some other page) while my menu bar always on top for other controls.

I am building an asp form with various elements

Where the [x] is the order I want, so far so good and using the tab key
provides the desired results however...
When I *click* on one of the elements the tab order is not updated and so the
next tab key jumps to wherever tabbing left off.
Is there a way to use onfocus() or something to update the tab order so the
next tab will focus on the next element after the *clicked* element?

Setting Focus After VBScript Processing
I have a form which has 1 textbox in it. When the user enters a number, and tabs, it submits the form and the textbox disappears and the name of the person that the ID corresponds to is displayed (filters recordset, returns name).
The problem I have is that this is the first textbox on the page, and when the user tabs, the tab order gets funky and the user has to click on the next textbox. This is unacceptable to my data entry people, as they are used to tabbing everywhere. Does anyone have any ideas?

I need to be able to get the value of each 'File Field' into its own variable.
But you do not seem to be able to access them the way you do with normal form fields.

I have a website that takes a long time to generate/load, so I'm looking for a way to have the ASP update hourly and save that to an HTML file, which is the actual file viewed by users. I could go through and have everything written via writing to text file, but this seems like more work than needs to be done. File Upload HTML/JS To ASP/SQL
I've written a few HTML/javascript web sites that push with ASP into SQL databases.
The one thing I've never had to do is create a file upload, and now I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to do that. I've got an input type=file and I have a preview if it's a picture that updates as it's changed, but how do I send the file to the server?
I found one PHP example, but I'm not very familiar with PHP and would rather not have to learn it just for this (though it is on my to-do list anyway)
Has anyone done this? Can you enlighten me as to what the next step is?
