our website uses ASP VB script and SP to authenticate users login.
However going through the log of logged in users, we noticed a certain username "wrecko" that was successfully logged in
How is this possible, when the username does not exisit in our db ?
One of my friend said written source codes with asp.net can easily be stolen by hackers from the host server. Because of that how can i protect my server from this type of hacking?
View Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a log on script that gives the user 3 chances to enter a correct password. On the third attempt, I want to redirect them to a page which tells them which passowrds they attempted to enter.
I can get the page to redirect on the 3rd logon attempt, but it displays the 3rd password attempt as blank. Here is a sample of my code. Also, is it possible to clear the cookie so if on the 3rd attempt, the attempts is back at 0. For example, would I be able to set the request.cookies("login")("attempts") back to 0 would that fix it?
