I just installed IIS on my Windows 2000 system. I tried to place a .ASP page on my C:Inetpubwwwroot directory, and it seems to work.
However, when I change the page content (the code, or even the text), the page doesn't seem to refresh... (It doesn't seem to be a IE cache problem). Is there something I'm forgetting in my IIS configuration ? (or in the global.asa file ?)
We've changed a page in our website, but it does not seem to display the changed page when viewing in the browser although we have cleared all the cached files. what might cause the problem?
I used it to change my computer setting exactly as it says. after that myapplication is giving wrong results. If i set up the application on other computers it is working fine which means that all problems are due to the settings that I changed. However I do not know how to undo the changes that I made.
I also have a perl CGI script and I just need one part of that script to be altered by the action of the form. So the user would select from a drop-down menu and, depending on their choice, the perl script would be changed accordingly and then executed.
I have a webform with 3 text boxes and a submit button Based on the first textbox data I'm filling up the remaining two. If the first box data is not found in the database I want to display a confirm dialog box. I need to know the return value from this confirm dialog as I have to clear the other fields in the form, if the user hits yes the I should retain the values in the other fields. I have tried hours on it by using hidden variables...but still couldnt get it to work.
I'm populating some records by using DataGrid and i have put delete option as item template. now on click of delete i want to popup confirm message box.
I think we have a corrupt IIS metabase on our web cluster. The controller is replicating the problem to the members. What steps can we take to confirm our IIS metabase is intact? I would prefer not to do ADSI calls. Isn't there a command to interate thru the metabase?
I have created a table view of some from an access db. There is a link on the table which calls another page to Delete a record from the db.I would like to know if it is possible to have a button pop up on screen when a link is pressed to confirm that the user wishes to take the action.
Or perhaps a confirm page which details the record and whether the user wants to delete it?
I'm trying to add a Javascript OnClick feature so that when the end-user clicks the delete option, he/she will see a pop-up window that says, "Are you sure you want to delete this document?". I have something like this in other parts of my site, but just copying and pasting the code doesn't work.
And although I've read tutorials and googled for answers, I'm such a newbie, and can't figure out how to plug a Javascript alert into my code. So many quotation marks and apostrophes, parenthesees ... all I'm getting are syntax errors! Code:
Basically I cannot get this baby to work other than to allow the GUEST ACCESS and the ADMIN ACCESS the MEMBER ACCESS I am not even sure if it is even connecting to the databse.
Here is the code for the CONFIRMLOGIN page and also the LIBRARY.INC page. When Logging in as a MEMBER it simply redirects to the mainview page but as a GUEST. Ishn't dat vierd? Code:
I'm trying to make a confirm window for my site, the confirmation ask user a question with yes or no answer then if the response is yes redirects the user to a page and if its no redirects to another page. The problem is that i need the two pages to carry a different querystring; also i need this to act as a link and not as a form.
i have a recordset that displayed all the infos about a record and a delete herf or button i want whenever i wanna delete a record a dialog box to appear with YES/NO/CANCEL button.
yes to confirm delete no to disagree and return to the previous page Cancel to cancel the action and remain in the same page !!
I have the following ASP code which displays a confirmation message when a particular form is successfully submitted. What i need to do is open the message in a blank (_self) browser window. Can this be done using ASP or would it have to be done using Javascript?
I check to see if a certain submission button is asking for removal. If the removal is true, I update a recordset's delete column. This has been tested and it works. However, now I'd like to prompt the user to make sure that he/she wants to remove the record. Here's the code: ....
<A HREF="http://SomeWebSite" OnClick="return confirm('Are you sure?')">Click me</A>
or
<A HREF="http://SomeWebSite" OnClick="return confirm('Are you sure?');return false;">Click me</A>
Everything fine in XP and 2000, but in all WindowsMe Stations, it redirects the link even the users click no, I check all the computers, they have installed IE6 Sp1 and js enabled. What wrong ?
Okay there is an unique EventRegID for every registration. When people first register they get pre-registered. Then an admin comes in and confirms or wait list them (based on whatever requirements). My question is how can I tie the EventRegID to a form with multipule ID's so they can batch confirm or wait list the PreReg list? Code:
it would display $100.00 when i go to insert that value into the database the value i get is $100.00 and i get an error, i need to get rid of the $ sign but not sure how to do it because the number range can be from 1 to a billion dollars.
I have this code for asp that if the value is null it insert a null instead of a blank, else i get an error message in access.
'Expiring_Premium = request.form("Expiring_Premium") if (request.form("Expiring_Premium")) ="" then Expiring_Premium = "Null" else _ Expiring_Premium = request.form("Expiring_Premium")
This is hard to explain, but I have wanted to know how to do this. Say you have a website, and you have a news box(where you can report all of your news), made of a picture(s), you know like something that says "news" at the top of the 'box', and the sides of the 'box' are a picture. I have wanted to know how to make one of these 'boxes' without having to use the <div> tag, and type as much text in there as i want, and it wouldnt mess up a table or anything, or realign it, because the <div> automatically wraps around the text, fitting perfectly to it. I was wondering if you can 'wrap' around the text without a <div>, but with pictures. Here is an example, this picture called ex.gif. I know it is a link menu, but what if you wanted to add a couple more links. How would you get the 'box' to automatically resize so that it does not messup the table. I am not even sure if this is capable in ASP, but I am sure somebody knows what I am talking about.
I have a guestbook form that inserts the fields into an Access Database. The database is residing in the "fpdb" folder that was created by FrontPage. The ASP page that writes the data into the databse uses the "recordset.addnew" method. The code was working fine a couple of weeks ago, and now all of a sudden the error message "Cannot update.Database or object is read-only" pops up. The ASP code or the database was not changed or modified in any way, neither were the permissions for the account.
I have quite strange problem and hope you guys can help me out or provide me with some tips. when using a update script: UPDATE categorys SET main_cat_default= '0', banner= '', b_link= '', external_text= 'Nākotnes parks', name = 'Arzemju muzika' WHERE (id = 115)
Then it messes up field EXTERNAL_TEXT. Instead of Nākotnes parks it saves it as Nakotnes parks. But! when I open Enterprise manager and type in Nākotnes parks manually then it saves it correctly. So I believe there is something with update command or smthing like that.I changed collation also to Latvian and this did not work.
For laptop users who have an ASP application running on their laptops - is there a way I can have it check when connected to the network (via the FSO lastmodifieddate) which files need to be updated (enhancements, etc.), then shoot the ASP pages that have changed down to the client?
body is containing a lot of text with vbcrlf in it.This is basically a form that is emailed and I want to save it to a db just in case the emails don't go through. For some reason the field in the db (access) is only containg the first line until the first vbcrlf
I am updating some pages "font "style color size" and a few words in several of my asp pages. Most of them will update but I have a few that refuse to even after rebooting the server and clearing the cache on my current computer.
I was able to generate an RSS for the news I provide with ASP and MS SQL backend. When I opens it its working fine with any RSS reader, But its not getting updated, when I update the feed. Its showing the one which I made the day one, How to rectify and what could be the problem.
I have a database that has numbers in the fields, is there a way I can use the update command to take the value that is already in the field and add another value to that value. The value I want to add to the value alreay in the db is stored in a variable.
