How To Form A Method To Change HTML TD Attributes When Passed Element ID?

I have a ton of TD attributes that have to be changed based on the
data in the DB. All TD elements are ID and runat=server.

Changing the attributes of a SINGLE TD is simple:

<td id=thisTD runat=server>

thisTD.Attributes.Clear();
thisTD.Attributes.Add("Class",reader["thisTD_Class"].toString());

Now, say we have 100 TD elements with IDs TD_1 to TD_100

I have not been able to find a way to (essentially) say:

for(int i=0;i<100;i++){
"TD_"+i.Attributes.Clear();
"TD_"+i.Attributes.Add("Class",reader["TDClass"+i].toString());
}

in J-Script, I could do it by Eval() or about eight ways through the
DOM. It seems crazy to me that if I can access the Attributes of a
specific element directly by ID (thisTD.Attributes), I couldn't also
access it by reference.

But I have been able to find NOTHING to indicate how this may be done.
Obviously, my problem is not limited to a single attribute, or else I
would have just typed them all out by now. Trouble is, there is a lot
of logic that must be applied to the data before setting the
attribute. Without being able to iterate or loop by reference, I will
be typing for ages just to change some freaking classes.

Getting Form Element Names

I have a dynamic form sending information via name=value pairs.I know I can read the value of each element in the sending form by using the following....
for i = 1 to request.form.count
response.write "<p>" & request.form(i)
next

but since it's a dynamic entry page (it's built based on number of fields in a database), I need to know the name of each element also.not just the value.Is there a good way to get the "name" portion of the element on the form without having to parse through the request.form string?

File Attributes

I would like to get some clarification on a file reading issue. I have an ASP that uses FSO to read a set of files read only into memory i.e i create an xml tree and close the files after reading.

However these files belong to another system that may be reading (possibly writing) to them. I want to know whether if my ASP is reading a file and the other thing comes along and reads or tries to write what will happen.

Form Change Based Upon Criteria Selected?

Is it possible (and if so, how?) to have an asp form page that based upon a user's selection on a field, would generate a input field b that the user selects?

For example:

User selects "name" in a select statement which would list the possible names to select from or if the user selects "telephone" in the same select statement then it would list the possible telephone numbers to select from.

Or simpler:

If user selects A then show P to select from or
if user selects B then show Z to select from.

When Change The Directory Then Date Format Will Change

I have virtual directory where I run test.asp page with only this code inside:

<%Response.Write now()%>

As a result, if I go into the IE and browse for the test.asp page, I get :
1/22/2004 14:18:04

If I copy this page on some other(existing) virtual directory, I get as a
result 22.1.2004 14:19:06

If I create a new virtual directory and I copy the page there, I get :
1/22/2004 14:18:04

Seems like that IIS takes english date format even if my regional setting is
:
d.M.yyyy and I would like that date on the page is always like this:
22.1.2004 14:19:06

Where I can change this setting?

Html Form To Asp

I created a html form and its data is sent when the submit button is clicked. The files are: rcf.html this for the users to enter their data, rcf_add.asp this page is to show the users their data is recevied, and rcf_view.asp this page is the view all the data that is in the access database.

The problem I am running into is when the submit button is clicked on rcf.html page, it should take the users to the next page (rcf_add.asp) where saying "thank you..." but instead, the code of the rcf_add.asp is displayed. I am going to upload all of my files and if anyone can figure out why please please let me know! I've been trying for the past week.

Button Passed To URL

I've never seen this before. I am new to querystrings, as just using hidden
fields and the POST method has been more than adequate for me until
recently. But I started using the GET method, and I noticed that when I
clicked the submit button, it gave me this for a URL:

http://localhost/DisplayTickets.ASP...nsearchTSE.y=11

The thing is, selectTSE and Status are the two <SELECT> boxes, so I
understand them being there. But why is is telling me the x and y
coordinates of where I clicked the button to submit the form?
I should add that the submit button is an image, not a regular button.
This doesn't hurt anything, just wondering why it's there. And maybe it will
hurt something later on; I don't know enough to say.

HTML <form> Value Does Not Get Posted

Basically, everything is written in ASP. Firstly, a user fills in an
online (ASP) form, and then submits it to another ASP page (e.g.
Send.asp). Now Send.asp retrieves all the form data and sends another
HTML form via an e-mail. I then receive and open the HTML email(s). Now
everything is going fine up until this point.

When I hit the submit button from the e-mail, it posts all the form
data to another ASP page.

Now this is when things start to get a little weird.

Half the time when I submit the form via Outlook 2003 message, the
other ASP page would load will all the form data intact. Every other
time, the other ASP page would load will NO form data at all; just
blank text boxes, textarea, checkboxes, etc ...

I've done a few experiment of my own in the hope of finding some
answer. So far, I've only seen this happen to Outlook 2003 and not 2000
(we have a mixed between those 2 versions).

Also, it only happens to users in the same state as where the IIS
server is located. For example, the server is located in state A, so
any users with Outlook 2003 in State A will experience this problem
half the time. Other users in State B, C, D, etc ... using Outlook 2003
does not experienc this problem. Because the link is a lot slower for
our interstate users, I'm starting to think that maybe network speed
has a part in this behaviour.
