IIS Plug-in

I think I might be better off changing my URL formatting.
Current:
http://mysite.com/team_schedule.asp?tid=10&yr=pos03

But most articles I see say make it something like this:
http://mysite.com/team/10/schedule/pos03

Better indexing, and also easier to change technologies later on (as there is no whatever.asp, whatever.php, etc.).

So, I saw this:
http://www.isapirewrite.com/

But is something like this needed? Can't I just read the URL entered and parse it? Or is that considered "sloppy"?

Browser Plug-in

We are trying to record browser information when a customer comes to our
site. I have been able to get most basic browser information using both asp
and asp.net. The only thing I’m missing is the ability to detect plug-ins.
Does anyone know how I can access the plug-in collection in IE? I have not
found any clear way of doing it on the internet I’m starting to think I am
headed down the wrong path. Maybe IE doesn‘t call it a plug-in collection?

'plug And Play' ASP Search Component

recommend a decent ASP-based search component, suitable for use on a medium size site? I'm not too bothered about whether it spiders the site with every search, or if it indexes to a database - but it would be good if you know any other decent-size sites currently using it.
