I am starting to write a web application that will be viewed in both IE and Netscape. Does anyone know of any issues I should be aware of from the start before I start coding?

HTA In Netscape
As some people here I've been thinking into converting some of my
applications to HTA, but will they work for the Netscape folks?
Netscape Problem / Asp
A site that i developed with asp seems to work perfectly in internet explorer - however there is a problem with netscape 6.2 + 7 where 2 table Columns are being pushed over to the right - the strange thing is when i use the back button on the browser and go back to the page it seems fine.
i was just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this problem + if its easily fixed.
Unicode Through IE Or Netscape
I have a web application designed to allow non-english characters to be entered in through a form, held in Access and displayed on another page.Each of my pages have the following meta tag:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
My problem is this: if I go to the data entry page and enter Unicode text in Netscape, the text displays ok -- in Netscape, not in IE. Conversely, when I enter Unicode text in IE, the text displays ok -- in IE, not in Netscape.I have been testing it by copying and pasting text from the Unicode.org page such as this one for Arabic:

why Unicode is being treated differently here?
Erm Netscape Doesn't Like My Css
I have stored all my css classes etc in an asp file, or should I say in my favorite html editor, when it asks me where to save my css, I name it as css.asp.
Now everything works totally fine in IE, but when I went to test my first few pages in netscape ( testing my javascript functions ) none of the backgrounds would appear, and all the text was different. Code:

When I use Microsoft Internet Explorer I dont get any error messages, but when I use Netscape 7.2 or Firefox 1.0 I get the following error message

Programatically Setting Form.action For Netscape?
Have a school project in which I have to use an ASP page to process data
from a form submitted by a user. Have to do this 3 ways - Using a Function,
a Sub Procedure, and a Class. Simple enough.
I decided to see if I could get them all to work from 1 submittal page using
an option group of radio buttons, and JavaScripting to send me to the
correct page (just as a personal learning experience). Got this working

Explorer
When trying to connect to the internet I get a message "Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close"--it never actually connects. Prior to this problem I had a bunch of spyware despite having Ad-awareSE, pest patrol, norton anti-virus.
I deleted some programs from "add/remove programs" and may have inadvertently deleted explorer. The desktop icon is gone, I don't find it in "add/remove programs" and i don't find it in windows find/search. I tried system restore and that didn't work either. Should I use my restore disk? Or what?

I'm getting crazy with this. You know that when you install office in your computer it install a plugin for Internet Explorer so when you click in a link to any office document it opens the document inside the explorer instead of asking to save it as normal files.

I am looking for a way to use the IE objects in VB/ASP to download files when prompted from webpages. Specifically just one page. It's an aspx page that generates a csv file for d-load. As soon as I go to the page it immediately prompts me to save, save as, or cancel.
Ultimately, I will build this as a DTS package in MSSQL Svr to grab the file and save it as a .txt file and not a .csv file, so I would need to utilize the save as function of that pop-up box.
English Dates In Internet Explorer
I am writing an ASP application for Internet Explorer in the UK. I have found that some of the computers on our intranet at work display dates in Internet Explorer in English format, and some in American. However, when I look in Control Panel at the regional date settings, they are all set to English date. But IE still shows the date as American.
What is more mystifiying is that the dates in my Access database are saved correctly in the English format. It is as if Access can interpret the dates correctly when saving and retrieving, but IE and ASP cannot when performing calculations or displaying on the screen. There surely must be a way of telling IE to follow the computer regional settings when it stores dates in memory?

MS Visual Interdev 6 - Search Mode With Results Explorer?
When searching through code in Vis. Interdev 6, when in the Find
dialog, it listed the results in the results pane below. The cursor
didn't change position to the next found item until you clicked on a
line in the results.
This is actually a nice feature that I haven't seen before -
all the matches show up at once in a list,
with a column containing the text for the line the string was found
in, so you can quickly see the context of the match.
Anyway, the first couple times I used CTRL-F, I saw a results pane.
Then I must have changed something without realizing,
because now when you search, no results appear in the results pane,
but the cursor moves in the editor window. This is the behavior I am
used to with Vis Studio 6, but I would prefer to turn the results
pane back on.
