Invalid Attempt To Read When No Data Is Present.
I callup the aspx file in IE and the form comes up just fine. When I select a person to update, I get the subject error. Aparently, when I select a person, it's not selecting anyone and returning this error. Here's the full error:
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code:

I'm trying to create a log on script that gives the user 3 chances to enter a correct password. On the third attempt, I want to redirect them to a page which tells them which passowrds they attempted to enter.
I can get the page to redirect on the 3rd logon attempt, but it displays the 3rd password attempt as blank. Here is a sample of my code. Also, is it possible to clear the cookie so if on the 3rd attempt, the attempts is back at 0. For example, would I be able to set the request.cookies("login")("attempts") back to 0 would that fix it? I have a file which is performing a mail merge. It grabs data from the database and then merges with the bookmarks in a template document if the fields are present.
I have set write permissions on the docs folder it should be saving the file to but when I redirect to the file its not being saved.
Not sure whats happening here....hope someone can shed some light or help me in building another script. The main feature i need to add to the mail merge is the ability to only add information if the fields are present. Code:

I had created a macro to read data from an excel sheet and write the values to a text file. I had used "ActiveSheet.Range("GB" & k).Value" command to read the values from the excel.some cells in the excel sheet is having two lines value and four lines data, the text file is generating that value in a single line. (Ex. the cell value in address column is in four lines and should display in four lines in the text file generated from the macro)
Can i do something in the excel sheet or in vb script to read the address value line by line and write line by line in text file?

I have a ASP page on my web Site that has the following code in it.
Response.Redirect ("Validation.asp?BookingNo=45656756")
This code works fine most of the time. I have found cases when the browser drops the file extension of of the file leaving the Url as something like "Validation?BookingNo=45656756" and of course the browser then fails to find the correct web page. I have noted that the problem has occured you a user that is using Safari on a late Version Mac.
other people that have had the problem have also used Macs but I'm not sure what browser they used. Is there something wrong with my code or are these people just using shit browsers that are not worth me worring about. Is there a better way to redirect the user with some other code.

catDB.Tables.Append tblNew
provokes this error:
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e3c'

Could this be a permissions problem? It's a brand-new hosting account, brand-new directories, etc. The DDL code that created the database ran successfully, but now I can't create a table in that database.

It has been said that When attempting to load an XML file saved as UTF-7 (a transfer encoding format for Unicode), the XML parser in Internet Explorer generates the following error message: Invalid at the top level of the document. The same error also occurs when using the MSXML parser from server-side or client-side script.
I am getting this error when I use MSXML 3.0 as reference in a VB DLL function called by a ASP file.

I am trying to pass parameter to a stored procedure on a SQL Server 2000 DB and one of the columns I think I am having a problem with is a float data type. Right now my append statement looks like this:
cmdpay.Parameters.Append (cmdpay.CreateParameter("@Amount", adDecimal,
adParamInput,15, Request.Form("txtPaymentAmount"))).
When I execute the stored proc, it returns a precision is invalid error, but I cannot find a adFloat parameter sample anywhere - am I missing something here? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I asked our DBA to make the data type for the column a decimal, but NOOOOO he wants it to be a float instead.
