Survey Help
I'm currently developing a website in which i want a have a simple survery. The survey will run for three pages. [survery1.htm,survery2.htm,survery3.htm]
I guess i have to use forms to do this, but don't know how? How do i maintain the user input details in the survery1.htm and carry it forward to the successive pages while getting the survery2.htm ?
In simple terms, How do i pass the user input details from one page to other page and finally forward them to an email address? I would very much appreciate if someone can send me a model or where i can get one.
Survey Software
Just wondering if anyone knows of any good Survey apps available in ASP, most i have seen are .NET. Also, free would would be ideal.
There are lots out there, but ideally i'd liek to see one that allows for things like,
"If this does not Apply, you will be sent directly to question 14", etc.
Survey With Results
I am going to be working on a project that is a web based survey that will submit the data to a database. But the data will also need to be multiplied by a number and displayed back to the user with some text. And was wondering if anyone had any good resources or samples I could check out I really appreciate any response.

In database exist survey results. Specific results from multiple choice - multiple answer survey (checkbox) are in tbl_results table (example excerpt):

table answers has ID numbers of answered answers, delimited. Anybody has solution to use those ID numbers as foreign key against table tbl_answers, in order to make possibility to make query for better statistics .
Staff Survey
i m currently setting up a staff survey, which will be linked from the website of our company. In the past this has been all hard-copy and decisions been made to put it online, and the job was assigned to me.
I've somehow managed to link to HTML form to the database, with the user completing the survey complete with validation to ensure they have not ommited any fields.
how do I prevent a user entering their username with a different employee number? bearing in mind i will have already input all staff username and employee number into the database. So that when the user enters these fields, the database write the survey to that particular record. I think i just need more code for validation, but I'm clueless as to what i require.
Questionnaire (Flowchart) Survey
I have a questionnaire that I want a user to fill out. If you click on the link, you should be able to see the workflow. I was wondering what the best way of doing this was? To have seperate pages? One page?

what is the best way to develop a database for a survey? How should I name the columns in the database? I have an survey to develop and some of the questions have up to 80 answer options + quantity for the options.
For example, I have a list of truck models from different manufacturers (eg: John Deere[304, 444, 544, 624...], NewHolland[LW50, LW110, LW130...]. The person filling out the survey needs to be able to select from none to all of items and this would only be question #1.
That means if the person filling out the survey select JD 304 and NH LW110 I'll have a total of four entries one for each of the trucks and one of quantity for each of the trucks. If I use a column for each possible answer, I'll end up with about 1000 columns what to me wouldn't be a very well developed database. Anyone has done anything similar? Any ideas?
Multiple Page Survey
i'm thinking about making a muti page survey and was looking for some input on the best way to go about it. example
i want 3 questions on the first page, the user answers then hits next the next questions load and so on. what would be the best way of programming this?
Logic For Survey Form
I have created a dynamic form ,different under different conditions. The elements of the page are dynamically created with the required infor . coming from tables. Now, i have to store the values, states of all individual elements of the form, for future processing . The values are the part of a survey. I hav to analyse the values and create a report.
Now , i m getting confused in the way , the values of all dynamic fields to be stored. I m not getting a good way to store the values and later process for survey analysis.

I am in the process of building a Simple Survey, and I am having trouble getting started. I have put together my html form, and now I need to build my "survey.asp" page to communicate with my Access database. I have designed my database to have 3 tables: Department, Contract, Survey.
Basically from each question the Survey Table will be populated. The survey table is in this format [SurvID (prim key), ques1, ques2, ...contractID.]
So if a user on question 1 clicked radio button "1radio1" then the number one should populate "ques1" field etc. Same goes for question 5, if the user chooses "5radioN" then "N" would populate the "ques5" field.
Also on there will be a drop down menu on the top of the page where the employee can choose the contractID. How would I incorporate that as well? Code:

Developing a community website, and want to be able to maintain a database
of members currently online on the site. I can save their ID as they log
onto the site, but dont know how to tell when they leave it??

now i got loginlogout thing going on...but if the user will not logout he will be still logged on for the system...
the only rule i want (on this code that i don't know how to wrote) is how to set timeout of 1 hour...that id the user had not moved or did nothing for 1 hour he automaticly will be offline for the system.

Online Questionnaire Using Asp
Want to create a web page that asks users certain questions and then when clicking the submit button the info get sent via email.
Obviously will create a form and then will have text boxes for each question. Correct me if I am wrong but the aspmail object is limited to a few fields.
ASP Online CSS Editor
Is anybody aware of an ASP-based online CSS editor? I'd like to be able to manage my site's CSS files online. Ideally, I'd like to be able to change the colors and such online, then have ASP write the changes to the styles.css file. I know I could have dynamic asp tags throughout my site that would pull the styles from a database, but I'd like to just write to the text file. I haven't seen anything in aspin or hotscripts, so I was wondering if anybody has seen something out there.

I am having a go at building an online calender and I am using icons to display events on a certain date.
I would like to show 1 icon for events that are in the future (for example blue square) but another icon for events that have passed (example grey square). All I have in the DB is the actual date of the event.

I am looking for some ASP - SQL server 2000 online store application that i can buy for my company. This store is completely internal for the company and will be on our intranet server and will be utilized by the company employees to buy company merchantdize.
Also at this time there will be no credit card processing as the amount of purchase will be deducted from the payrol. I will be needing the shopping cart and product view. Later if we provide the credit card processing, we have already installed PayFlowPro from verisign and do creadit card procesing on our main site.

I plan to setup a website which will give help guides on DIY.
I want to allow people to submit their own guides while allowing them to have a link to thier own site to help promote thier company.
I want to be able to have a directory of all the guides with a nice simple layout.

files in various formats... SWH, WMV, AVI, Quicktime, etc.
I would like to output the files in SWH format since it includes a Flash
interface with player controls, etc. There are limitations on the size of

Anyway, I would like to begin publishing the videos to my website that is

Can anyone give me any points in the best way to handle this or if there are

I realize I could create a table and assign various fields and simply put
the content into the database. This is likely the best approach, but then I
have to deal with an admin page because our end users won't have the ability

I'm planning to construct an experimental mini online dictionary. The core of the dictionary is, of course, the smart 'search' function.
So I'd like to know if it would be better to use asp instead of php for such a search function (and...why!).
UPS Online Tools
Has anyone ever set up code samples for using UPS online tools I need it
for international shipping. I've been trying to setup the tools myself. Some
countries work fine, others produce validation errors. Other errors include
no shipping solutions between origin and destination. When I manually check

User Online
I have a login script and everything, I just have one problem. The thing is, is that I want to check how many users are online. It is very simple to do that, but is there a way to check when their user-session ends, or something? In the database all it is is a simple yes or no under "online" and if they are logged in it goes to "yes" and if they access a page while logged out, there is no way to check if they are online or not.
How should I go about doing this?
And if you give me a code, can you please tell me how it works so I can easily modify it(It's just that it'd take a lot less time with you explaining it, than me figuring it out All I need is a simple wording

I have a forum and I would like to have a ASP-page where the visitors can see who's online and where they are. ( as http://www.sitepointforums.com/online.php?s= ) It's easy to list up the members. But how should I make the same thing to guestes? But the problem is that I would also have guest in the list. For example:

I am making a website for people losing weight to give their slimmed out of clothes to others that need their old size. What I'm trying to do is make a form (which I did get that part) to fill out what type of clothes they have to give or need.
The problem is I'm wanting to make an online database that everyone can view to see what's been submitted into the form. I made a view.asp and another asp file and a mdb file. I read a buncha stuff and finally found a wizard thingy that helped me with all that but it doesn't work.
