Passing Multiple Selected Items To A Forms Page- How?

I have a query on a page that displays the results of a recordset. Each row has a check box that has the table ID associated with the row of data.

I am trying to figure out how do I send every row checked to another page and have that page know the ID's that were checked so the next page can query the table for those ID's and fill out a submission form. I know the form fields I can write so it dynamically names the value based on the script, that part is easy, but trying to figure out how to have the script accept multiple ID's so it can go through each and display the results is not.

Now this is simple if I am just sending one ID to the next page, I can just use a "Post" and append a ?id=xxx to the URL and then do a request.querystring for the ID. Where I am confused is trying to send multiple ID = 's to the next page so it reads more then one ID if more then one was checked on the previous page which 99% of the time it will be.

HERE IS MY MAIN QUESTION:

What should I look up to point me in the right direction to create a classic VBScript/ASP code to parse through the ID's that were checked on the previous page and have the next page query each ID for the data?

I can pretty much figure out how if I know what I am looking to do. I was just looking for some sort of direction that I can pursue to understand how do do this task. What is it I am trying to do? IS there a term or set of terms I need to consider looking up to get examples so I can tweak and write it from there?

Form Change Based Upon Criteria Selected?

Is it possible (and if so, how?) to have an asp form page that based upon a user's selection on a field, would generate a input field b that the user selects?

For example:

User selects "name" in a select statement which would list the possible names to select from or if the user selects "telephone" in the same select statement then it would list the possible telephone numbers to select from.

Or simpler:

If user selects A then show P to select from or
if user selects B then show Z to select from.

Form Data Not Passing

I am using enctype="multipart/form-data" in my form.

Everything has worked for past 2 years and I have not changed the code in the slightest. (1)

I pass some value to another page and this has worked for as long without any tweaks needed. (2)

Now (2) no longer picks up the values submitted by (1) for some unknown reason. If I take away the enctype, the data is passeed through but it's wasted as the form is to upload a file.

Would any change on the server or network be to blame? What do people suggest?

Passing Form Variables Using Frames

Using DW 8 with 3 frames. I want click on whatever in top frame that uses Go To URL which displays results in bottom frame. My problem is that the results in the bottom frame actually runs a recordset (SQL query) that pulls variables from various form elements in the middle frame.

The middle frame never submits the form variables to the server. It only serves as a resource for the getting variables used in the SQL statement. How do I go about addressing variables in the SQL statement ?

Response.form Problem With Passing Values..

Ok, the problem is that when I run this code I need to do error checking, so this is the 2nd page that is accepting information. If I do not get a valid response (ie nothig was checked) I need it to re-ask the question.

Currently the code will re-ask the question, but the 'other' value is not being passed So once I answe the question, it keep looping. I did notice it does this odd loop, where it 'bounces' back and forth, the new answe looks like it gets passed but the ones I did not have to re-ask are not then passed, then they are asked and passed and the other question that was not asked value was notpassed.. Passing Form Variables And Loosing Data

I am trying to pass some data through a form to a mailing script.

The form entry is ...

<input name="width1" type="hidden" value=<% = rsMoreDetails("width1")%>>
and is picked up in the mailing.asp as

width1=Request.Form("width1")
and the mailing script uses...

body_text = body_text & "Option 2 - "& width1 & vbcrlf
The problem is that when the mail is sent and the value is say "14 inches" I seem to loose everything after the first space so it only sends "14"

Am I doing something wrong or this the way it is and if so is there a work around please?

Passing Form Values Via URL Or Server.Transfer

I have a form that is posting to itself. Does the necessary validation on the data.
Once it passes all validation, it is redirected to another page. I need to access the data that was submitted on the first page on the redirected page.

I know you can pass your data along via URL but I am unsure how to access the data once it is in URL form.

I also read that you can use Server.transfer and access your form objects with request.form(var_name).

Passing A Querystring Variable Through A POST Form

I am passing a value to a form through the URL as follows:

<A href="http://www.xxxxxx.com/orderone.asp?text="radius">http://www.xxxxxx.com/orderone.asp?text="radius"

On the orderone.asp page, I am reading the value into a text box as follows:

<input name="Template" type="text" id="Template" size="25" maxlength="255" class="body" value=<% = request.querystring("Text") %>

so far it works fine. It shows the value in the text box on the page. I am trying to post this page with all the form fields to a new page that emails all the variables that are on this page. The form tag looks like

<form action="Orderform3.asp" method="post" name="order">

In orderform3.asp, i am requesting the values for all the form fields as follows before emailing all the fields to myself:

strBody = strBody & Request.Form("Account_Name") 'strbody is the variable that adds all the form fields to the body of the email
strBody = strBody & vbCrLf
strBody = strBody & Request.Form("Contact_Name")
strBody = strBody & vbCrLf
strBody = strBody & Request.Form("Template")

Here is the problem...I am getting the email with the values filled in except for "Template" and I cannot figure out why. Is there something that I am doing wrong? i have to mention that there is no DB behind this site...it is just a static web site with an email script in it.
