Populate Multiple DropDownMenu's Based On Previous Menu
I have a series of tables, within one database, which each hold unique information, all of which relates to one main table.
I would like to have 4 DropDownMenu's populate themselves based upon the choice of the previous menu.
Example.
Menu A contains four names - John, Henry, Larry, Ed.
When user selects Henry from Menu A, Menu B will show the following choices - Bread, Peanuts, Pickles, Chips.
When user selects Chips from Menu B, Menu C will show the following - BBQ, Ranch, Plain.
When user selects Plain from Menu C, Menu D will show the following - 1 oz., 5 oz., 8 oz.
All of those fields relate to individual tables that all contain a relationship to the main table. Is there a particular way in which I can populate multiple tables based upon the preceeding menu?

I am doing a project that uses ASP VBScript on Dreamweaver. I try to display data based on the hyperlink on the previous page, where I click on the hyperlink("ID of the informationfile") and the following page will show the detailed information of this particular file.
However, I can't display the next page even if I add the hyperlink and the required parameter on the records that are shown on the first page. I need to ask how can I display the detailed information based on the hyperlink, or in fact the fileID from the first page ??? Code:

I have dynamcally populated a drop down menu with data from an access
database using ASP. The values seem fine, however when i pass them to
the next page (using form get method) the whitespaces in the values
are ignored.
For example with <option value=jim jones> then only "jim"
gets passed to the next page not "jim jones". I have viewed the source
created on the dynamic page and the values are populated fine, but
passing to the next page seems to be problematic...

Let's say I have a dynamic list/menu, which gets its values from a
database table, for example a list of contact people where the value is
an ID number and the label is the name. However, if the value the user
wants is not in the list I would like to place a hyperlink which
will...
(1) open a small window, with an ASP form to allow the user to add a
new entry
(2) save the entry to the database
(3) add that value to the list/menu in the parent window and make it
the selected option
(4) close the small window and return to the original window.
I can handle the code for 1,2 and 4, but 3 is what I'm not sure about.
I don't like the idea of forcing the user to leave the current screen,
go to some other form, add the entry they need to the lookup table,
then come back; this seems like a logical approach, but just wondering
how to make it work.
This seems like a common enough situation; anyone have any code samples
or suggestions about how to do this?

i have a page which displays a list of events searched for by a particular date. we usually have a lot of events and i don't want the user to have scroll through all of them, especially if they're interested in a particular type of event.
i have created a dynamic drop down menu which consists of all the event types. how can i got about displaying the events returned by the query to a specific event for that date.
so for example, if some one searches for 03/08/2005, they will initially get a list of all events for that day. if they click on "Closed" from the drop down menu, it will display all the "Closed" events for 03/08/2005.

I have a form on one page where someone selects a bunch of options and details about a specific category. Then on the next page they fill out a form with contact information, name, address, email, etc.
Well what I want to know is when they click Submit on that contact form is there a way to have it so it goes through and searches the database for any that match the state and county(which they will select from a )??
So what I basically want right now is for the first form to be filled out, then the second form to be filled out, then when they are submitted it will go through the database and select everyone in there with that state and county, then on the next page display the results of both forms AND the matches in the db(obviously whatever fields I want it to display).
I already have both forms(basic html), I already have the dynamic dropdown for state and county(classic asp), what Im wondering is how do I put that dynamic dropdown in the contact form and then when submitted it will go through and search the db based on what was selected there. Would this be some sort of onClick for the submit button tellin it to search the db based on the dropdown or how would I get started on something like this?
There will be other information on the dropdown like name address email so one problem I was wondering about was my dropdown menu. When you select the state it refreshes the page and then loads the counties, so wouldnt that erase anything that was filled out on the form?
I could make it so they actually type the name of their state and county but that causes problems too because if they mispell either then it wont return any results.

We have an ASP site that hits up an Access database of categories of
products and products. (e.g. Categories = Napkins, Tablecloths;
Products = 20x20 Napkins, 21x21 Napkins, 54x54 Tablecloths, 60x60
Tablecloths)
We currently have select boxes that when you select a category, it
populates the next select box with the proper list of products (i.e. I
select Napkins as a category, I get a listing of the Napkins)
We would like to put a clickable link before each of these select
boxes that would pull up a pop up with links from the records from the
proper table.
(e.g. I click the categories link and a popup with html
anchor tags of Napkins and Tablecloths appear) I click on the Napkins
anchor and it populates the Categories Select box with Categories and
Napkins being selected.

I have a db that users search to return records. However, I want them to see only 10 per page and then, a NEXT 10 link that will display the next 10 results.I have tried using LIMIT , but it only returns the specified number but no links or way for users to view them or the remaining the search results.

I am having a web page where I having a text box to input the weekend date, and based on that user input date, i would like to populate the previous dates, example if user enter 06/24/2006, then page should reload and get the last 6 previous date like 06/18/2006, 06/19/2006...in sperate text boxes.

I have an ASP page which pulls a number of records into a recordset and then displays the first record, by default, in an HTML form.
I'm tryina to make a button (or a link, which ever is easiest?!) which loads the next record from the recordset into the form.
For example, if I had a recordset with 2 records as follows:
Firstname Lastname
Firstname1 Lastname1
Firstname2 Lastname2
...and a form with 2 text boxes containing 'Firstname1' and 'Lastname1' when the page is loaded - I need a button or link to load 'Firstname2' and 'Lastname2' into these boxes.
If possible, I'd like to be able to do this without refreshing the page....but if not it doesn't really matter too much....

How do you do something like the user pressed the "back" button in the browser? Currently, I have a redirection after a pause working

I am doing a check on wether or not all of the inputs were filled in on a form. If not, I want it to basically just go back and not reload the previous page and resend the data and such. Just go back, fill in the field, and re-submit.

I am trying to build a commission calculator for my sales team. Commissions are calculated every month. What is the syntax to pull all records from the previous month?
In other words, at the beginning of December commissions will be paid on November sales so I need to pull all sales recorded in November.
I found this code to pull the current month:
month(now())
so I added a -1 at the end for this
month(now())-1
I haven't tested it yet as I still have many things to do before I can upload to the server to test it. Is that the correct syntax? If not, what is? Also, how can I get the month AND the year?
This will be a default value of the Date field, so I need it in asp, not SQL.
