Posting Data To Credit Card Processor Without Showing Their Page
I've been setting up an online payment system for our site, and it all works fine except for one part. When it submits to the merchant's site, the customer is greeted with a blank page for a few seconds while it verifies the card. Then it redirects to our site.
Is there any way to do a form POST to another site without actually making the browser go to that page?
I have a form page with a drop down menu of article types that can be submitted. On my processor page where I enter the article, I want to be able to send an email to the person who is responsible for those article types, letting them know a new article has been submitted. I have a table set up in my access database, with an article type and email associated with that which I would like to send an email to.
On my processor page, i would like a SQL statement something to the effect of:
SELECT * FROM table_artemail WHERE art_type = request.form(art_type)
but i can not seem to get it to work.
Also, when I get that working, i plan on using cdonts to send the email. can I just create a variable called "mailto" and have a statement such as: Code:
I'm working on a new project that involves purchasing stuff online. But I don't really know where to start. I know you need to process the cards through a gateway, and that's about it.
What I want is a secure page where the customer enters their credit card info and hits submit. I don't want to process it manually, I want it all to be automatic. I'm not asking for help coding this, because I understand its very complicated, and I don't trust that I will be able to make it secure if I were to do it myself.
What I'm asking is, can anyone recommend a good ASP script for processing credit cards? (all cards will be from the UK, so visa, mastercard, maestro, switch, solo etc...).
I don't want a shopping portal, just the credit card processing bit is what I'm after (anything under $100 would be ideal)! And also, what is a good gateway to use in the UK? And any other info/tips you can give me would be great too!
I am trying to create a simple, secure credit card payment system using either public/private key encrytpion.
I know public key encryption is probably more secure, but it is also slower from what I have been reading. What I am looking for is some examples of public or private key encryption.
My client wants to have credit card information fields on his forms for his website visitors to be able to buy his wervices by credit card. The credit card info-Brand, number and expiry date will be sent to the server and stored in the database as the .asp page calls itself on Submit.
How secure is this?I've never had to worry about it before but is form information encrypted before being sent to the server? Are there any legal obligations for handling peoples credit card information? The actual credit card payments will be handled manually at the clients company.
I have a website for our online store. Until now we have received payment through email, which we then run in our local store's Credit Card machine.
We want to move up from there. I have signed up for Paypal and that is easy.
We want to also be able to accept the CC info in our own website securely. We are not looking to actually run the Credit Card, we just want to get the information from the user and pass it on to ourselves in a secure manner, so that we can run the information locally on our Credit Card machine.
So, I guess, my questionj is not really about credit card's at all. Rather I am asking, how can I get a form's data sent to my computer 100% (or close to that) securely.
Either in the US or EU, when a customer makes a credit card purchase online, for how long after can the vendor legally store the encrypted credit card number in its database?
I know how to build forms with ASP and process user input. Now i want to take credit card payments via a form. i will then download the details and process them via our credit card machine.
do i just create a regular ASP form and use a certificate on the server to encrypt the data ? ie https://server/getpaymentform.asp
there is nothing special about the form is there? it is just the same as the form i have been using for user input.
I need to add code to a page that will accept credit card info and process it. The company that will do the processing is authorizenet.com. Problem: I have talked to these people and they have not been clear on how to do this. Additionally, I received from them a 75-page document that gives no examples.
I was under the impression that it should be something easily accomplished; i.e. a few lines of code in my html. Does anyone out there have an example of how to do this?
I'm trying to get some recommendations on credit card authorisation suppliers such as paypal, worldpay or 2checkout.
Seems like a bit of a mine field so wondering if anyone has any view, positive or negative on these (or other) suppliers.
I notice paypal is free but chargers about 3% or the goods sold which isn't bad for a small startup. I think Worldpay is about 2% but charges a monthly fee.
Is it easy to get this up and running on a site? do you connect to theirs to do the payment or just fire secured data to them to process? is one a better deal, safer and easier to implement than another?
I've created a form that posts data to a script and the script checks the values. If the values are invalid, I want to be able to "post" the data back to the original page for them to be picked up. Is this possible?
I can't use JavaScript for client-side validation as the data to be compared against is in a database. I don't want to use session variables as they are server intensive and can expire. And I can't send the variables through the URL as some of the fields are textareas and could hold long values...
I would like to show my data in a ASP table. I do not want a sort of record selector on that page. So I did the following: Please be as kind and look the attachment
I would like to see a table header like "tradeid, clearingnumber" etc - and underneath the list of records.
can someone tell me how to get this because in the moment I only see one record always it's not continuing writing the list.
I'm working on a shopping cart that uses PayPal when the user submits their information 3 things need to happen on the same page:
1. User information gets saved in a database 2. An e-mail is sent out 3. Variables are transferred via a "POST" method to the PayPal API
I've successfully made it through the first 2 but the 3rd one is killing me. How do I do this? The only way I can think to do this is with the response.redirect but it can't be a GET it needs be a POST. Any thoughts?
welll I'm using ASP 2.0 =) I'm trying to do the automated form posting and submition. What I got is Excel file with the data that I need to manually enter to the form... What should I use to maximumally automate it =)
I am pulling in data from a sql table. For some reason, when I include the following line:
<tr><td><b><%if rs("Street_dir")<> "" then response.write rs("Street_dir") & " " end if%> <%=rs("Street_num")%> <%=rs("Street_name")%> <%=rs("Street_suf fix")%></b></td></tr>
then the following line does not display:
<tr><td><%=rs("remarks")%></td></tr>
The REMARKS data is blank. But, if I remove the upper address line, then the REMARKS appears. The address is 1111 Main so that does not seem to be the issue. The address information is VARCHAR fields, 255 characters.
This works fine on another server where my files used to be, but I just moved to a new server.
I have a developed asp page where user inputs the data and it will be submitted to another page. I want the data submitted to two pages of different application. for example the code:
An insert page and an update page will not let checkbox data be posted to the database. I am using Dreamweaver for all code with no tweaking on my part. If i remove all checkboxes from page i can post from both pages.
I've made sure that there is no data type mismatch. I do have another DB table which i can post to without incident. It seems i have exhausted my ability to solve this one.
Does anyone know how to post form data to a popup window either by using ASP or JavaScript? I have a form full of inputs and I want to open a popup window where the processing can take place.
I'm trying to setup an ASP page to POST an image across to another page- essentially simulating what a browser does when you use <input type=file> in a HTML form.
I'm able to correctly setup the headers etc and do the POST, but I'm unable to include the binary data of the image.
The only way i've been able to do it is if I base64 encode the image. I'm using MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP to do the POST, and I can't seem to do the .send with a form body that includes the binary data of the image. Code:
I have an ASP page in a table style (heading and data). At the beginn of each month (actually only the first day) there is no data in my database and so-with nothing to show up on the ASP page. If I would like to open the ASP page over the net IE is telling me that it cannot find my page. Is it possible that, even if there are no records to show, at least the heading is shown on the Internet?
I am new to ASP and tried to do an ASP page up using FrontPage and Access. I have encountered a problem that even when I select all records in the database, the records are not showing in the ASP page as they shld be. Code:
I have a simple ASP form in which I am reading and showing the data from SQL Server database. This database has a nVarchar field, which stores some data in Chinese language. When reading and printing the data using a SELECT query it shows ??? (Question Marks) instead of the Chinese data. I have checked using Query Analyzer that the data is correctly stored in Chinese only.
I have looked up for this problem and it looks like many have faced the same before. But the only solution which seems to be provided for this is using the FORMS 2.0 controls, because VB converts the Unicode to ASCII and that corrupts the data. But is there any other solution to this?
I am using Dreamweaver to write the ASP pages. Dreamweaver is capable of showing the Unicode data, but can’t do much if it gets corrupted data from the VB itself.
So Please any help will be highly appreciated.
That’s the sample code which I am using if it helps: .....
is there a way in ASP to automatically submit a form and its values when a page loads ?
if not is there any way round this scenario. i want to have a drop down list of options depending on which is selected will depend on where the form is submitted to.
