Show Recordset Based On Current Date
I want to call a recordset based on whether the 'expiration_start' date and 'expiration_end' date are within the current date.
I've tried a few things but can't get it to work?
Here's my non-working SQL statement:

I'm simply using 'date' to call the current date. I'm not sure if that's correct but it seems to work ok when I use it in an "if" statement like this example:

What I want to do is have a recordset with all records in and display a list by title with a tick box next to them, then goto a new page which the recordset is all the records that the user selected on the previous page.

I am trying to write an ASP SQL for a date greater than today:
Here is my SQL Statement:
Select * from table ORDER By date ASC
date is the field that stores the date. I want to retrieve all records with a date treater than today.I have tried a number of things but nothing seems to work. By the way I am using SQL server and not Access.
Get Today's Date And Compare To Txt Field
I have an asp page that uses a calendar.js (pop-up) file to add an
exact date format in the text field (txtDDate). My problem is I need
some javascript that sets an alert that does not allow them to select
today.
example:

But dtToday seems to be blank....How can I get dtToday value? Also,
when I set the dtToday value outside javascript and used a
Response.Write to see what format Date() came up with - it gave me
1/24/2005 - but the calendar pop-up gives me 01/24/2005....could this
also be the issue?
10 Days From Today Date Comparision
How would I compare a the month year and day fields entered in a form to make sure the date entered is at least 10 days from current date.
how is 10 days added numerical, I am clueless at this point.
Script For Counting Hits Today
I need to create a script that will count the hits (using a txt file) for today.So, it should record each hit until 12 midnight, then reset back to zero.The page will be included on a include that appears at the top of every page.so don't have to worry of it not getting hit.My problem is reseting it at 12...I have no idea how to do it.

I've got an access database with a field containing dates (each saturday of the year), set up as a date field. In my code i need to write the SQL to select all records that have a date after todays date.
I've got the rest of the code but it's the where clause i'm stuck on. Something like, WHERE mydatefield is after (could i use >?) currentdate. Not really sure how ot go about doing this... I'm using ASP, is there a way the SQL can get the current date, or would i need to generate it and store as a variable first? Also, don't know what type of quotes i would need to use " or ' or + etc.
Can't Display Today's Date Records With = Now()
I'm trying to display only those records from the events table with today's date in the event_date field. I thought it would be easy to do with
"SELECT * FROM events where event_date = now() order by event_date asc"
But that returns nothing at all. why it won't work?

I'm trying to get all records from my SQL Server Database with
"DeadlineDate" = today (not today - 24 hours).
All records has a field called "DeadlineDate", and the date is stored in
this field like this: 13.08.2005 07:00:00
I dont care about the hours (Ex: 07:00:00), just the date (ex: 13.08.2005).
This is the SQL I have made, it gets all the record with the date = today -
24 hours... but that is not what I want.

Recordset Controlled By Another Recordset Within A Loop
I have created a forum, in which I have 3 tables:
1: Table_Forum
2: Threads
3: Replies
I have it at the moment that on the main default.asp there is a recordset that will
display all records within that table, these are a list of forums that will be available.
I have a table that will show the forum name, and the description. This table is then looped using Do while not, now what i need to do is show how many records in the Treads table are related to each forum using asp. Code:

it appears that my ISP is blocking port 1433 which means i can no longer connect to my sql db on the web. had been using an access project or another program called WinSQL. so i'm forced to go with a web-based solution and i don't really have time to build one from scratch. the host this site is on still hasn't installed the .net framework so i have to go with a classic asp solution.

Xml Based Mp3 Player
i found a flash based mp3 player for my myspace that pulls the playlist from an xml file. my question is this... i want to be able to change the playlist (add, delete songs, change play order, etc...) without having to change the xml. here's my idea and i'm not sure how exactly to do all of it, but let me know if there is an easier way.if i create a db that stores the information i need (filename, song title, and track number) i can create an html form that will allow me to change the track number (i know how to delete and add songs). my question is how to i update the xml file at the same time it updates the db. in other words, how to i send the data in the db to an xml file.

Based On Temperature
I have dynamic weather on my site based on the users' zipcodes, but the feed takes much too long to load; therefore I would like to see if it is possible to query a site for a temperature only based on zip, and then use an "if...then" to display 5-6 different gif weather images. I have been mostly frequenting the PHP forums but now my job makes it necessary to get my hands dirty with ASP.
I am trying to find a Forum Software (Open Source or Commercial, doesn't matter) that has all the bells and the whistles. The following are some of the major requirements:Integration with existing Site and DB (including migration of data from current forum)
Ability to apply the look and feel of the site (if various parts of the Forum can be broken down to components/panes/boxes/windows that can be included in other site pages as well as customisable through CSS)

Day-based Web Loader
I am working on a script for a client that will switch a web element every Monday at 0:00:00 time. I have the entire website finished, however I now need to add a VBScript that will rotate between elements ONCE on every Monday.
If I am being too vague, here is an example:

I now want to rotate through puzzle1.jpg, puzzle2.jpg, puzzle3.jpg up to 12, then start again (a loop), but only make this change once each week on Monday mornings. So, this week it would be puzzle1, then starting Monday, it would be puzzle 2, etc.
I hope I am being clear enough, if I could provide further code, I would, but I am unsure as to how to start.

I currently have a web-based email for my site for users. Is there any way that I can make this so that it can be accesable from Outlook Express? It would have to call the database for the emails.I would need it written in ASP.It also needs to be free!

it's my understanding that i need to put the name of the date field in
[] in order to prevent it from confusing it with functions etc...
however my problem is this

tried [date]='12/*/2004' and [date]='::12/*/2004::' and many other
variants that i have read about on various web sites, but it never seems
to work once again the answer is probably not as complicated as i
