Run Query After Closed Window.

I am trying to run a query after the browser window is closed. I need it to delete a value from the database when window is closed.

If it deletes it minutes after its closed that is fine as well. I just need some way to automatically delete information from the table when the user leaves the site.

ASP Running When Browser Is Closed

Recently, I've been encountering some problems with one of my VB Scripts.

Very often, the results that is generated from running the script is truncated. (The results are written into a text file on the server and is picked up by another program for printing).

I've looked through the code at least a hundred times but do not seem to know where the problem lies.

After questioning the users more closely, I discovered that they switched the computer off while the script is still running (it tends to take about an hour or so due to intensive searches on very big sized databases).

My question is : will the script still run to completion in this case? I'm at my wits end trying to figure out what went wrong.

Error 3704 Object Is Closed

I am getting the error 3704 "Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.Operation is not allowed when the object is closed." The problem is when no record is returned from the stored procedure. If there is a record, I do not get this error. Here is the portion of the code giving me problems.

rs.open strSql, strConnect
if rs.eof = true or rs.bof = true then
bEof = true
end if

The line in red is what gives me the error. If I take out that section, I do not receive an error. Any suggestions? I can easily get around this by putting in an on error resume next, but I'm trying to get this to work without errors first.

If you press on the search button record list is build according to what is filled in the selection fields. You can select a record and then a detailed window is shown or in another occasion a popup window is shown.

The request is now if the opened window or popup window is closed, then the opener window has to be opened with the same content (content selection fields + record list) as it was before the window or popup is opened.

Now I thought that I have read that every window which is opened gets an ID and that it is possible to call up that window by the ID from the cache again. Is that right? And if so? Or has somebody a better idea. Code:

Need To Convert This Sql Query For Access To Identical Sql Query For Sql 2005..

My code retrieves a username and a password from a form. Then this information is compared to some usernames and passwords that are stored in a database. The important thing here is that the comparison must be case sensitive meaning that "passWord" is not the same thing as "password"

I have this code, working fine in access 2003

SQL = "SELECT * FROM users WHERE StrComp(username_column,'" & entered_username_in_form & "',0) = 0 AND StrComp(password_column,'" & entered_password_in_form & "',0) = 0"

but get the following error when I run it against my sql 2005 database.

[Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]'StrComp' is not a recognized built-in function name.

I don't know the corresponding t-sql for the query.
