Setting Print Areas
I'm looking for a way to print a page from the browser using asp. The page generates a table with paging from an access db. I would like to be able to set up the print area so it doesn't break up the records when printed.
i.e:

I have a asp page the posts to itself, then redirects to
another page, passing all the form information in the url.
when I redisplay the form information on the next page,
the text area info from the first page is being cutoff.
It only gets the data up to the first carriage return.
eveything else is cut off

I have 3 Text Area inputs in a form and getting all the values through request.Querystring.the problem is when I submit the form, there is no action happening i.e the form is not getting submitted.But if I have 1 Text area I am able to submit the form. Is there any way I can update the information using more than 1 Text Area.

I'm trying to store the results of a rather large form into an access database. The problem I'm running into is it seems that my memo slot is only holding one line of text. I.e. if the user filling out the form presses enter to move to the next line in the textarea field on the form, the asp file that saves data to the database only grabs up to that first enter. how to overcome this error or know of a faq I can read that might teach me how?

I hav an online learning system with a questionaire that emails relative people with the results and also outputs results at end. the input is into textareas and it is being passed via
response.write<input type="hidden">
i.e all data is passed through each page to the last page. At the end only the last pages data is correct, all previous pages have only the first word.
i.e computers annoy me -on page 1
would be:
computers -by the time it gets to page 4 . Is their a restriction in VBScript for passing data more then once.

If I m using a simple code like this;

While using this code "Images" is an array..(a collection of imagesname from the table "Product" whose status is 1). Now I have to use first 4 images at a time among these collection of Images in the different specific locations in a page in the same time.

I can run these commands successfully from the command-prompt on the server
but from an ASP page, I get nothing not even an error. The Text output for
NET PRINT is a blank text file.
I feel something is different on the permissions side because this
code/approach use to work fine.

I am trying just to run a simple asp commands in the
Internet Explorer. ( I have windows XP)
When I run this asp lines on ASP Matrix web server it is
ok.
But, when I run this on IIS it acts like the asp engine
is not working.
I created the virtual directory and started the default
server web page but still not working.
Please let me know what else I have to do to run asp
program at IIS?

I am creating an edit facility for an online showroom which I want to output the
contents of a database record into a form so it can be edited and updated by the user.
Two of the form fields are text boxes of type="file". When I try to output the value of
these filenames to the text boxes they don't appear.
I have tried outputting these in a normal text box and they output fine so it is obviously
a restriction when outputing to file type text boxes.
here is the code I am using:

I am currently having problem with parsing .asp files when I tried to type http://localhost/iisstart.asp file with my new IIS local server.f I tried to open .html with my localhost server.. it is working properly, example: http://www.localhost/postinfo.html
I suspect it could be because of my firewall or the way I setup my IIS local webserver was inappropriate.

I have ASP statements stored in SQL and want to run them on an ASP page. I am printing the data onto the page using ASP, but the ASP code that comes from SQL just appears as actual text. For example, it appears as:
<a href="<%request.redirect("http://www.yahoo.com")%>">Yahoo</a> Rocks
instead of just the link: Yahoo Rocks
Any idea of how to run the ASP scripts from SQL, yet still print out the text around it plainly?

I am developing an Intranet application for a business. I would like to be
able to print out certain bits of information just as regular applications
do. I realize that this is a little more difficult, and after doing
research it seems that the best way to print is to use JavaScript's
"window.print();" command.
The only problem I have with this is that
#1 - it prints the address and date at the bottom of the page
#2 - it prints the page numbers at the top of the page.
Is there any way around this (without having to alter IE's configuration)?
Or perhaps do I need to approach printing in another way? Perhaps VBScript?

i seem to have a problem printing my timesheet to make it fit into a a4 paper. is there a way to have it to print using ASP but force it to print in a4 landscape.I have tried using my printer settings and force it to landscape,but the whole table and font comes out really big and makes it continue to print to another page.
I have also tried to use the printer settings to print into A4 or even print to 60% of the size, but still cannot. Even though the data is not really long it goes to another page.

im trying to set up an array of database records. i want to be able to display all information but only display the request numbers once for each number...while displaying all seq number's associated with each request number. ex:

I am making a small ASP script to track users from an email marketing campaign. Basically the email is sent to subscribers, then when they click on an offer they are sent to a third party provider. Right now we can track how many users open the email, and how many visit the site, but we would like to track conversions.
The third party will only provide stats via referer. Is there an easy way in ASP to set a referer to a custom url during the redirection?
