Search N Display Data
There is a search engine in my system where i have to key in the student's number. n search for the student's complete information from the database.
n then i have to display the student's info at the same form where i did the search. how to do this using asp n dreamweaver MX.
Search Two Tables And Display Results
I have two tables like this:
TapeRecords
TapeID - Integer Primary key
Title - Text
TapeDetails
RecordId (Primary Key)
TapeId (related to the taperecords table)
ProgramDetails (Text)
The tape details table has a record of the programs that are stored on each
tape and each tape we have about 20 programs.
What i want my users it to allow them to search by programdetails and
display the list of tapes that match that search. I am not able to built a
query to search and display at the same time.
Images TIFF
I need to show an image .TIFF in a .aspx web
page. The web site is developer on Visual Studio 2005. The image control no
support this image format, that control i can use to show this format?

I have a document management application written in classic ASP
(VBScript) on my company intranet which works fine by storing and
displaying scanned images as .tif files.
What I wish to do now to further enhance the application is to display/
embed the DB record ID as text into the image itself.
I am aware of a a way of doing this to jpeg images using ASP.NET but
this does not work with tif files and classic ASP.
Does anyone know of a component which can achieve this or of a way I
can achieve the results with classic ASP.
Server Side Tiff Management
I hit a problem about the Tiff management. I have several Tiff files located at the server and I have to split and merge some of the files. Is there are any plug-in for server side Tiff management? I found a plug-in "Tiff Merger" but it is not working probably. Is there are any alternative for me? In addition, is there any plug-in for merge and split action which is supporting drag and drop?

Search Within Search Results
I am trying to create a parametric search within a table (in the column headings). My first page (search.asp) allows you to choose parameters from a dropdown box, such as package and volts. You click "search" and it reads the Access dbase to yield the results.
The results page (results.asp) displays the information based on the parameters. Under the package column heading, I have the same drop down box, and I am able to once again choose the package I want and the table will refresh. Code:

I am in the middle of writing a system with 8 different entry form screens, at the end of the 8 forms (10 entry fields on each form, with pull down scores of 0 to 10) I want to do the following :
total up the results for each form/screen
sort the results
display the top 3, with additional text, and then add to the database
Now, I've got the 8 entry screens working fine, with verification, so I have the 80 available numbers. I have added these up to create 8 totals. Where I'm stuck now is the best way to sort these and display the results I require. I could do it with a messy, nested "if one > two then if one > three" etc etc approach, but wondered if anyone had a less stressful method to consider?

If Itry another file with an .asp extension then the browser shows the horrible page not found error.

Intranet tech support system using ASP/VBScript running on W2000 Server,
IIS, and using SQL Server 2000. I need to add a search engine. The problem
with using a regular SQL query is that if you put a phrase, say "red car" in
the text box, to hit submit, my SQL qurey would only look for that phrase,
and would leave out other items where the words red and car appeared
separately. I guess what I am saying is that I would like something like
Google or other search engines, which would find results which seem to fit
the criteria typed into the box, and rank them and highlight key words.
My research so far has shown me that SQL Server has something called
Full-Text searching, and I have tried to read up on that in BOL, but not
really seeing how I can apply it. I wonder if there's already some tutorials
or sample code out there. I have done some looking on the Web, but still
haven't found much.
