Its been ages since ive used vbscript & asp, and im now needing something similar to what ive done in .Net for a legacy app. I need a method that will loop through all controls on a form and if their name has a certain prefix, then their values are added to a string that represents the form values entered.
Anyone point me to a similar example using only vbscript ?
i know PHP not ASP, but my client's host supports ASP not PHP. So I need a quick reference to form handling. Basically I need ASP form handler that will present the form info to the viewer and email the form information to the client after the form is submitted.
If you have any links or the basic code (you could show me how to process one form filed and email the form field info) I would greatly appeciate it.
I'm using javascript to validate the form fields so I dfo not need ASP form validation.
I have made the Error Handler in all of my asp pages, and I also includes some codes to automatically send email to me specifying the error occurred, in which page it occurred. However, I am trying to include the line number, but no luck... anyone know the code to get the error line number..?

I've Googling the web for the past two hours trying to find some code that will explain the following:
I have a Form with 250+ fields. I need to loop through all form fields and store the values into a VBScript 2-dimensional array (name of field, value of field). Once I have this 2-d array, I need to loop through it to create my SQL insert string, which will hook up to my MS Access 2000 .mdb file.
I totally understand the process, but I'm having a hard time with the syntax. Currently, I only have 60 fields, and I'm doing this type of thing manually. The thing is the form now needs to accomodate 250+ fields and there's no way I'm continuing to do this manually. Heck no!
Can someone please help wither with syntax or links to possible examples? I've been to devguru.com, asp101.com, aspfree.com, you name it, and I simply can't find an appropriate example.

It's a simple validation page and was working fine until i made some changes to the next page.
A regular form that calls a javascript function, but suddenly i javascript function does not execute anymore. i tried calling other functions but none of them works, but when i treid onSubmit("javascript:alert('some text')") it works fine.

I have a form that is dynamically generated since it is populated with values retrieved from a database. The form can of course also be submitted, which is where I run into some problems.
Since I never know in advance what the length of the form (or for that matter what the different elements' names and values) will be I don't know how to write the code in "receive.asp" to retrieve all values from the form correctly without excess use of "request.....".
I shouldn't have to write requests for every single potential element name that is stored in the DB. Please note that the form can sometimes also contain radio buttons and check boxes, even though they are not present in this short example Code:

I have tried the link button but it gives an error saying Compiler Error Message: BC30456: 'VBScript' is not a member of 'ASP.sr_aspx'.
And the hyperlink control doesn't seem to have an option for the onclick. The code is located in the .aspx not in the .vb.
