Writing Out Array Values
I have an array which has days of the month stored in it. For example at one
time it might have the values
1,2,3,6,7,8,9
at another time it might have the value
4,5,12,14,19,25
These are days of the month that have been selected and read into an array.
What i would like to do is to write them out and put a "X" where the days

I am trying to write an array of random numbers to a database. The array part is working fine, but when I go to update the dataabse, it inserts the last value of the array into all the fields in the database .....

I'm a newb - so if this is a stupid question, my apologies.
I have a simple form that users fill out and then that info is written to a database. What I'd like to do is perform a calcution on a number and then write those numbers to other records in the database.
So for instance, if someone enters 12 in one field1, it would multiply that by 3 and that would be saved as field2, then mulitply it by 45 and that would be field3, then add field2 and field3 and save that as field4.
I was thiking of passing the form variables to a second page instead of writing them to the database, then using variables in the second page to perform the calculations and then have the second page write all the info to the database, but I thought there had to be a better solution.

i have my database in MS Access. a table name products contains fields:

some ready-made code that will loop through the values in an array and sort them in ascending or descending order? I first retrieve the values stored in a session variable (where I have stored an array). Then I assign the session variable to a local array called "myarray".

I have 24 checkboxes all with the same naming convention, each box has a
value ranging from 1 to 23, what I need to do is fill in the gaps with a
0 value where the user doesn't select a value.
So lets say that the user selects:

I know that cookies can store an array of values, which can be accessed like this:
tempid = Request("cookiename")(i)
Is it possible to use session variables in the same way? Store a array of values in the same session variable and access them on another page by indexing?
I've looked around alot and I've not found anything suggesting that this is possible.
Right now I'm using a single set of cookies to store info on a series of purchaces of the same type of item. I'm hoping to use session variables to replace the cookies.
Does anyone know for certain if this is not possible?

I dump the entire recordset into an array:

aEmp = rs.GetRows()
Contents of the array are in this order:
EmpID,EmpName,Indent,Sub_ID,Lft,Rgt,MgrID, LastName
This query sort on the basis of Lft and Rgt columns.
The name of the array is: aEmp.
My question here is how can I get only the LastName from the aEmp array into another array so that I can sort the names alphabetically and then display the employees in the alphabetical order.
Or is there is another way I could this by using the same array while keeping the lft and rgt sort of the query? If I sort based at the SQL query level, I can see the names sorted by the lft, rgt and lastname, but since the lastname is at the end of the sort list - it does not appear alphabetically.

In working with arrays, I have found that I am unable to dimension and array
with a variable that has an integer value but I can redimension one this
way. I haven't see any information that tells me if this is a requirement,
although it appears to be because I get an error if I try it.
Ex.

Ok, for my company, we have two current webpages, one for general company info and one specific to a product that we market. On the 2nd page, there is a form that allows users to request a consultation from the company. When it is sent, the information is stored in an Access DB for tracking purposes.
Now, I have been requested to put this same form on the general company website. All works fine, but I can't save to the db that is stroing the info once it is submitted. Boith sites are hosted by the smae company, but they do not have (as far as I know), a shared repository for files where I could put the db.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get around this issue? What I want to do is to have the form on both sites and have the submitted data saved into the one database.

I have to perform a database query and write the results to an XML
file.
I also need to form this XML file with a DTD file.
I'd like to hear some opinions on the best way to do this.
I figured out how to write out just raw XML using adPersistXML. But
that doesn't really help as the XML needs to conform to the DTD.
I also found a way to write out the XML file line by line
using .createNode and .appendChild...but that would take forever as
the database query returns 72 columns.

I have an asp page that queries a database and displays a report. There is a
button on this page that I would like to dump the report into Excel. The
code behind the button:
var xl = window.open("/reportexport.asp", "_blank");
and a new window is displayed with excel. Now the problem is how do I get
the report html into this new window?
xl.document.write(window.document.body.innerHTML); is obviously not the way
since it doesn't work.
reportexport.asp contains only two lines:

Response.AddHeader "Content-Disposition", "filename=report.xls;"

I've been having problem writing a cookie. Everything goes ok but when I
supply the .Path property to "/" It just write the cookie when there is no
cookie present, but when I try to update the cookie (or overwrite the cookie)
it doesnt change it.My requirement to supply the path to "/" because ASP.NET reads it. If I write the cookie without supplying the path, the ASP.NET pages are unable to
read the cookie.
