Here is one entry from that file:

In an ASP application, I'm creating a cookie that stores a username
from pageA.asp
I then try to read the cookie from pageB.asp, which is inside a frame
of pageC.asp.
The problem is I can't read it from pageB.asp. Can anyone please help?
NOTE: If I make pageB.asp as a standalone page without being called
from the frame in pageC.asp, THEN I can read the cookie. But this is
not what I want.
If this wasn't clear please do let me know.

I'm using the ASPEmail component to send HTML email newsletters:
Mail.Host = "mail.myserver.co.uk"
Mail.From = strFrom
Mail.FromName = strFromName
Mail.AddAddress strTo, strName_In
Mail.Subject = strSubject
Mail.Body = strMessage
Mail.AltBody = "PLAIN TEXT VERSION"
Mail.isHTML = True
Mail.SendToQueue
The emails are coming through fine, though in Outlook the option to 'View as Plain Text' is greyed-out. This should let the user see the plain text version as defined in the code above, but it is inactive.

I want to call a recordset so you can edit the details and then obviously pass the parameters onwards into the db. However, the user guide just says this:
To process other fields in the form, use the Form collection of the upload object the same way you would use the Form collection of the Request object. For example, if your form had a text element named UserName, your processing code would include: Code:
I have code that loops through a directory reading files..

I have a web form page that passes values to an asp page, in which an email is sent to the customer with those values. The email functionality works fine. But I also want to display these values on a separate "thank you" web page after that.
What is the asp code to display those values into the "thank you" web page? Does this involve adding code to the asp page and the "thank you" html page?

View Replies View RelatedI have an asp application in which, a page generates reports depending upon the id passed to it. For eg. printpage.asp?id=52 . Now I have a Print button on this page on clicking of which the contents of the page should be read and passed to the activex dll which I have prepared for printing the page.( I had to do this because the printer is installed on the server where the application resides and it should print on the server printer).
Now my question is how to read the asp file (say printpage.asp?id=52) contents in such a way that the fonts and formatting should remain the same, as that content will be printed on the server printer using Active X dll.

I'm looking to display a 'phonebook' which will read the columns in a .csv or .txt file and display them in a sortable table by column. Here is what I have an excel file which has nearly 550 first, and last names, extensions, phone numbers, and office locations which I'd like to display on our companies intranet.
I'm looking for a way to show the table in a window with column headings that are clickable to sort by first, last and office name in an alphabetical fashion. Any direction to tutorials, free stuff or development here.
I need to be able to read a tab delimited text file with an asp page so that I can stuff the fields into a sql table.I really don't know how you can do that, I checked the books I have and have been running around the internet trying to find the answer when I found this site.I cannot use a bulk insert statement because I don't have that level of access to the sql server. and I was assured that "BCP is indeed a command-line only utility and cannot be launched from ASP. You could parse the text file with ASP and generate INSERT statements that you then execute against the database. Routines for parsing tab-delimited files can be had by searching for them on google quite easily." by the system administrator

Try as I might, I can't get binary to work (Word b0rks trying to open the resulting file). When I create a simple RTF in Wordpad and then view its source, Wordpad seems to be embedding the image as hex. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I could read an image file off the disk in hex format for writing into my RTF?
