Accessing List Box On Same Page Before Submitting

My form contains a drop down list of univ. campuses and depending
upon the campus user is selecting, I am selecting the courses offered
in that campus from database (MS Acccess) and showing those in a
different drop down list below.

Is there any way that I can access that campus-list value before
submitting it to database?

Also, please give me solutions in VBScript and no javascript. That's my
Prof.s restriction. One of my friend told, there is no way this can be
done. But I am sure there must be some solution. Microsoft is not that less
creative.

These account names will be retrieved from an SQL database. Below is the code which sets up the first list and the button. Code:

Stay On The Submitting Page

Maybee a little bit of topic, but is it possible to stay on the
submitting page once you've clicked submit.

This is to get processing done on page B when you submit on page A,
and the page should not change. Normally I use a response.redirect to
the submitting page, but that can't be done in one case.

Re-Submitting Data To Page

I am developing a page that when it loads up, it will display certain information from an SQL statement using preset values. However when the user is using the page they can then use drop down menus, to choose different year, suppliers etc, the page then needs to reload showing this new information.

I think it is possible to do this using the response.redirect, and direct it back to itself, with all the new variables. However some information will stay the same and I just wondered if it was possible to only reload the information that was required to save on server time running sql statements taht need not run.

Problem Submitting Form To Its' Same Page?

I'm trying to submit a form to the same page. Eg. (page name = test.asp)

<form action="test.asp" method="post" name="testform">
<input type="text" name="testval1">
<input type="submit" value="Go">
</form>

At the very top of the page I try to get the value by saying:

newtest = Request.Form("testval1")

I got the example from here

The trouble is, my page instantly throws an error. I think it's because when I first load the page up, it's obviously not coming from a form submit! Can anyone shed any light on a way around this?

Problem With Creating A Review Before Submitting Page

I’ve created an application with 3 pages[forms] that have information that must be entered. This application has a session variable that is passed from page to page to ensure that the information that is put in the tables in the Sql Server database is linked together. It also sends an email after the last page is submitted.

My problem is that I am trying to create a page that will show the user what they have entered and allow them to go back and make changes if necessary, before they go to the next page. [A verification page I guess you would say]

I have created the 1st verification page which shows the info [from the first form] the way I want it to and it allows them to go back and make changes, [while I’m testing locally, that is]. When I go live, it skips over the 1st verification page and goes straight to the next form page. It does process all the code that is in the verification page and adds the info to the database but it will not show the verification page! When I do get it to show the verification page, it does not process the code behind the page that adds to the database. Code:

How Can U Connect To 1 Of Several Dbs Based On Selection User Makes When Accessing Main Page

We have a web site IIS 5 (on Win2000k) with Oracle 9i backend (Sun unix).

There is 1 user ID to oracle(APT_W3) that is used by all users (50).

We have a global.asa file that has one APP Start connection string using OLE
DB:
Application("dbConnString")="Provider=MSDAORA.1;Password='SDERSD';User
ID=APT_W3;Data Source=CCEWSDD1_new;Locale Identifier=1033;OLE DB services=-1"

The first page that a user sees asks that they select the area they want to
see (western, northern, etc) from a dropdown menu. Once they select it and
hit save they can go to other pages, session varibles indicating what area
they selected are then passed to pages. Currently all areas are in one
database.

What we want to do is have areas in separate dbs, a northern one, a western
one.etc. Each will have separate user ids (APT_W2N, APT_W3W,etc).

We want the users to have the web page presented to them where they select an
area. Based on the area they select, the appropriate conneciton string will
be used (the one in the global asa). Code:

Submitting More Than One Form

I don't know if this is possible or if it even makes sense, but this is what I want to do. I have a page with a form to fill in a timesheet for a user. Depending on how many users did a "job", a form will appear on the page for each user. So basically, you could have 3 forms, all with the same names etc.

and the only thing distinguishing them is a hidden input with userID and different data for each user. Now what I want the person to be able to do is fill out all the forms on the page and submit them at one time, rather than one at a time.

Then in the asp, I'd like to iterate through each form that was submitted (obv I don't know how many were so I assume I'd go through a collection if one exists) and process them one after the next. Is this possible and if so, how do I submit them all together and how do I then go through them on the asp side.
