Value Submitted On Form

I have form around a table. The form contains checkboxes for whihc elements are selected, and hidden fields listing the current value of the elements, and the line identifier for every line so I can tell precisely which subset of the table was visible to that person at that time.

I need to determine if a line that is not selected was prior to this submission. Something pseudocode-wise similar to:

If (Len(Request("DueDate-" & TheItem)) <> 0 ) AND (Request("DueDate").Contains(TheItem)) then

Where Request("DueDate-" & TheItem) contains the current value of the line (not blank since the entry has a length). The second part is what I have a problem with. Without manually looping through Request("DueDate") to do a search, I have no way to tell if Request("DueDate") (which contains a list of selected items) contains the line I am examining.

Trying To Insert Multiple Records Into Database When Form Is Submitted

I'm trying to insert mutiple records into my database when the form is submitted.. My form has 4 textfields; serial1, price1, serial2 and price2.

I would like to insert serial1 and price1 as one record, then serial2 and price2 as the second record. I know some sort of loop has to be used to achieve this but i'm new to this and I don't know what to do...

I tried to do it with dreamweaver but it does not seem possible and the dreamweaver code seems really complicated I've only been able to insert only the first row(serial1,price1).. since I only have 2 fixed rows I guess what I need to do is to get dreamweaver to do it twice in a loop. Code:

I have 2 pages - form.asp and result.asp. in form.asp, i have multiple checkboxes with varying values, like:

<form action="result.asp" method="get" name="form">

I seek to capture these values and add them up in the result.asp page. e.g. if name1 and name3 are selected, i want the total of 14 to be shown up in result.asp page. I need help here for the asp code for the above. Or, may be some advice on how the above can be accomplished.

Adding Values From Records

I want to add intQuantity of all records that have the same prodID. I have tried all sort of variations but I don't seem to get it. I would imagine that it must be simple, that's why I can't get it.

SELECT SUM ( intQuantity) AS ItemTotal
FROM tblOrders
WHERE prodID = ? no clue

Or can I do that in ASP? doing something like (my example doen't work)

<%= (rsOrders("intQuantity") + rsOrders("intQuantity")) %>

in the mean time I'll be looking around for an answer to my lack of know how.

How To Retrieve Form Values, When Form Elements' Names Are (almost) Unknown?

I have a form that is dynamically generated since it is populated with values retrieved from a database. The form can of course also be submitted, which is where I run into some problems.

Since I never know in advance what the length of the form (or for that matter what the different elements' names and values) will be I don't know how to write the code in "receive.asp" to retrieve all values from the form correctly without excess use of "request.....".

I shouldn't have to write requests for every single potential element name that is stored in the DB. Please note that the form can sometimes also contain radio buttons and check boxes, even though they are not present in this short example Code:

Adding Form

I have an ASP page with a table that fills with records from a loop. Every
row gets a link to another ASP page with data from the row. The link is
written as <a href=newpage.asp?value1=xx&value2=yy .... and so on.
Now I try to let the user specify a number that should be sent to the other
page. But I do not want to clutter up every row with each an input field,
so I thought instead I would place it above all the data rows. When the user
clicks on the link, I want to include the input field to the querysting. The
problem here is that I cannot figure out how to refer to the name of the
input field.

Adding Info From A Form To Access Database

Except for extremely basic ASP programming that I did two years ago and have forgotten I have not touched coding since!

I've taken a look at a couple of tutorials but they all baffle me!

Can anyone tell me how I can just create a simple html form with input fields of FirstName, LastName, Email and Phone amd when the user hits submit it is recorded in an access database?

I can do the HTML part fine. And I believe I've set up access ok although Ive never used it before.

Also, if the server that the database will go on is a Microsoft one i suspect that is ok? Im not sure if all i have to do is upload the database and it will work? or do i need to talk to my hosting company to set up some kind of odbc thing that ive heard about?

My database will just be called clients.mdb and the table is called Customers.

This process asp calls some dll functions which might take

Now, the dll opens a pop-up window which shows the status
of the results(number of records processed and failed).
After exactly 1 hour, the user.asp page says page cannot
