Copy Part Of HTML Table To Another HTML Page
I have a table having 3 columns. There is a checkbox for each line. I
need to get those lines whose checkboxes are checked, and show those
lines to another webpage. Is there any way to do that? My concern is
that all information in the table are in <tb></tb> pairs without any
name tag. Any idea?

I want to insert records dynamically. There is a command button insert when this is selected I would like a row added to my html table so the administrator can add his records.
The records will also be automatically updated to the original mysql table.

Display Records From SQL Table
I'm trying to display records from a table in a sql database.The problem is, every month a new table is created, so I don't know what the name of that table is going to be.
It there a way that I can make sure the sql only reads from the latest created table?
Display Data From Different Table
If i created three different type of table. Inside these tables, they might have the same key field's name. Example:
Table A - ExecNo, Month, Year, CustCode
Table B - ExecNo, Month Year, DestCode
as u can see that these two tables have almost the same key field but they r actually keeping different data. how can i list these different data out in an asp page? it is because i am having the problem whereby.
where the table want to display data from table B, it actually misplace by table A . how can i write the sql function to differentiate both of them.
Recordset/HTML Table
On the first ASP page I have a form (checkbox) with 20+ different categories. After the user clicks on a few of them, they all have to be transfered on the second ASP page in HTML table. My problem:
If user selects only three categories, they should represent themselves in three differenst columns in my html table(something like Column-Name). If he selects 4, - four differesnt columns in the same table, etc.
So the table has to be 'dynamic'. It should have the same number of categories that the user selected on the first page. Could it be done? After that I should populate every category from a recordset and I know now how to do that.

Edit HTML Table With Asp
I have tried to edit table in html page with asp, but I havent succeeded in it. The pupose was to check with "if" function that does the variable fit into certain number array. For example:

Can ASP Table Display 200 Columns, 500,000 Rows?
I'm sure it sounds kinda nutty to display 200 columns and
500,000 rows of data. But I have been pulling data from a
Lotus Notes database into Sql Server for a while now, but
Lotus Notes is starting to crack, columns getting
corrupted. Can't handle the volume of data and number of
columns. Sql Server has no problem. But displaying the
data is the big deal. The end users want to be able to
scroll acros a page to the colum of their choice, or be
able to scroll up or down.
I was thinking of breaking up
the table into section, but this would reqire additional
clicking to get to the next section of the table. Would
it be feasable to have a 200 column table in asp? or
should I stick with the section idea? I have to tell my
dept something. They started out with Lotus Notes but
couldn't query the data. I have been suggesting to
migrate the project entirely to Sql Server/IIS. Notes can
at least display all the columns.

ASP Auto Updating An HTML Table
I need to create a webpage with an HTML table that keeps track of certain data. I have created the table and hardcoded all the nonchanging cells.
The problem is the data I need to update the table with is FTP'd to a webshare in a .txt format. I need to take this file, parse it and update the table every morning at 745.
I have found ways to do it if the webpage receives a hit, but I still need it to do it on weekends and holidays when we are not in the office, because this file will be overwritten with the new data file the next day.

What else can I do when I generate the table that will take effect when the file is opened in Excel? I'd like to do things like autofit and sorting. The client does allow Office Automation on the server so I can't write to Excel directly.

I need to display a lengthy html source code within a text area. The problem is, a part of html source code is displayed in the text area and the later part is displayed in the actual html page in which I have the text area. i.e the the html source code is treated as a part of the actual page.

When a selection is made from a list (lstpos) - single selection allowed, (for example a user selecting engineer), it retrieves all the duties (it may b a duty i.e. 1 record OR many duties i.e. more than 1 record) an engineer performs (each one on a different line) from a table and automatically displays text boxes next to each duty so that the user can input "scores" for each duty (rate the engineer).
How to do this?
Next this data needs to be input in a table when the user clicks a button (ADD or OK) in the format :

user1 duty3 score3
etc...

Parse A String From A Field And Display In Table
I need to parse a string from a single, semi-colon delimited, 60 character
field (el_text) in a recordset and display the results in a table on a
webpage (ASP)
I can retrieve the recordset from the database and display the field data
results in rows of a table but have the entire 60 character string in one
cell. I need to break that string apart and put each semi-colon delimited
value in it's own cell. Then move to the next record and do the same thing
in the next row of the table. - and so on
I'm using ASP, VB Script with DMSII Database and OLEDB
Does anyone have some code examples on how to break this field apart and

which is save via FSO with a file extension of .xls which opens up
in MS-Excel. I am inserting several lines of text into a cell and would
like to force a line break between them.
I recorded an MS-Excel macro so see how Alt-Enter was captured
which turned out to be Chr(10) which is the same as vbLf (right?)
I tried inserting that in character in the text but it didn't show up as
a line break in MS-Excel.

I am displaying the data into HTML table into a EXcel file using the REsponse.header and content type, The data retrieved from the database is sucessfully displayed and I am able to open Excel application and save it. But in One of my TD tag I have a image <IMG> tag which should disply the image, but in the excel application the image is not loaded, If I open the table in web browser the image is visible.
Also if I select the save open form the file download box, there is a blank browser window still open, I open this file with window.open functionality. Can somebody suggest how to close the blank window when the excel file is saved on the client PC instead of opening.
