i have managed to get my paypal ipn script to login my webhost to sandbox, however i have had to do this via httppost.
now my problem is, the script moves on, when still loggin in how can i get my script to wait a moment, chill and then proceed as normal like it would if i was live.
You may or may not be aware of $data = <STDIN>; in Perl which basically takes all the data posted from a HTML form and puts it in to one string variable so that you can manipulate it. What's the equivalent/how would you do this in ASP?

When you do that the parent page refreshes to the top of the page....so if you were near the bottom, you would have to scroll back down to get back to where you were. I would like the parent page to hold its position when the child opens.

But the ASP script seem to get called even before the HTML FRAME is loaded ie.(operlayout_preload.html). Is there a way to check in ASP that it should start running only after the html is loaded completely below is the html code that contains the HTML and the ASP(hidden)

I want to use an array to either refer to a recordset or hold the recordset. For example, I have this:

Can I change it to this:

The errors is: Object doesn't support this property or method: 'recordcount'
And if I put quotes in the array dim :
recordset_names(0)="rs_manager_0"
The error is: Object required: 'rs_manager_0'
Its not that I'm too lazy to write out the 4 recordset names each time. Th eproblem is that the number of recorsets is variable and there are a lot of tehm , hence I want to refer to the with some simple looping script.
is there any method that tests if it's the 1st time that page is loaded? Or if the submit button is clicked or not? my form validation function is working as soon as the page is loaded. but i don't want that. i need that function start working only after my submit button is hit. how can i check the difference?
View Replies View RelatedListBox A is bound to Teachers. When an item is selected in ListBox A, related students are read from the Student table and displayed in ListBox B. This is working properly. The problem is when I select an item in ListBox B, it keeps on selecting back the first item. I have AutoPostBack=true for both ListBoxes.
But this happens even when I turn AutoPostBack off for ListBox B. Every time I try to perform an operation on ListBox B, such as remove an item, it always does so to the first item. Wassup with that? Any can tell me what can be done to work around this problem?
I'm working wih Flash and using ASP at the backend to connect to an access DB and retrieve 10 records per execution. Is there a method or way to detect the total-bytes of these 10 records (they can be of any size) AND the bytes used by connecting to the DB in the first place. If I can solve this issue, then i can use actionscript within flash to show the realtime DB connection and data-transfer.

Everything was fine yesterday but when I switched my pc on this morning and tried to access micros personal web server/web manager via start/programs, the page where I click 'start' does not appear.

I have a form that has the option to upload a file at the bottom. If you select a file it works fine but if you leave file selection blank the forms bombs. This is not how I want it to work. On the form you need to use ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" in the form tag.
On the processing page I need to use Set to assign a variable to the form data. I tried using IF on the variable assigned to the file path but it bombs out telling me "This function is not supported". Is there any other way I can check to see if curQes has a value assigned to it?

It's all Ok and can run. But my problem here is I want to call an xml file that I don't know its name (not "data.xml"). The xml file pass by the user who call my asp file. The user can pass the xml via anything for example asp or VB component. So I will not know exactly what the name of the xml file.
