I am sending a newsletter and within newsletter I am inserting data into database.
The email works fine with yahoo mail and outlook but in the hotmail I am facing
problem which is:
I am clicking on the submit button but it is not doing anything.
The page cannot be displayed. There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed. It gives me nothing. See next thread for code.
I have a form that collects data fro a newsletter. Data is passed via form variables and dislplayed on in the newsletter. I am trying to nit use a database due to space concerns. How do I save the newsletter page after the form has been ccompleted?
I have a Website at work which we use for logs. You must login to access anything. I didn't change any code on one of the 9 pages I have and all of a sudden, the Submit button won't work. I'm totally stumped as to why. All the other Submit buttons work fine on all the othere pages.
if i use the objRS instead of the filecont in the replace function i get the same issue. If I do anything with this field (use InStr, or other menial functions) I get no records can be displayed. The contents field is a memo field within Access, i am wondering if this is causing the issue?
I have a form with stacks of fields. This is submitted to a formmail.asp script at my isp which emails the values in the form to me.
Is there anyway using dreamweaver that I can define the order of the form fields when they are submitted to me via email? I eventually add the values in the form to a bit of paper, it would be handy if the email could have them listed in the order they are printed on on the bit of paper.
Ive run into a little trouble. I am sure all of you have used hotmail. Well you know when you select all items to delete, i would like to do something like that, however not delete, but update a field from no to yes.
I would like to add checkboxes to an asp table. So if the user selects say three items they then click on a button, say marked and for each item, it will go to the table and find each record in turn and update the corresponding field from a no to a yes.
Updating is no problem. The problem is, how do i add checkboxes to corresponding asp table. So that particular checkbox corresponds to that particular record. I don't know how to link them together.
I know that hotmail has a service (may be XML) that allows you to retrieve the Hotmail/MSN contact list. I want to make a page with a form - [hotmail username] and [password] - and then generate another page with all the contacts list (like hi5.com, myspace.com, birthdayalarm.com, ringo.com or sms.ac do).
I am using cdonts in my asp scripts to send emails to the users of my website. But every mail to i send to an hotmail account gets in de hotmail spam folder.is there anyway to prevent this from happening?
I have a form that has approximately 7 text fields and 1 checkbox. Generally when this form is submitted(to itself BTW) it works fine, however, when the checkbox is only field that has been modified/clicked the form doesn't always submit. When it does work, a Stored procedure is passed form variables and updates to the db are made. When it doesn't, its as if the form wasn't submitted, it reloads and resets the page, but the stored procedure isn't triggered.
I have been looking for some time now, for a web based email system like hotmail, where we can set it up on our LAN. Have found some but all are a bit expensive ,would like to find as free ASP script if possible.
I run a small community and want to implement what other communties have, when I create an account I usually get the question if I want to recommend it to my friends etc.
And you can usually connect it to say hotmail, yahoo messenger and it will automatically send out email to my contacts that I joined a new site.
When I send htm mail to hotmail using cdosys the links appear like this " javascriptl("news01.htm"); " without quotes, the images appears in the worng place and they shows as attached, but when I send the same mail to Outlook there is no problem, the links and images apeears in the right place, there is no problem with it jus in hotmail or free web based application mail. (yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc...)
has anyone used dundas mailer? I notice hotmail either blocks it or what ? It does deliver to all others mailboxes i have used. What am i doing wrong or omitting ?
For some reason, the email scripts on my web site can't send emails to Hotmail accounts. No error is generated, but no email is sent either. I've done some searching on this matter, and it appears as though I'm not the only one having this problem, but I have yet to find a solution :(
Below is my CDOSYS script that was *supposed to* resolve the problem by passing the SMTP server's along with the email, but it doesn't work :(
Have any of you had success with sending emails to Hotmail accounts via CDO? I don't have control over the server's setup because it's a hosted account...
I am having a problem with an update date query ( there is something wrong with my query both locally and live.
So it has to be the query as my system settings are UK format.
Basically when I go to amend a record without actually doing any changes whatsoever. an click submit, when I see the amend the date switches format, regardless of entering any information.
If I go back and amend the article without doing any changes the date format again is switched back to normal. This is causing big issues, that really need correcting but I cannot figure what I have done wrong. I did previosuly post a message, but this appears to be something diffirent other than local settings. Code:
I am currently trying to code a newsletter script with asp using jmail. I've seen hundreds of examples on the net that accomplish this but there is only one problem they all use a do while statement that sends one email at a time. When I do this the server times out because my list is so long. So I have been trying to write a scrip that uses the BCC function to send one email to everyone at once. Unfortunatly I can't seem to get it to work. Does anyone have any ideas how I can do this?
Created a basic ASP/ADO/Access 2000 Newsletter system using JMail. Basically client has 300+ subscribers and wants to send 1 newsletter email to them all every 1 - 2 months.
Missed my client's call to say it wasn't working, but having checked with my ISP (FastHosts), they have some kind of embargo on the amount of emails that can be sent every 10 seconds.
We currently create an e-newsletter for our members on a weekly basis. I do know some ASP, and have done a lot with what I know. BUT what I would now like to do is find out if there is any good way using ASP or an ASP script that I can extract a URL and email it to people.
Basically we can't afford to continue using b-central to mail our newsletter, so what I am hoping to do is find a script that will allow me to email the contents of our newsletter to people on our subscriber list (as well as to manage that list).
I have found many listserv scripts, but what I can't find is one that actually grabs the content of URL X and turns that in to a HTML email message.
That is what I am looking for. Preferably a free package, if there is such a thing, if not an inexpensive solution (under $200).
I need to create a template for an online newsletter that will auto-generate page number (with current page not hyperlinked) and previous and next buttons (no previous on first page and no next on last page).
Does anyone know of any quick asp code that will do this? I don't think that it'd be too hard to do, but I'm very new at asp. Code:
if anyone had any good recommendations on a good newsletter/mailing list script. My site is slowly gaining new members everyday and needs someway to email them important updates/newsletters. I have tried creating one myself but run into problems when trying to send out a large quantity. So I’ve decided to find a script to do this in order to save me time.
I usually work with PHP but have taken on an optimzation job where the guy has an aSP site and will be installing a newsletter as part of the make-your-site -more-useful process.
Does anybody know of a decent, really, really simple, newsletter ecript in ASP, that has (or is possible to translate to) a Spanish interface, and is easy to install?
I once found a script that would automatically notice changes on your site, and then auto-matically send a newsletter to your users notifying them of the changes, and giving a short description. I know how to do everything but get the changes and summarizing them. Anyone know of such a script (that's free)?
