I would like to prevent a page from breaking out of it's iframe when indexed by a search engine. I would like to use asp (which I am just starting out in) and I know it is somewhere along the lines of "yourframespage.asp?id=pageid".
Can anyone give me a rundown of how I do this exactly because I cannot seem to work out how to do it.

We have a Web page that at load time will execute and build: a DHTML Menu/Data Driven, an Iframe with Detail Data, an Iframe to display Progress Information and another iframe with totals information of the previous iframe with Detail Data. Everything works fine except during the initial load. If we click on any place of the page during the above loading schema, the process stops
and we end-up with Iframes with incomplete information and empty calculations. We need to refresh and avoid using the mouse and keyboard during the load time to get a decent start.Is anyone familiar with this behavior? Any ideas to solve
this issue without disable the mouse?

View Replies View RelatedI have a parent window (default.asp) and on this page I have an IFrame that displays the rest of the menu requests for the site. The url always shows the base url, never other pages because they appear in the IFrame - this is by design.
The content in the IFrame is dynamic and may scroll forever depending on how much data is retrieved from the db. If the user scrolls down the IFrame to view to contents, the top of the default.asp page scrolls with it until it reaches the top of the IFrame.
The problem is that when navigating through the site I can't seem to figure out how to get it to jump to the top of the default.asp page when the page in the IFrame changes. This causes the user to have to scroll up and down throughout the site making it unappealing for navigation reasons.
My form, "Form1.asp" includes an "email" input box. Upon submit the user is redirected to "Form2.asp" which includes an iFrame called "formFrame.asp".
How do I entrap the "email form" value

I am not able to establish connection to the hidden value from the iFrame.

It works fine, however the the last "> breaks off to the next line which shouldn't be happening. I tried searching for "<br>" and chr(34) (the carriage return),but there's nothing.
The default ASP generates the HTML response including several IFRAMES. It takes a long time to load this page. I believe a lot of it is round trips to load the IFRAMES. Couldn't include files be used to increase this performance, so everything is done in the initial call instead of multiple round trips?

For new inspections I want to be able to search the DB for the Owner, User, Contractor, and Cert_Recipient for new boilers the certificate will be mailed to the contractor which will be the Cert_recipient first.
then for annual inspections I want to be able to search for Owner, user, and Cert_Recipient for annual inspections I will have to search the DB for either the owner or User as the Cert_Recipient
For some apparent reason I can't stop the search, it keeps going thru the loop. I must be missing something. Code:
The login state in my site relies on a combination of session variables and encrypted cookies. Some of my users are reporting that they are being "logged out" by the system - which seems to be related to their cookies being blanked out. I've checked all of the code and now that it's not being overwritten by my ASP.
The weird thing is that my site has two domain names, both pointing to the same pages and directories (no redirect). If this problem is happening to them and they switch to the other domain name and log back into the site, they stay logged in no problem. It also seems to not recur if the person is "logged out" and then logs back into the site on their own.
I had one problem like this in the past, because I had a tracking cookie that was being written on every page, and found that some browsers (don't remember which) had a limit of how many cookies could be written - and when they hit the limit the oldest cookie was tossed out. However, I don't have any code doing this now.
Anybody have any ideas what could be going on? Are there any session variable/cookie limits on the server side?
Can anyone tell me why the funciton checkCode returning in the middle of the for loop breaks the for loop? ie. If I remove the section:

from the code snippet below, then the code will successfully loop through and print out all the post var fields (there are in fact 4).
If however you leave this in, the function returning seems to break the for loop from continuing through all the other post variables after "user_code" Code:
Is there any way that I can break up text in a text field to spread across multiple fields in an access database? I've got a FAQ section that I want admins to be able to edit via an online interface. Unfortunately, it often doesn't fit into the 255 character restriction that access has. Any ideas?

I had a 404 page set up in IIS 5.0 that would the the URL of the requested page from the query string. i recently upgraded to IIS 6.0 but it doesn't seem to put the requested URL in the query string as it did in IIS 5.0 and 3.0. Does anyone know how i can get the requested url property in IIS 6?
View Replies View RelatedI have a bout 5 different pages of which each will contain a form requiring users to complete. These forms are all related as one project. It is necessary that if the user was to only complete the first form they could theoretically quit, come back later (time not dependant) and complete the remaining pages. Therefore I think the best way to do this is to write the values to the database upon each click of the next button. The only other issue with this is that the user will also be receiving a pdf file at the end of the full form submission with all their information inserted into this pdf and finalized. Now. I am aware of pdflib in which I need php but my choice was to do this in asp. What are my options here? Should I combine them, should I draw all the info from the db at the very end with php and then create the pdf, should I use sessions during the entire process

local host displays the labels all in the top left corner
of the screen. Also, all textboxes and image buttons are
not even displayed at all. If pages are made on a remote
server, they load perfetly fine, it is just the local host
displaying them incorrectly. Is this a common problem?? I
have iis 5.0 installed with windows 2000. i use the full
version of vs.net to make asp.net pages.
I have a web site I've recently moved to a new provider.It has
worked for years.On the new provider's servers ( Win2k Server .NET 1.1 )
my asp 3.0 pages often don't completely execute.
Here is what happens: Most of the page starts displaying in the browser,
then you see some HTML, then nothing.
If you refresh a few times, the page finally completely loads. There is
never an error reported during any of this.
I have installed IIS 5 on Windows 2000 Server and have applied all the neccessary updates and patches. I am unable to run any ASP pages on the local server. I am able to view the HTML pages though. I have checked everything but cannot seem to figure it out. I end up getting HTTP 500 for all the web pages.

The problem is that when I try to access the demo site, the pages are not being served correctly - only lables are displayed, and not as configured. HTML pages display correclty. I tried to run aspnet_regiss, but get an unkown function error.
