Receive Form Data In Email?
I'm looking for a simple e-mail form processing for my website. I want users to be able to add their e-mail in a simple text field with a submit button so I can receive it by e-mail. I've looked on the Internet and it seems so complicated.

I have a form (it's a .asp page) that people fill out to receive a free brochure. The form results are sent to a database (mdb).This is what I want to do. I want to be notified by email everytime someone fills out the form. I also want to be able to use an auto-responder and send an automatic message to the person that filled out the form.
In the future, I would like to be able to have the people be automatically signed up for the newsletter (with the option of not be added to the newsletter).

I have a form that has the option to upload a file at the bottom. If you select a file it works fine but if you leave file selection blank the forms bombs. This is not how I want it to work. On the form you need to use ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" in the form tag.
On the processing page I need to use Set to assign a variable to the form data. I tried using IF on the variable assigned to the file path but it bombs out telling me "This function is not supported". Is there any other way I can check to see if curQes has a value assigned to it?

here is the script i use:
Set myMail=server.CreateObject("CDO.Message")
myMail.Subject="subject"
myMail.From="me"
myMail.To=request.form("email")
myMail.TextBody="hello"
myMail.Send
set myMail=nothing
this script sends emails to some addresses but not others--and its based on the email service it's sending to. for instance, hotmail email addresses get the email, but mail.com email addresses dont get the email. i have tried sending it to other email hosts, too, and still, some work, some don't. what is going on here?

Would anyone be able to give some guideance in ASP code as to how I would repeat a section of input fields in a form based upon the number of guests that are attending an event?
Basically, what needs to happen is if 3 guests are attending, I need the Name, address, city, state fields to repeat so they can be filled in with information.
Then all of the information from the whole form is submitted which returns an email to the administrator of the event.

I was just wondering what the requirements are on my computer system if I want to be able to receive e-mails (to my own mail server and not through the mail server of my ISP). I already have a functioning SMTP-server, but I guess that only works for outgoing mails, or is there maybe a way I can send mails to this SMTP-server?
Do I need a fixed IP-address? Do I need so kind of special software like Win 2003 server or maybe Exchange Server? Do I need my own domain name? Anything else I need to bear in mind if I want to have my own incoming mail server?

Is it possible for IIS to send some sort of notification when an ASP
error occurs on a page?
I can see them in the web logs, but I was wondering if there was a way
to receive an email or some other alert
I thought about using CDO Send Mail, but this object is often what
cause the error in the first place.

I have been writing a photoalbum in ASP and I am trying to receive an undetermined amount of files.
A more detailed explanation:
The client side (Javascript) generates a new file upload box as soon as the file in the first box is selected...the name of the file upload boxes is bestand[] so that the input is received in an array.
Now I am trying to receive all the files with ASP and store them on the server....

I have a series a forms that submit data to different tables in a database. As it stands, when a user completes FORM 1 and clicks the SUBMIT button, the FORM 1 data is submitted (action = form2.asp, method = post) to ASP code at the top of FORM 2 (request.form("form1 field name") etc...), and submitted to the database with SQL code, also at the top of FORM 2(INSERT into...). Hence the submit button on FORM 1 directs the user to FORM 2, and submits the data which is exaclty what I wanted. However, I now need the users to submit multiple sets of data with FORM 1, and direct them to FORM 2 once they have finished using FORM 1. Most importantly, I need to pass a few parameters from FORM 1 to FORM 2, and have these parameters submitted to the database.
My main problem is getting a fresh form1 after submiting the same form1, in preparation for anoter set of data using the same form. Basically, the database has 'one to many' relationship tables. Form1 and form2 are both populating the 'many' tables, so that each form needs to be filled-in several times while retaining the key field of the 'one' table. At the moment submiting form1 takes me to form2. Is is possible to submit the data to the database, get form1 back again to submit more data, as many times as required, then click another button to load form2 when the user is finished with form1?
Can anyone please give me some pointers? or at least explain the concept of what I need to do. I am a novice and it's taking me a while to get to this stage. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Is it possible to post FORM1 to itself and insert the data (i.e. place the request.form at the top of FORM 1) If so, how do I direct users to FORM 2 while retaining my parameters?

I have a fairly advanced order processing / tracking system I designed
with MS Access, MySQL & ASP.
I want to add an enhanced order tracking facility where a user can send
an email to a specific address we set up, with an ID & PO Number in the
subject / body, and then have our system reply with the required
information.
Is this done with asp or something completely different ?
When an email comes in, what would auto scan all incomming emails and
read the data ?
Is there a special component I need for this. I just want this to
happen in the background, whilst possibly sending me an alert email
each time the system is used. This will help me guage the services
required.
