Using classic ASP, are there any examples which I can use to show a stock price of a particular stock.The URL I am looking at is:

Is there a way that the page will directly update the intranet page with the stock price of the indicated stock?
I'm currently writing a custom financial app that tracks stock purchases and
values. however, I need help in retrieving stock quotes from the internet. A
20 minute delayed quote is fine. I do not want to revert to "page or screen
scraping".
Is it possible to grab stock quotes (with of course the 15min delay!!) and place within an ASP page?written in ASP.it is possible to read HTML content on webpages without outputting them and then using the values etc
View Replies View RelatedI have built a site with a cart which works fine but the client now wants stock to be deducted when the items is added to the cart. I have added 3 fields to the products table Stock, inBasket and Sold. The issue is that when they add to their Cart I deduct from Stock and add to inBasket.
If the user never completes the purchase then the stock level is always too low and inbasket too high.
If the users sales is completed in PayPal they are returned to the site and their Order is marked as paid or cancelled.
What I'd like if it is possible is a way set a timer on an order so that if it didn't complete the stock is reinstated.
I have made a type of system for stock where there is a page that displays all the stock on hand. This is pulling data from a table in the database. There is another page for taking stock.
So, you click on an item from the dropdown list and then type in the quantity you are taking. This info is inserted into a different table. How do I do an update so that if someone takes 20 of an item, it deducts 20 from the stock on hand column in the other table?
Does anyone know how to implement a stock quote using ASP on a website? Any sample code or components, etc.

i have 3 textfields: txtPrice, txtQty and txtSubPrice.
price for an item will be fetched from db at display in the txtPrice (i can do this). then, user just key-in the quantity for the item and automatically the sub price will appear in the txtSubPrice.
i have coded a function name CalculateSub() using javascript and tried to do the automatically calculation using onClick and onFocus at the txtSubPrice but failed. seems like textfield cannot has this function.

I have a search form which has a price drop down menu with diferent values.
In this list there is an option "Any price" its value is "%" and the results page its retrivig a full list of items with any price.
Waht I want to do is that if you select 150.000 from the list, the results page should retrive items from 150.000.

As all the prices on my site are in Australian Dollars, I' trying my very best to find a way to display the total price in USD as well....
Eg:
Total Price : $ AUD 100.00
Total Price : $ USD 79.00 (real time rates)
I need to do this because I also want to Accept PAYPAL account payments which cannot be made in AUD.
I am developing a simple ASP-Access system for invoicing purpose, and the system is in 98% progress. What I want to do now is to add some sort of "control stock levels".
Let say I have set the quantity of an item/product (eg, pencil=100) in my database (in my database it refer to the table tblProducts with the field called PStockLevel) When one customer want to buy 10 pencil, the system will automatically set the PStockLevel to 90. All the calculation will be done in the page called tasks.asp.

View Replies View RelatedI have a database of songs listed as Title, Artist,Description, DiscNo and TrackNo with a seperate record in that format for each song.What I would like to do is search through them for the Description, show only the disc numbers in the results.
This I can do easily. Where I am lost is that I only want each individual disc number to show once. If I moveNext through the recordset, it shows the disc number 15 times per disc. Is there a filter I can add to limit this display?

if a user views a pdf and then modifes it if they click the link again it still shows the old version of the file. They have to hit there refresh button to show the changes. How can I make it so my page always displays the lastest version of the PDF and not what is in the cache?
i have a website that users log on to. On one of the pages is a form. What I want to do is only show a certain part of the form for specific users. The way i want to do this is by using their username as a 'show if' command in dreamweaver. What I currently have is this
