I am trying to make a Applet and it works fine in Eclipse, but when I use it on the webserver I only obtain this Exception. It only happen when I make calls like this:
I have tried running the java application without adding the site to site list in java security tab. But I get a sand box message as APPLICATION BLOCKED BY SECURITY SETTINGS. How to run the java application without adding the site to site list in java security tab.
I have been on java applets and it's been fun but I'm stucked with painting a ladybug image on applet using "getImage ( getCodeBase(), "Images/ ladybug.gif") to load the image. It runs but the appletviewer is blank. My applets are not embedded in the web. I just type the codes in eclipse and click the 'run' button.I think the problem is that java is not finding the image in the directory I specified. Please where am I supposed to save the ladybug image so that java can find it on my system whenever I supply the path.
so recently i made an applet and i was gonna put it up on my website when i got an error saying that java had blocked the applet duo to security thingys..sooo i looked in to it and i found out that apparently you need permission from java to run a applet or something like that, because there was a lot of viruses coming from there or something...
so does that mean only big game company's that can actually get permission by java make applets? are applets dead!? is there no other way to play java games in a browser!??!
The error I get is as follows...When the page is loaded I get the following error: java.lang.SecurityException: class "com.myPackage. test.client. TaskApplet" does not match trust level of other classes in the same package
I was giving a quick skim to some tutorials on the internet where I have found the exception that is handled is also declared in the throws clause of the method wrapping the try-catch block. For a code representation consider the following:
public void methodName() throws IOException { try { ... } catch (IOException ex) { .... TODO handle exception }
I have a Query, what is the exception handling framework used my project, but we actually did not use any framework ,we used just normal try catch and throws, so what is the exception handling framework, when I browsed through net I found something like JEHA, so is there any other framework available.
I know I can calculate the sum of squares as such:
// SumSquares.java: calculate the sum of two squares class SumSquares { static int sumSquares(int a, int B)/>/> { int asquare; int bsquare;
[Code] ....
But how can I modify the code so that it inputs a list of integer values in the range of -100 to 100 from the keyboard and computes the sum of the squares input values. And how would I go about using exception handling to ensure that the input values are in range and are legal integers.
I am submitting on a online judge. I am getting NZEC exception in my code
this is my code
import java.io.BufferedReader; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.InputStreamReader; public class MyProgram { static int[] arr; static int sum=0; static int x,y,N;
import java.util.ArrayList; import java.util.Scanner; public class Main { private String[] inputStrings; private ArrayList<InputField> decodedMessage; public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception{ new Main().solve();
[Code] ....
This is giving me NZEC exception.I am testing this solution on a online judge.So I don't have any TestCase in which this is failing. So, what are the possible reason of NZEC exception in my code?
i have a j sf application that is using web-services to communicate to another application and pass some parameters to it.The application has three methods one to call the webservice,another to insert some values into a database and the third method to call the two methods when i click a button in a form.The methods a are
update() this is for calling a webservice and passing parameters to it. insertt() to in sert to a database. all() to call the above two.
when i call upadate and insertt in all method am getting an error java lang null pointer exception but when i call just one of the methods it executes successfully.This is my code package softmint.com;
I am validating an xml file using XQuery in Java using XQJ API. When the query is triggered it is giving the ClassNotFoundException for orai18n.text.OraCollator. I have placed the orai18n-collation.jar file in MANIFEST.MF file and it is loaded in to the class path.
Not sure on why it is giving the exception.
The JDK i am using JDK1.7 and application server is weblogic.
When I am watching scjp mock test, I am getting error about security.
I am trying to add www.javaranch.com to site exception list in java control panel. I can see security tab in java control panel, there I find field for Site Exception List. When I am add [URL] .... to this site exception list, list is not getting populated.
Why is that ? Why am I unable to add this site to list ?
I am using 64-bit system and have downloaded and installed 64 bit update patch 51.
I am having some issues with errors. Here is my code...
import java.io.*; import java.util.Scanner; public class StormChaser { public static void main(String[] args) { // Constants final int MAX_STORMS = 319;
[Code] .....
I am having issues with these error messages.... I have tried a couple of different things with each error but haven't been able to figure it out.

I have written a java applet. Few months before It was working all fine but my client has some other requirements now and I have to edit it. I am getting two problems:
1. I could not execute it on my local computer as it always gives "your security settings have blocked a local application from running". I have edited the settings from Control Panel but it is then started giving permission error on including permission in manifest file it started giving trusted library error and still it is not resolved.
2. Can I know how to work with third party library with applets. I have imported the library and uses its few classes but when I tried to load applet it always give no class definition found error. I have some ways mentioned online like use comma separated names for all the jars but no luck so far.
We have developed a java application, whose primary objective is to read a file(input file), process it and convert it into set of output files. (I have given a generic description of our solution, to avoid irrelevant details).
This program works perfectly fine when the input file is of 4 GB, with memory settings of -Xms4096m -Xmx16384m in a 32 GB RAM
Now we need to run our application with the input file of size 130 GB.
We used a linux box with 250GB RAM and with memory setting of -Xms40g -Xmx200g (also tried couple of other variations) to run the application and hit OutOfMemory Exception.
At this stage of our project it's very hard to consider redesigning the code to accommodate hadoop ( or someother large scale data processing framework), also the current hardware configuration which we can afford is 250GB of RAM.
Any ways to avoid OutOfMemory Exceptions, what is the general practice when developing these kind of applications.?
I am very much new to jsp and servlet. I want to set global error page for every exception occured at server side. I am trying with following code , but something is going wrong and I am not able to c error page.
Right, so I got this program. It takes input from the user and assigns it to fields on an object. But, it's meant to check the users input. If the user enters bad input, it's supposed to throw this exception. For each of these exceptions, theres a class specifically for it.
public class PayrollDemo { public static void main(String[] args) { Payroll pr = new Payroll ("Test Name", 234); System.out.println("Current Employee Information. "); System.out.println("Name: " + pr.getName()); System.out.println("ID: " + pr.getID()); System.out.println("Hourly Pay Rate: " + pr.getHourlyPayRate());
[Code] ....
And this is the exception class.
public class InvalidNameException extends Exception { /** No-arg constructor */ public InvalidNameException() { super("Invalid name"); } }
PayrollDemo.java:43: error: cannot find symbol InvalidNameException.InvalidNameException(); ^ symbol: method InvalidNameException() location: class InvalidNameException 1 error
It's just meant to tell the user that they entered an invalid value, which would mean if they entered an empty string instead of a name.
this is what I clobbered together for the O'Reilly Java 2 Course, final assignment. There may well be several issues still with this code, my main grief at the moment is: The mouseReleased does not react (it did in the assignment I lifted it from and made only minor changes). No matter where I click on the grid, nothing happens.
