Opoly Game - Goal Of The Game Is To Reach Or Exceed Reward Value 1000

Opoly works this way: The board is a circular track of variable length (the user determines the length when the game app runs). There is only one player, who begins the game at position 0.

Thus, if the board length is 20, then the board locations start at position 0 and end at position 19. The player starts with a reward of 100, and the goal of the game is to reach or exceed reward value 1000. When this reward value is reached or exceeded, the game is over. When the game ends, your program should report the number of turns the player has taken, and the final reward amount attained.

In Opoly the game piece advances via a spinner - a device that takes on one of the values 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 at random, with each of the five spin values equally likely.

Although the board is circular, you should draw the state of the board as a single "line", using an 'o' to represent the current player position, and * represent all other positions. Thus if the board size is 10, then this board drawing:

means that the player is at location 2 on the board.

Here are the other Opoly game rules:

If your board piece lands on a board cell that is evenly divisible by 7, your reward doubles.

If you land on the final board cell, you must go back 3 spaces. Thus if the board size is 20, the last position is position 19, and if you land there, you should go back to position 16. (If the position of the last cell is evenly divisible by 7, no extra points are added, but if the new piece location, 3 places back, IS evenly divisible by 7, then extra points ARE added).

If you make it all the way around the board, you get 100 points. Note that if you land exactly on location 0, you first receive 100 extra points (for making it all the around), and then your score is doubled, since 0 is evenly divisible by 7,

Every tenth move (that is, every tenth spin of the spinner, move numbers 10,20,30,... etc.), reduces the reward by 50 points. This penalty is applied up front, as soon as the 10th or 20th or 30th move is made, even if other actions at that instant also apply. Notice that with this rule it's possible for the reward amount to become negative.

spinAndMove - spins the spinner and then advances the piece according to the rules of the game. No return value, no parameters. Must call spin and move.

spin - generates an integer value from 1 to 5 at random- all equally likely. Returns an integer, no parameters.

move - advances the piece according to the rules of the game. No return value, takes an integer parameter that is a value from 1 to 5.

isGameOver - checks if game termination condition has been met. Returns true if game is over, false otherwise. No parameters.

drawBoard - draws the board using *'s and an o to mark the current board position. Following each board display you should also report the current reward. No return value, no parameters.

displayReport - reports the end of the game, and gives the number of rounds of play, and the final reward. No return value, no parameters.

Im trying to make a tic tac toe game that you play against the computer using a random number generator and two dimensional arrays for the game board. Im not trying to make a GUI, the assignment is to have the board in the console, which I have done. I have run into a few problems with trying to get the computer player to correctly generate 2 integers and have those two integers be a place on the game board. Here is my code so far.

How To Compile Servlets In Command Prompt

I have set the CLASSPATH

(C:Program FilesApache-Tomcat-7apache-tomcat-7.0.53libservlet-api.jar,
PATH(C:Program FilesJavajdk1.7.0_51in)

and JAVA_HOME

(C:Program FilesJavajdk1.7.0_51) environmental variable on my windows XP.

I installed tomcat server and its running fine. I made my first servlet(DemoServlet.java) in

C:Program FilesApache-Tomcat-7apache-tomcat-7.0.53webappsDEMOWEB-INFclasses folder.

I made the XML file (web.xml) in C:Program FilesApache-Tomcat-7apache-tomcat-7.0.53webappsDEMOWEB-INF folder. In command prompt I went to the classes folder

(C:Program FilesApache-Tomcat-7apache-tomcat-7.0.53webappsDEMOWEB-INFclasses).

And tried to compile my servlet(javac DemoServlet.java) but it is showing file not found error. I am new to servlets.

Random Number With User Prompt?

I am wanting this program to prompt the user to enter a maximum value and a minimum value and the program should in theory generate a random number for the output. Here is my logic:

I am suppose to design a problem the prompts the user to enter a String. Based on the input from the user, have the program prompt with a full description of the playing card entered. Below is a table of the notation and meaning:

DiceSum - Prompt User For A Desired Sum

My full instructions are to Design a Java interface called Priority that includes two methods and two constants. The methods are setPriority and getPriority. The constants are MIN_PRIORITY with value 1 and MAX_PRIORITY with value 6. The interface should define a way to establish numeric priority among a set of objects. Design and implement a class called Task that represents a task (such as on a to-do list) that implements the Priority interface. Assume that Task has two attributes (instance data): name and priority. Define the Task constructor to accept and initialize the name of the task. Each newly created Task should have priority equal to MIN_PRIORITY (the constructor should initialize priority to MIN_PRIORITY). Priorities can be changed using setPriority method. Create a driver class TaskDriver that should do the following: prompt the user to enter three tasks and their priorities, and then print the tasks in the order of decreasing priorities. If the user enters an invalid priority that is less than MIN_PRIORITY or greater than MAX_PRIORITY, then the user should be asked to enter priority again until a valid priority value is entered.

Swing/AWT/SWT :: How To Prompt Before Exit In Single Frame Application

I have a Single Frame Application and I simply want to prompt the user with a dialog confirming they really want to close before they actually close the program, specifically when they click the X in the upper right. I THOUGHT it was like any other java application, with the slight added complexity of having to target the program-created-JFrame with: ".getApplication().getMainFrame()".

MyApp.getApplication().getMainFrame().setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.DO_NOTHING_ON_CLOSE);

With that code, DO_NOTHING_ON_CLOSE is set on the JFrame, yet the program closes anyways. Which I don't understand.So I did some reading and found this: URL....That lead me to the configureWindow override, where I successfully tried this:

But as far as I can tell that will only let me react to the window closing, not to the command to close it, where I could then kill the command in the dialog if they so "no I'm not ready to quit yet", if that makes sense. So, how to give a prompt before closing?I am using netbeans IDE to create this app - not sure if that is relevant, since maybe it is an oddity with the IDE and not Single Frame Applications.

So it is the question: This program implements a simple "decoder ring". It will prompt the user for a message to decode and decode the message based on the following substitution rules:

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ will map to
ZEBRASCDFGHIJKLMNOPQTUVWXY

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz will also map to
ZEBRASCDFGHIJKLMNOPQTUVWXY

any other characters (like space, punctuation, will map to themselves)

so if it sees an 'A' (or an 'a'), it will map to 'Z', etc... All i could think of is this but can't figure out the rest.
