C# DLL To Read In Java (Biometric Finger Print)
Jul 19, 2014
My Personal Researches on this topic was ::
1) Use socket programming (i was able to connect to that ip and port but of no use? how to get data ??)
2) A lot of forums suggest the JNI or JNA way.. which i tried out and accomplished a connection to the port.
But the problem was the appoarch i used in JNA which only supports the loading of C/C++ dll files... not C# dll.... the BioMetric Finger Print device is coded in C#...

Designed to store a first name (string), last name (string), and zip (int). Assume each line will contain two strings followed by integer each separated by tab. Then print.
I have my two class files (one for the individual and one for the array) and then my driver below. I think my only problem is my driver. I think I'm reading the data file wrong but not sure how exactly.
test in .txt file:

So I need to write a program that reads through a String and counts how many vowels there are and prints them out as it finds them. This is what I have so far:
if (vowel == 'a' || vowel =='e' || vowel =='i' || vowel == 'o' || vowel == 'u'){
numberOfVowels++;
}
The problem is that I can't figure out how to print out the character once it detects it as a vowel.

The point of this program is to read characters from a txt file and store them into a 2D array. After this has been accomplished, the information is to be printed in the same manner it is read from in the txt file.
Here is the code I have so far:
import java.io.File;
import java.io.FileNotFoundException;
import java.util.Scanner;
public class Main
{
public static void main(String[] args) throws FileNotFoundException
[Code] ....
And this is the error I am receiving when trying to accomplish the goal of the project:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "############"
at java.lang.NumberFormatException.forInputString(Unk nown Source)
at java.lang.Integer.parseInt(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.Integer.parseInt(Unknown Source)
at Maze.<init>(Maze.java:15)
at Main.main(Main.java:20)
What's going on here and how I can correct this?? The information I am trying to store in a 2D array and then print is this:
############
#.#........#
#.#.######.#
#.#....#...#
#.###.*#.#.#
#...####.#.#
#.#.#..#.#.#
#.#.#.##.#.#

I have to write a program that will read a picture and then print out the number of blocks inside it.
I have to read the picture as a binary matrix of the size r - c (number of rows times number of columns). The blocks are groups of one or more adjacent elements with the value 1.
- Blocks are built exclusively of elements with value 1
- Each element with value 1 is a part of some block
- Adjacent elements with value 1 belong to the same molecule.
We only take into account the horizontal and vertical adjacency but not diagonal.
INPUT:
In the first line of the input we have the integers r and c, separated with one space.
Then we have the r lines, where each contains s 0's and 1's.
The numbers inside the individual lines are NOT separated by spaces.
The OUTPUT only print the number of blocks in the picture.
Example:
INPUT:
7 5
01000
00010
00000
10000
01000
00001
00100
OUTPUT:
6
THIS IS WHAT I CAME UP SO FAR:
import java.util.Scanner;
class Blocks{
public static void main(String[] args){
Scanner sc=new Scanner(System.in);
char ch[][];
int rowNum=sc.nextInt();
int columnNum=sc.nextInt();
[Code] ....

I'm currently meddling with javaScript in order to implement a fingerPrinting system in my web application. I've developed the following example in which I can get all the necessarily data:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"
xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
xmlns:ui="http://java.sun.com/jsf/facelets">
[Code] ....
Which works correctly.
So when I tried to run it in the following page:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' ?>
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"
xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core">
<h:head>
<title>SET - Simulador Econômico Tendências</title>
[Code] .....
It simply won't work!
The function faz() is called and only the first "alert" popup is called, the second one which should show what is returned by dadosDaTela() isn't generated, why is that?

I'm trying to implement a two finger gesture to move a control for a touch screen. However simply touching the screen with two fingers will generate several events that jump all over the place. This here is the code:
import javafx.application.Application;
import javafx.geometry.Point2D;
import javafx.scene.Node;
import javafx.scene.Scene;
import javafx.scene.layout.Pane;
import javafx.scene.paint.Color;
import javafx.scene.shape.Rectangle;
[Code] ....
The log output looks something like this:
Two finger move pressed
First layout: 100.0, 100.0
Move by 94.0, 209.0 event set=4
Move by 1.0, 0.0 event set=5
Move by 95.0, 208.0 event set=6
Move by 1.0, 1.0 event set=8
Move by 96.0, 208.0 event set=11
Move by 219.0, 147.0 event set=11
Move by -121.0, 61.0 event set=13
I know that there is the possibility that I get multiple events with the same event set id. However this is not always the case. I would have expected to get one for each of the finger in the gesture. Why is that? As I understand the difference between changing the layout coordinates and the transformation is, that with the transformation coordinates, the bounds in parent changes, but not the bounds itself.
I'm not entirely clear on what effect this has, especially as I will also have the zoom and rotate gesture on the component. Which one is the better choice to change?To my understanding the coordinates of the touchpoint are relative to the parent component. In this case the layout coordinates of the rectangle. This would mean that I have to calculate the delta of the touch point in the onTouchMoved to the touch point of onTouchPressed.
This would get me the vector the rectangle moved.In the above example I use the main touch point of the two touchpoints of the event. As I understand it this should always be the same one. The correct way would be to calculate the geometric mean of the two points and use that, but that has the same effect. Simplifying the above example to one touch point only shows the same jumping behavior.

New to programming. Am supposed to create a program that reads a text file (of integers) and computes a series of computations on these integers. I don't have the code for the integers in my code yet, (i know how to do those), but am struggling getting the array to simply print in the print writer. I have the user select a text file, read the file with a scanner, and then save the computations done from my code into another file. specifically, the problem is as follows: Write a program that uses a file chooser dialog to select a file containing some integers. The file contains an integer N followed by N integers. The program then uses a file chooser dialog to let the user specify the name and location of an output file to write results to.The data written to the output file will be as follows
(1) The original list of N numbers from the input file,
(2) The original list of N numbers printed in reverse order of how they appear
in the input file.
(3) The sum and average of these numbers,
(4) The minimum of all the numbers,
(5) The maximum of all the numbers.

import java.io.PrintWriter;
import java.io.Writer;

I have seen different methods of creating and reading files (specifically text files) in Java. The PrintWriter method or the Formatter with a Scanner to read the file, using a BufferedWriter with a BufferedReader, etc. They will all read/write text files, but from what I understand they do so in different ways. When would it be more beneficial to use a buffered writer than, say, PrintWriter, which is much simpler code-wise? Is there a "best" way to handle i/o in general in Java?

I am trying to write a program that read from a csv file called matches.csv.
A single football match can end with a win or a draw: in first case the winner team get 3 points and the loser none, in the second case of draw each of the two teams get 1 point.
For example, the first line of the file matches.txt is as follow:
In the file it contains the following data.
17/08/2013ArsenalAston Villa13
24/08/2013Aston VillaLiverpool01
This means that a match has been played on the 17/08/2013 where Arsenal scored 1 goal while Aston Villa 3 goals: thus Arsenal got 0 points while Aston Villa 3 points.
How can I structure my output to make it make it read
Position Team Played Points
1 Aston Villa 2 3
2 Liverpool 1 3
3 Arsenal 1 0
import java.io.File;
import java.io.FileNotFoundException;
import java.util.Scanner;
public class Teams {
public static void main(String[] args) {
String fileName = "matches.csv";
File file = new File(fileName);

i am trying to assign unique values to nodes read from XML file.. eg: consider this XML file:
<breakfast_menu>
<food>
<name>Belgian Waffles</name>
<price>$5.95</price>
<description> ...Strong Belgian waffles...</description>
<calories>650</calories>
[code]....
now assigning these nodes "a unique value" has to be done following the LSDX labelling pattern i.e:
To the document element we first give an “a”.As there is no parent node for the document element, we assign “0” at the front of that “a” . “0a” is the unique code for the document element (breakfast_menu). For the children nodes of “0a”, we continue with the next level of the XML tree which is “1” then the code of its parent node which is “a” and a concatenation “.” . We then add a letter “b” for the first child, letter “c” for the second child, “d” for the third child and so on.Unique codes for children nodes of “0a” shall be “1a.b”, “1a.c”, “1a.d”, etc.Hence foe the above given XML the mapping would look something like this:
0a breakfast_menu
1a.b food
2ab.b name
2ab.c price
2ab.d description
2ab.e calories
2ab.f chef
3abf.b chef1
3abf.c chef2
1a.c food
2ac.b name
2ac.c price
2ac.d description
2ac.e calories
2ac.f chef
3acf.b chef1
3acf.c chef2
For more samples about LSDX labelling : 1.) Section 3.1 LSDX Labelling on this link: [URL]
2.) Fig 3 on page 1189 on this link:[URL]
right now i am using SAX parser to read xml and get the nodes in their hierarchical order..now the problem is that i have to assign these specific value to their respective nodes using java.
