I can't recolate and align the button, the circle or the line where i want it to on the canvas. I want to be able to move the line where i want it, now it seems like all objects are stuck in the middle of the scene or canvas.
So I have an array of objects, each with their own position, I tried switch the references in the array of two objects, then repainted (immediately), but the two objects aren't switching positions on screen...does this even work?
I am trying to draw add flowers on a graphics window. I can do this just fine, however the position starts from the far left and goes to the far right. I would like to position the 8 flowers in the center of the screen but can't seem to get the right formula to do so. Here is what I have so far to draw the flower, which is simply a GOval nothing complex:
The box size of the window is 800 by 600. Ideally I would like to place x amount of flowers spread across the middle of the screen. How might I do this???
I have an assignment in which I have to design a method where I add an object at any given position in an array and shift the elements already in the array to make room. For example I have a collection class which holds trading card objects. So I wish to add a new trading card to this collection at a specified index or position with out deleting the current object already stored in the array . All this has to be done without the use of array lists, vectors or any abstract data types besides arrays . My question is how do I accomplish this . Say I wish to add a new trading card in position 4 the new card is added to my array and the card currently in position 4 gets moved to position 5 and the card in position 5 gets moved to 6 etc. The maximum amount of cards my collection can hold is 100. How would I add my trading card object to the specified position without overwriting what is currently there and shifting all other elements?Here is my current code.
public class CardCollection { public BaseballCard [] collection; final int MAX_CARDS = 100; public CardCollection() { collection = new BaseballCard[MAX_CARDS]; } public CardCollection(BaseballCard[]c)
[code]...
position refers to the position in the CardCollection and not the position inside the array.
I am developing a form with ComboBox as a subject (the user can choose one from the list , or type one) and TextArea where the user can write his notes (attached a picture). The user using a virtual keyboard (touch) to enter any characters.
I am using the append method to append the next Char to the TextInputControl class (both Combo and TextArea Inherit from it). When I try to deletePreviousChar() in the TextArea it works, but in ComboBox it fails
I put some System.out.println() to see what is the problem and it seems that with the ComboBox the class is loosing the Caret position after every action
Here is my code: (Look it also as a attached picture)
public void changed(ObservableValue<? extends String> observable, String oldVal, String newVal) { if (newVal != null) { if (lastNodeInFocus instanceof TextArea) { switch (newVal) {
[Code] ....
Here is the Debug results: CB = Combo TA = TextArea B=Before A=After , the numbers are the caret position (also attached as a picture )
CB - append B 0 CB - append A :1 CB - append B 0 CB - append A :2 CB - append B 0
I want to ask if there is an option to set the vertical position of the node handles of the TreeView-control.
I used a custom TreeCell factory with icons of sizes between 24 and 64 pixel and the location of the handle is regardless of the size of the icon on top of the cell. So if you got large icons the view did not look so nice.What I want is a property or something to center the handle in the cell depending on the size of the cell. Is there such an option?
How to catch the event when table view's column are re-positioned. Basically when the column is re-positioned from 1 position to 5 position , i want to do update the db.
I have a list of Row objects and want to listen to changes in the name property of a Row object.
public class Row implements Serializable { private final SimpleStringProperty name = new SimpleStringProperty(this, "name", ""); public Row() { this(""); } public Row(String name) { this.name.set(name);
[Code] ....
I would expect to be notified 4 times. Line 23: Added, Line25, 26, 27: Update
But there are only 2 change events. For Line 26 and 27 there is no change event.
I change TreeTableColumn.text but I got a Exception
Exception in thread "JavaFX Application Thread" java.lang.ClassCastException: javafx.scene.control.TreeTableColumn cannot be cast to javafx.scene.control.TableColumn at com.sun.javafx.scene.control.skin.TableHeaderRow$10.invalidated(TableHeaderRow.java:277)
so I check TableHeaderRow . I find this method
private final InvalidationListener columnTextListener = new InvalidationListener() { @Override public void invalidated(Observable observable) { TableColumn<?,?> column = (TableColumn<?,?>) ((StringProperty)observable).getBean(); CheckMenuItem menuItem = columnMenuItems.get(column); if (menuItem != null) { menuItem.setText(getText(column.getText(), column)); } } };
We have developed a theme called default.css that is extending of the default caspian.css. What we want to do is offer users the ability to override values from default.css to change colors etc. How can that be done?
I am using javafx 2 in my project,After user change the text in HTMLEditor,i will save the context to database,if text wasn't changed,then i do nothing .so i want to know if the user have changed the text.
I only saw how to add text changed listener to HTML web viewer. So how to add text changed listener to htmleditor?
I have a table column and I want to change the columns header justification from center justified to left justified. How do I do this, either via code or via CSS.
is possibile to change the color of the sorting arrow that appears in the columns of the Table View by css? My attempts have failed and I have not found any documentation, nor is there any reference in the Modena css.
I have noticed a strange behavior of Combobox element. The number of visible rows is not the same established by setVisibleRowCount() method. It happens when changing the items list dynamically. The following example reproduces it. I think it is Javafx 8 bug. I have tried unsuccessfully to trigger some event indirectly to refresh the combobox drop down.
import javafx.application.Application; import javafx.scene.Scene; import javafx.scene.control.Button; import javafx.scene.control.ComboBox; import javafx.scene.layout.HBox; import javafx.stage.Stage; public class TestComboBox extends Application { private int count;
So it seems to reason that many JavaFX applications will want to dynamically change CSS styles. Is the best way to do this via the <node>.getStyleClass().add("classname")? The underlying data structure is an observable list. So lets say one has 5 styles that simply change the fill color of a circle to 5 different colors respectively. So if I have a condition in which I want to dynamically apply 1 of these 5 styles, the way I currently do this is by defining all 5 styles as strings in a list using a static initializer, then I call <node>.getStyleClass().removeAll(list), then getStyleClass().add("classname"). I do this to avoid adding the same style over and over and inflating the underlying list. Is this the correct way to manage dynamic CSS styles?
So I know there is a few different way to implement a splash screen. My app has definitely gotten larger over the last few months of development and I have noticed there is about a 5 second delay between when I run the application to when I see the main stage. I was thinking a splash screen would be nice to fill this time period. I have not had time to prototype using a Preloader and I fear that using an alternate, lightweight stage on startup would still take too long of a delay. I was actually thinking that using the nice and simple JVM argument "-splash:<image name>" would be simple, easy and effective. Unfortunately when I try to do this, the splash screen comes up but never goes away.
I have a simple JavaFX Application that open a Browser and shows google page. After exit the Application and free all objects, I can see that the JavaFX objects like Scene, Stage, WebView and WebEngine are alive in the heap memory after call GC. I can see this objects with JProfiler and other Profiler tools.
This is my Test code: import java.awt.FlowLayout; import java.awt.event.ActionEvent; import java.awt.event.ActionListener; import javafx.application.Application; import javafx.application.Platform;
To test the application click on Start Button to show google web page, click on Stop Button to stop the application, run a Profiler tool, and call gc, the JavaFX classes are alive. I am using java version "1.7.0_51" and windows 8.1 Is there something wrong in my code? Or this is the normal behavior?
I was doing a project in a usual Java Application, but now maybe I have to use some tools that are contained in javafx.scene.media.MediaPlayer so I wonder if can it all work? Will javafx methods and such works?
I have to use javafx.scene.media.MediaPlayer beacuse I have to create a very simple audio player (one jbutton and one jcombobox).
I am currently making a video player which allows users to open/play videos which are stored on their computer. I am using JavaFX for this.My problem, is that sometimes when I click the button to load a video, a java.util.ConcurrentModificationException is raised. Other times, it's perfectly fine.I put the calls to .loadAndPlayMediaA() and .prepareMedia() (see below) inside a .runLater(Runnable) to try to prevent this, but it has not worked. My Code (below) is called by a listener on a button, "testButton". I have a class called JfxMediaPlayer which holds the method loadAndPlayMediaA(), and a class called MixingDeck which holds the method prepareMedia()
So I need to print out the table of conversions from kilogram to pound and from pounds to kilograms. I think I have done a while loop correctly, but it is hard to actually check it since I do not have proper output format. I have tried also %4.2f format option however could not find the proper position in the print.
public static void main (String[] args){ System.out.printf("%10s%10s | %10s%10s ", "Kilograms", "Pounds", "Kilograms", "Pounds"); System.out.println("---------------------------------------------");
I am developing an application where blind person can interact with computer i have completed the part where computer responds as per command given by user.The part where i am stuck is i want to give voice feedback as user moves the curser for example if mouse is on d drive then user should get feedback that its d drive....i want to do it for whole windows ...
