Code Will Not Calculate Or Print Intersection And Difference Of Two Sets Using Arrays

As part of the instructions we are required to use loops and methods to solve to program this code. We are not allowed to use any set functions that are already built in java.The methods for intersection and difference MUST return int value.

We had to use these methods with the given parameters and code them correctly. We cannot use any built in java methods for sets.

I mainly would like to know is a int[4][4] or a int [4*4] is more efficient to use. Which takes more storage? Which requires more to process? that kind of stuff.
I have been tasked with creating an invoice (school assignment). Part of the calculations is creating an interest depending on the amount of days between the current date entered, and invoice date entered (The program prompts the user to enter both the current and invoice dates by asking for the day, month and year).
We are also supposed to set the contructor to a default date of 1/1/1900.. but I don't know how or where to code that.

I am making a gradebook program that calculates the averages of 25 students using 2D arrays in which the students have four test grades. I have figured out how to display the averages of each student in one column but I cant seem to figure out how to display the letter grade of the average into another column.

I have for example a letter code "EECC"...Now i want to have a good loop that checkes if the code typed in by the player matches or not? For example if player types CECE it should say it matches because C occurs 2 times and E occurs 2 times. I'm building a text based "game" where you are communicating with this android creature called Gargoid , at a VERY primitive level . how it works is, simply the user type in a sentence which is decoded for meaning by comparing it with a built in list of words in order to figure out what the user is saying, and then reply with a a relevant response also from a list of built in words. the whole thing would look something like this,

so far I have 11 arrays which are the following
String[] for user typed in words used for comparison to find meaning ..An Array of String[] , 7 so far, to hold what I call the Gargoid dictionary for example String[] greeting={hi,hello,aloha}, words that indicates greeting int[] called frequency to determine which of the 7 arrays have the greatest "relevancy" to what is being said. and finally another String[] for responses here's the actual code, I want you guys to tell me if there's a way to reduce all this never ending number of arrays? and also is this code a good application of object oriented programming?

I'm trying to print out the results of a program that calculates the number of seats the parties will get in an election.I have to print the partial results and the national results.
I can print te number of seats per party in each constituency, but how can i sum all seats per party in each constituency and print the national results?I'm working with vectors, which I know it might not be the best option, but everything is working, except the fact that I can't loop throuhg the vector and retrieve the total sum per party.Like, adding the seats for labour party in Constituency A and B and C, etc, and print the sum. And do the same for conservative party.Is it possible, or doIhave to create a method in Parties class to solve the problem?

What have I done??? I have created this program using the few different resources with which I am supplied, but I don't understand the resources.
I am writing a program in the GUI Builder and found that when I add code to print user input from text fields to a text file, the main method is no longer recognized. It throws all kinds of errors.
I have been able to get the code to work separately in a project file. Also, have been able to print to the console.
My code is like follows. I want add the lines of data from text file to arraylist.After add the lines to array list,i want to get the interesection between the lines of data. But I could not get the intersection and it returns empty. My sample data from specific line in text file as follows,
1. Why, when I press "New" rapidly, will it skip painting shapes sometimes/adding to totcount.
2. How can I make it so that The box in the background(which is currently connected in the wrong way as I was getting an error when I connected it correctly) can be modifiably large. AKA, I want to draw a grid in the background that can be different sizes, depending on the values of a variable xsize and ysize.
3. What can I do to clean this up? All I want it to do is display the convex hull of the four points given in the int[][] displaypoints.

I am trying to Extract the ranges of Variables from a Text File. I extracted lines of the forms X in 1..10 Y in 12..50 Z in 0..19 / 66/ 95..100 Where X in 1 ..10 states that X takes values from set 1 to 10 Similarly for Y and for Z its a Union of different ranges of the values (0 to 19, union 66,union 95 to 100)
