Create Java Application That Contains Array Of 10 Multiple-choice Questions
Dec 15, 2014
Create a java application that contains an array of 10 multiple-choice questions related to you favorite hobby. each question contains three answer choices. also create a parallel array that holds the correct answer to each question - A,B, or C. display each question and verify that the users enters only A,B, or C as the answere - if not, keep prompting the user until a valid response in entered. If the user responds to a question correctly, display "Correct!"; otherwise, display the correct answer is and the letter to the correct answer. After the user answer all the question, display the number of correct and incorrect answers.
I have to write a short quiz that consists of 3 multiple choice questions. When the question is answered wrong I have to get it to loop back and ask the same question until the question is answered right.
I think I have the majority of my variables assigned and I have the scanner set up.
System.out.println("Question 1- Which TV sitcom recently had it's 20th anniversary?"); System.out.println("1. Two and a half men " + question1 + ".Friends 3.The Fresh Prince of Belair h.Get a hint"); answer2 = stdIn.nextInt(); if (answer2 != question1) { System.out.println("Your answer was incorrect, please try again or pick h for a hint"); } else { }
I am using itext to create pdf files , i have filtered some records (preferably i can say around 90) which has the option to open pdf for individual record. Now I need to open all the pdf's of filtered records on a single click , without asking for a open dialogue box. How to go about this ??

// create an AlertDialog Builder and set the dialog's title AlertDialog.Builder regionsBuilder = new AlertDialog.Builder(this); regionsBuilder.setTitle(R.string.regions); // replace _ with space in region names for display purposes String[] displayNames = new String[regionNames.length]; for (int i = 0; i < regionNames.length; ++i)
[Code] ....
From the code above, An alertdialog would pop up prompting the user to select a region (from a list). the user will then be allowed to select multiple choices accordingly. If I choose to select anything, the app crashes. How to mitigate this problem?
I know that I have to use a conditional check like if (isChecked){}; but I don't know how to do it. I want it to pop up a dialog box when none is checked prompting them that they should select atleast one.
in javafx, how can i implement a composant as shown in the following figure. when i click in the arrow, i must have a menu allows me to do a multiple choice like shown in figure
Create a Java Application in NetBeans with the following two classes.
1. A Java class College o Use the following data fields: College Name College City Number of Tracks Number of Students Number of Faculty Number of Staff o Implement an empty constructor o Implement a full constructor o Implement Setters and Getters (Mutators and Accessors) o Implement SetAll() method with all data members as parameters
2. Another Java class called CollegeDemo with the main() method: o In the main(): o Read the values of the fields of 3 colleges from a text file and for each create a College object. Filename: colleges.txt IT Dubai 7 200 50 20 ENG Abudhabi 4 400 60 20 SCIENCE Sharjah 3 300 40 20 First with empty constructor then uses setters. Second with full constructor (no need to use setters). Last one with empty constructor and SetAll() setter. o Display the average number of students for all the 3 colleges. o Change the value of ‘Number of Students’ in the SCIENCE College to 500, and display the average number of students again.
here my code :
public class Demo { private String name ; private String city; private String cname ;
I am currently working on a application for a car park system. It uses GUI created by myself and holds 15 parking spaces. The user has the option to add, delete or search for a specific car. When the user adds a new car, details of the car are entered, the cars registration number (saved as a string), and the user had to check one raido button if the car is expensive, large or normal.
Once this information is entered a new instance of a vehicle will be created and the bay the car is allocated to turns green and stored in one of three arrays(expensive, normal or large). I also have a fourth array for creating the parking spaces.Each array can only hold 5 vehicles apart from the fourth which can hold all 15. When searching for a vehicle the user enters the registration of the vehicle they want to find, but I have to search through all three arrays to find it, and if it does not exist showing a message saying so.These are my three arrays
public static ParkingBay[] regularBays = new ParkingBay[5]; public static ParkingBay[] largeBays = new ParkingBay[5]; public static ParkingBay[] expensiveBays = new ParkingBay[5];
String Registration; - saves registration entered from add form String RegistrationNumber; - saves registration number from search form
I need to search to see if RegistrationNumber is in either of the three arrays if not show a message saying otherwise
It sounds simple enough, but I'm trying to implement a mechanism to prevent the same user logging into our distributed web application simultaneously.
So, given the scenario... - user A logs in with username A - user B logs in with username A
I want the logging in of username A by user B to invalidate the session for username A held by user A. So if people are sharing login credentials, the last person to log in kicks everyone else out who's logged in as that user.
The big problem I have is the application is deployed in a cluster across JVMs, so sessions are shared across nodes. My thought it to introduce a session listener to then inspect a table in the database which determines whether that user logged on - the part of identifying that is pretty simple as far as I can tell. The difficult part is kicking out the first user who logged in.
So, I guess my question is - can I invalidate an http session from with an MDB? If so my logic is to implement an MDB which listens on a topic and whenever a session is created that MDB checks for sessions belonging to the same user within that JVM to invalidate them (obviously skipping the JVM the login request came in on!).
Is that even possible? Is there a simpler way to do this?
I would like to know how we can deploy one Web application on multiple server to share the work between them? My first thought is that we just deploy the same war file on different servers that connect to the same database. However, what will happen when a user enter something like [URL]? How can multiple servers share the same domain name and how the requests from different users are redirected to these different server?
Create an application that generates a quiz. Prompt for the user's first and last name, college major, and confidence in test taking (high, medium, or low). The quiz should contain at least five true/false questions about horticulture. When the user selects the correct answer, a message of positive reinforcement should be displayed. If the user selects the incorrect answer, the correct answer should be displayed with a message of constructive criticism. At the end of the quiz, display the number of correct and incorrect answers as well as the percentage of correct responses for each user.
import java.util.Scanner; class HorticultureQuiz { public static void main(String[] args){
So my little math game is working so far. I can only do addition though. I know how to fix it if I can find out how to generate random math operators. After that I want to use a loop (or a better technique) to ask ten different math questions before the game is over.
package pkgnew; import java.util.Scanner; import java.util.Random; public class New { public static void main(String args[]) { //Declare and construct variables Random randomnum = new Random();
I am a begMy task is to write a program that plays the "Hi Lo guessing game." The program runs smoothly. However, it does not proceed to the next game after the previous game is done. I need to add a "play again" choice to the program so that the user will continue to play until they have chosen to quit. I have tried several different ways but each one has failed. I am completely stuck on this. I have attached my code to this.
I have a project I am currently working on using Primefaces and MySQL. I have a page that will display information queried from the database. I have textfields that will display the data from a given record. But I want to ensure that the displayed data cannot be altered. I decided on disabling the textfields unless the create or edit button were clicked. At which point all textfields will be enabled for editing, and cleared if create button was clicked. I want to push the disabling/enabling of the elements back to a managed bean, but I want to have the bean take in two lists or arrays, one containing all elements by ID and one containing a list of exempt elements. Is there a way I can create a List or Array of the ID's that I can send to the bean? I know little in Javascript and previous attempts to implement it have met with little success.
I want to create a list that would contain all and another that would contain the exemptions such as searchField, searchCriteria, searchButton, projectList and viewButton. The actual exemption list is far smaller than the list of all children. I have found sources that can disable the elements with a java bean, but I have not been able to find one that would allow me to define those that should and should not be disabled, then vice versa for enabling.
Actually, i want to create multiple ball using multithreading.I have created a class 'CreateBall' and this class is making ball and second class 'Balls' is a Panel where the ball is display.But only one ball is being displayed.
Here is my code.......
CreateBall.java import java.awt.*; public class CreateBall implements Runnable { int px,py; int w=20,h=20; Graphics g; public CreateBall(int px,int py)
How to create multiple Choices in one Panel? I need to create a program that will choose a number in these choices then it will display the words at the bottom.
E.g. "Two Thousand Fourteen" "Three Thousand" "Two Thousand"
convert or move standalone java thread application into Tomcat server container for accessing its JNDI services? Also is it possible to schedule this thread application in Tomcat server? is it possible to keep this app in tomcat as web application and schedule in window's scheduler.
I need to create an java 2D application for the manipulation of image. I saw the JAI library but it can not install it properly, I also copied the jar but I can not find the solution. How can I do? there is a replacement for JAI? what other libraries can I use?
I have asked to make a desktop application to manage accounting detail of some construction company. So, I am thinking of making it using Swing. But till now i have always worked in making web applications in servlet, jsp, struts2 .. What are the steps to create swing application in MyEclipse.
I am new to java and i want to create an application which detect an image which took from camera and to process it so that it can be verified ..for example number plate of the vehicle ..if i need to extract the numbers from the image ..
I installed Windowsbuilder in Eclipse as described in this video:URL....
To get starated I now want to create a simple JFrame application that works in the following way. On the opening screen I want to present 4 buttons. Based on the selection I want the JFrame to change layout and components so that the same JFrame behind the scenes contains 5 layouts but only one visible at any time. What is the best way to accomplish this? Or should I do this in another way using multiple JFrames or similar?
I am taking the Class Algorithms and Datastructures and got an assignment for Lab that really throws me off. The goal is to create an Array out of a given CSV file, implement several Methods that get the size of array, etc.
I am still stuck in the first part where the CSV has to be imported into the Array. My problem is that I need a mechanism that figures out the needed size for the Array, creates the array, and only then transfers the data from the CSV.
The list consists of the following wifi related values:
MAC-Adress, SSID, Timestamp, Signalstrength.
These are on the list, separated by comma. The Columns are each of these, and the rows are the four types of values making up the information on a certain wifi network.
The catch is, we are not allowed to use any of the following:
java.util.ArrayList java.util.Arrays and any class out of java.util.Collection.
So far I used the BufferedReader to read in the file and tried to implement the array, but I get an arrayindexoutofboundsexception.
Below is my Code (Its still an active construction zone):
public class WhatsThere { public WhatsThere(String wifiscan) throws IOException { } public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException { // WhatsThere Liste = new WhatsThere(String wifiscan); String[][] arrayListe = new String[0][0];
