Display Jtextfield Value In Batch File Command Prompt
Apr 16, 2015
I am making a ui in which i have a JTextfield and a JButton(run). I am reading values to JTextField from text file and on pressing Jbutton a Batch file runs. Now when i press the Jbutton the batch file runs showing number running, in place of number running, i want to display the JTextfield value. So i want in place of number running it should display JTextfield value running. How can i achieve it.
I am trying to execute a program from the command prompt. I type java -jar zuul.jar (zuul is the name of my project) and I get a message that java is not recognized as an internal or external command. What do I do wrong?
I made the XML file (web.xml) in C:Program FilesApache-Tomcat-7apache-tomcat-7.0.53webappsDEMOWEB-INF folder. In command prompt I went to the classes folder
Im following a simple set of code and can not get the correct output, in chapter 1 (Intro to Java).Im stuck on getting a set of code to run completely through command prompt. I installed.JDK and textpad4, type the code, save it, direct towards it in cmd prompt but javac wont work. Here's the code I put in textpad;
public class Test { public static void main(string[] args) Ststem.out.println("3.5 * 4 / 2 - 2.5 is ") System.out.println(3.5 * 4 / 2 - 2.5);
My Java program is failing to run in command prompt and no result is produced.I am currently using windows 8 and I have changed my Environmental variable to C:Windowssystem32;C:Program filesJavajdkin.
My PC runs on Windows XP. When I try to run a java program (written using NetBeans) from the command prompt, the program opens in NotePad but does not run.This is what I have been typing at the command prompt:
C:javahellosrchelloHello.java
The above is the correct path to the Java file on my PC.how to run the program from the command prompt or perhaps link me to a tutorial that explains it?
I was wondering if their is an easily explainable way to convert a jar for a text-based game that runs off the command prompt into a executable. I would guess there probably is not and the game would have to run off of completely different commands, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask.
I just created a Hello World program in Notepad, but command prompt still can't find it even when ran as administrator. I've even tried to use command line to run Hello World programs I've created with Eclipse but it still doesn't work. Here's proof I have JDK setup as PATH:
I've even tried having the JRE as path but that still doesn't solve my problem. I'm really trying to learn Java programming but this problem is holding me back.
When I am trying to run an applet in command prompt I am getting an error message saying: System cannot find the file specified.
Initially I compiled my applet using javac BubbleSort1.java it works fine But when I tried running this using: appletviewer BubbleSort1.html I m getting the above error. Anyhow, both the html file n the java file are in same folder in C drive. (windows 7) .....
We are using Kronos and when our staff trys to run reports -- they get three java prompts.The first one is asking if they would like to update java.The second one is do you want to run this application.The third one is allow access to the following application from this website
We are in a non persistent VDI environment so these prompts come up over and over and over.how to edit the Windows 7 image to disable all three of these prompts.Is there a way to install java from the command prompt with the parameters to disable these prompts from ocurring? if so i will uninstall and re-install with those prompts.
Question : How to execute batch file & .exe file using jsp servlet?I am giving input for blast in the FASTA format. After that i wants to make the sequence.FASTA file in my project folder. And I wants to execute batch file with parameters as blastp.exe file, sequence. FASTA file, database files, output file.
There is no problem in the file creation of sequence.FASTA
ERROR IN: the batch file is not execute, So the I am not able to get the output file for display.
ERROR is : java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:vaibhav_workspace.metadata.pluginsorg.eclipse.wst.server.core mp4wtpwebapps oxin-dataoutputprotein.txt (The system cannot find the file specified)

I have the following code as :
protected void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { response.setContentType("text/html"); PrintWriter out=response.getWriter(); String values=request.getParameter("t1"); ServletContext servletContext = request.getSession().getServletContext(); servletContext = request.getSession().getServletContext(); String path="//sequence.FASTA"; /*file is created in getRealPath()*/
Batch file (. BAT) problems with some folders on. I created an application in Java and put the JRE folder within the application, because some users do not have Java installed on your machine and the way I did, my application runs. JAR with the JRE that is contained in my application but I created a BAT file that contains the following command:
start "" jre8 bin javaw-jar app.jar
So I run my program in java through the file. BAT calling JRE that is inside the folder and then this JRE runs the mine. JAR and works great anywhere in windows, worked well on a USB key with this command is within. BAT (start "" jre8 bin javaw-jar app.jar).
BAT in certain folders, eg Program Files and Program Files (x86), I need this code to be able to find any directory, regardless of whether the directory has spaces in the name, symbols, numbers or anything else, because maybe people will put the application folder to another location or rename the folder, and if this happens the program will stop working? And especially do not give problems to run inside the Program Files and Program Files (x86) because the application runs everywhere except in these two folders.
I get the following error when I try to run my jar file from a Batch file and CMD manually (The batch file is just set to run the jar and record any output to a text file, and open it after).

However running from Netbeans, it works perfectly; JFrame and all. I'm not sure if it's something wrong with my classpath (which I don't think is likely) or something in my code that's affecting it, here's the code:
So currently I am trying to use a JTextarea to display text and I then prompt users to type in certain words. I have a few problems that I have encountered. Firstly when I use setText and then if I say setText again after that it erases the previous text that was set. Ideally I want to set text once per line in my whenever a certain task is fulfilled. For example if the text says enter y/n, I want the program to go to the next line once I say y or n. Another problem of course is when I setEditable to true I can edit the whole textArea. I just want to be able to edit the line which I am currently at. Is there anything that I can use that mimics the ACM console program, or even the console down below in most IDE's where everything appears to be done line by line?
Also here is an example of what I am trying to do, along with comments:
Java Code:
console.setText("Math is good!"); console.setText("What is 2+2?: "); //using getText gets the whole line, I want //everything checked after the colon. That is where the input will be if(line==4){ console.setText("That is correct"); } else { console.setText("That is incorrect"); } //previous text lines are overriden with new ones. I don't want that, nor do I want to be able to edit the //whole JtextArea mh_sh_highlight_all('java');
I have been creating a Java program to track inventory using an array. I need to add a search function to it to take a term, input through a text field, and locate a matching instance within the array. How can I code a JButton to grab test input from a JTextField and search for it within the array then display the corresponding information? I also need to add buttons to add and delete items as well.
It seemed to me that the bufferSize is limited so that I can only have it less than a default one, how to increase it?
My question now is how to increase the size of buffer in order to read a larger InputStream ? BufferedInputStream() default size is private static int defaultCharBufferSize = 8192; private static int defaultExpectedLineLength = 80;
How to make it larger and working? I tried to increase the defaultCharBufferSize to 500000000 but it did not work!
I've got a nasty nullpointer that I have tried to resolve to no avail as of yet. The program should prompt for a listings.txt file and take its info and write to a report file. Here's the stacktrace:
run:
Input file: listings Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException at java.io.Writer.<init>(Writer.java:88) at java.io.PrintWriter.<init>(PrintWriter.java:113) at java.io.PrintWriter.<init>(PrintWriter.java:100) at kettask2b.PropertyListingsReport.main(PropertyListingsReport.java:34) Java Result: 1
Some adjustments that I have attempted are:
BufferedWriter pwfo = null; for (int i = 0; i < args.length; i++) { String string = args[i]; pwfo = null;
Write a class named FileDisplay with the following methods:
1.) constructor: the class's constructor should take the name of a fil as an arugment. 2.) displayHead: This method should display only the first five lines of the file's contents
Here is the following code I have made so far
import java.io.*; public class FileDisplay { private String filename; public FileDisplay(String Filename) throws IOException
[Code] ....
First, in my constructor I have taken in an argument and used that argument to open up an output file. Meanwhile, I'm trying to work n the displayhead method to print out information and to read data to. I haven't opened up my input file yet, but I'm not understand how can I read a print data to an output file. in
public void displayHead() {FileWriter file=new FileWriter(Filename)}
do I make create another instance of the filewriter class to output data?
In simple words, suppose to I want to display some messages on my output file in the displayhead function. Since I already have opened up the file in the constructor, how do I combine that in this method...
I'm having trouble with how to read a text file into my program so the words can be sorted alphabetically. Should I use something like a FileReader?
An example of what I'm trying to do is a .txt file that holds the statement "java is a simple object oriented and distributed and interpreted and robust and secure and dynamic."
The output should organize the words like so: and and and and distributed dynamic interpreted is java object oriented robust secure simple
Here's what I have:
public static void main(String[] args) { if (args.length != 1) { System.out.println("Usage: java AscendingAlphabet"
[Code].....
I can never get it to read the file correctly, it just prints the "usage: java..." statement.
