Game Logic - Run Something In Main Method When JButton Is Pressed

I want to run a few things in my main when a JButton is pressed but can't work out the best way to do it. Here's the code in the main.

I am receiving two errors that I'm not sure how to fix. The first is illegal start of expression at line
"public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)"
and no suitable method found for intersect JButton at line
"if(blocker01.getBounds().intersects(r_wall))" .

Okay, gotta be able to move the image when a key is pressed. When I test it, the image moves, but leaves the old image behind.

Here is what I was given on instructions:
Complete the handleKeyPress method. Write the following line of code in the handleKeyPress method to check for a key press:
int key = grid.checkLastKeyPressed();
If the user pressed the up arrow (key == 38), move the user's image up one row (unless the user is already in the top row). Likewise, if the user pressed the down arrow (key == 40), move the user's image down one row (unless the user is already in the bottom row). Either way, make sure to update userRow.
Movement of the image can be accomplished by changing the value of userRow. Study how the initial image is displayed in the game constructor, then
Set the current image location to null
Update userRow to the new location and,
Set the image in the new value of userRow.
You should be able to move the user image up and down, and you should be prevented from moving the image off the screen.
I'm trying to fix this logic error in my slot machine game where no matter what slot combo comes up, it says you have won $10 and proceeds to add that amount to the balance and subtract the bet amount to the balance, even though it is not a winning combo! I've been trying to solve that and when doing so, I commented out Slot1.randNum1 == 0, Slot2.randNum2 ==0, and Slot3.randNum3 ==0 and anything relating to see if that was the problem, and it seemed like it was, because after that, the logic error described above was gone, but in doing so, the loss/win counter didn't increment, nor did the program pick up on the winning combos. However, I do not know why commenting out anything relating to randNum ==0 would cause that.
Here is the code for the processing (as you can see, some parts are commented in attempt to fix the logic error, but right now the code below is for the logic error that keeps on telling that the user has won):

how to set it up the private void CompareActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) as the ComparativeV3 main class, not giving it any argument, because the files are load from the arguments section & it reads diferent files with diferent arguments.
I'm having trouble with sorting Strings- 3 strings inputted by user, and I would like to output them in alphabetical order. I've used the str.compareToIgnoreCase method, and then I've tried to loop them through a series of if/ else statements. Everything I've been able to find online (including the forums here) has suggested to use the Comparator class, or to put the strings into an array, and sort list- I really would like to stick with just the String class, and its methods .
The program itself works and compiles, but I am getting logic errors that I have been unable to solve. I'm using IntelliJ Idea, and I've ran it through the built in debugger, about 100+ times (not exaggerating, lol) just to see what it's doing in particular scenarios. For instance, I can get c, a, b, to print out as a,b,c correctly, but a,b,c, will print out as b,a,c.
For me this is kind of like a Sudoku puzzle, or a Rubik's cube! Each time I fix one scenario, it breaks another one, so I don't know if there's a(logic) solution to fix all possible scenarios (abc, acb, bac etc... to all print abc) or if possibly I just need more if statements. I've only pasted in the area where I'm having problems (the if statements). I'm a big fan of the "Next Line" syntax.

I'd like to know how to return a new array, I wrote in a method below the main method. I want to print the array but system.out.print doesn't work for arrays apparently. What structure i should use?
I have to write a method called censor that gets an array of strings from the user as an argument and then returns an array of strings that contains all of the original strings in the same order except those with length of 4. For example if cat, dog, moose, lazy, with was entered, then it would return the exact same thing except for the words with and lazy.

I have to make new string array in the method and return words without four letters in the main method
I am just trying to test this array, for a locker combination program that involves classes...but the array is printing out the whacky numbers for the location. When I try to call the method in the main, it does not work. How do I call a method that exist within a class into the main method?

it contains one method called fib() and one main method.If I would want to have the main method in another class than fib(), how would I write the two classes? Only cutting the main method from this class to another one doesn't work.My question is, is the reason it doesn't work because I then would have to have a constructor in the Fibonacci class, and create a Fibonacci object first which I then use the method on?
I am currently working on a dice game. I have a private method called rollDice and it performs the action of rolling two dice. For my project, I need to create another method called playerRolls and I am supposed to invoke the rollDice method in the playerRolls method and perform actions based off of that. My question right now is how do I invoke a method into another method of the same class?

I'm trying to make a TBG (Text Based Game) in Java for Android. Now, when I try to run it, it says No Main Method to run this program. The compiler also checks the program and tell me there are no errors.
The idea is to create a program to add plants and retrieve plants from a Nursery. I have been reading about methods and I do have a beginner level understanding on how they work. I was trying to mess around and make a dog calculator using methods. I ran into a small snag; I cannot get the method to call to the main or the program to compile correctly. The first code below is the original. To me it looks like (based off of some examples I looked at) there should be no problems, but NetBeans gives me a few errors. 1) line 8- "cannot find symbol, variable dogYearCalc; 2) line 18 illegal start of expression; and 3) line 22 - unreachable statement.

Someone told me that I was calling dogYearCalc without any arguments in your main method. I take that to mean that I needed to add it to the main, so I did here:
public static void main (String[] args, double dogYearCalc) {
That got rid of my first error, but then when I tried to run the program NetBeans said that I have no main class, so switched back to the original program above.
I thought that when I calling the dogYearCalc method on line 10 was the whole purpose of using a method. It seems to me that putting it somewhere in the main is counter productive.
Can we recall the main method? I'm trying a code to recall main method (after the calling of JVM). I know this doesn't make any sense but I'm trying this just like that.

I've written a program just for the sake of it (to learn) and it seem's like theres quite a lot in the main method that perhaps could be split up into seperate classes. I'm not too sure where should start with this though, or what my thought process should have been as I was writing the program.

I was reading the book, "Head First Java" and it was talking about how there may be multiple classes in a large application, but there will be only one main method.how does it work that way? How can you have multiple classes, but only one main method?
This time I have to make a Black Jack game ( I guess this is a classic) I have created Three classes for this BlackJack( Main), Card, and Player.
What I am trying to do is put the Give one card to the player and remove it from the deck into a separate procedure because I will be doing this several times during the game.
