How To Connect To A Remote SQL Server Using JDBC Driver
Jan 15, 2015
I'm working on an application I made a few years ago. At that time I connected to a local database so my address was 'jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/'. That database is long gone so I recreated it on one of my hosted servers but I'm a little unsure of how to connect to it. At the moment I'm trying "jdbc:mysql://www.mydomain.com:3306/" but it is giving me an access denied error.
java.sql.SQLException: Access denied for user 'myusername'@'c-[my-ip].hsd1.pa.comcast.net' (using password: YES)Every result on Google seems to use localhost so I'm having a little difficulty figuring out the correct format.

I am trying to run a simple program that connects to a mysql database and prints out some fields. I am using Eclipse.
THe problem I am having is on the following line of code.
Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");
I get an error:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source)
at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source)
at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
[Code] ....
I have done some research and from what I have found is that I need to alter the class path to pick up the driver. When I downloaded the .msi I ran it and then the program closed. Where the files are ??? How to locate and import the file so I need to get my program to run?
I have included all the of the source code below.
package mySQLConnect;
import java.sql.*;
public class Connect {
// JDBC Driver name and database URL
static final String JDBC_DRIVER = "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver";
static final String BD_URL = "jdbc:mysql://localhost/sstbde";
[Code] .....

I am trying to connect a remote machine but I can't. There is a shared folder in the remote machine, when I write the path to file browser in local machine, it does not find the path specified. Both machines have successful network condition and ping each other. Also, the shared folder is opened to everyone, there should not be a permission problem, right?

We have a java application in our production enviroment using Spring framework which is configured with DBCP connection pool and the backend is Oracle database( version 11.2.0.3). Recently we encountered an occasionally happened situation(about once every week) and can be described as below:
The application schedules a task that runs every 10 minutes. And during task execution, the application would issue a SQL query of which the result is expected to be got within 10 seconds. At 11:51 a.m Oct 13th, however, the application failed to get the result within expected time, and 2 hours later, at 13:51, the result was finally returned to application. Due to lack of information at that time, we were not able to reproduce the same problem in test environment. At 15:31 p.m, Oct 29th, it happend again and this time we grasped all the information including thread dump and Oracle diagnostic information. We could found that:
1. Through oracle v$sql view, we could find that the SQL query is executed twice, at 15:31 and 17:31 respectively.
2. By analyzing TCP packets provided by network monitoring tools, it can be concluded that the request TCP packet containing SQL statement had been sent to Oracle and get executed, but after that JDBC only fetched first 80000 records out of 90000 records in total and then it stopped, didn't send any more request to Oracle to fetch rows. 2 hours later, Oracle sent a TCP keep alive packet and JDBC driver resume fetching remaining rows using the same connection(which can be confirmed by comparing source port of packets).
3. We dumped the thread at which JDBC hangs at socket read of JDBC driver
By the way, the version of JDBC we use is 11.2.0.1 and JDK version is 1.5.0_22.
The SQL statement is very simple:
select sum(n.netvalue) npvi,
n.HISCENEID hsid,
n.counterpartyid cid,
n.productid pid,
n.opendays
[Code] .....

I have small Java code, which execute every day and checks for data in database using Cronj Schedular and everything works fine, but recently I have observed that, it is failing due to
java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver found for jdbc:oracle:thin:@160.110.xx.xxx:1521/test
At the same time, when I run my test code to check Database connectivity that works fine without above exception. I'm unable to figure it out. Although, there was just slight code change, but that was nowhere related to Database or Database connection.
dbconf.java
public class dbconf {
private Connection connect;
private String connstr;
public Connection getConnection() throws SQLException {
connstr = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@160.110.xx.xxx:1521/test";
[Code] ....
Application Log file

java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver found for jdbc:oracle:thin:@160.xxx.67.xxx:1521/test
So, you can see, It failed on 3rd of July and 5th July as well. But, in between it ran fine.

When I just reset db listener everything works ok for next 1-2 hours (depends on application load). So temporary solution is to run bat script from windows scheduler to reset the listener every 1h. I tried everything I could find - applied these parameters:
- Sqlnet.ora:
SQLNET.INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT=180
SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME=5
- Listener.ora:
INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_LISTENER_IPC=120
But still without success

Working on a project and am in need of some quick guidance to wrap things up. I have a functioning compression server that will create two files after the user gives it some input and a "magic string" to know when to stop reading input for that specific file.
I now need to connect a UDP web server to that compression server. the web server will read from the HTTP POST Request the data that was uploaded and send it to the compression server to create the two files... i have included both programs below
Web Server:
import java.io.*;
import java.net.*;
import java.util.*;
final class HttpRequest implements Runnable {
//Declare Constants and Variables
final static int BUF_SIZE = 1024000;
final static String CRLF = "
";
[Code]...
Compression Server:
import java.net.*; // for DatagramSocket, DatagramPacket, and InetAddress
import java.io.*; // for IOException
import java.util.zip.*;// for Zip
public class CompressionServer {
private static final int ECHOMAX = 65535; // Maximum size of echo datagram
private static final int BUFFER = 2048; // Buffer size for writing to Zip File
[Code]....

In my application i have a requirement , where i have to copy file from Machine-X to another Machine-Y. The Machine-Y is access restricted.
When i tried to copy the file from my app, getting no access exception. I have full control over Machine-Y. We cannot use SFTP as SFTP cannot be installed on target machine(Machine-Y). Robocopy is failing for some use cases. Is there any other way we can copy/write file from one server to other by providing userid/password in java

I'm facing some problem connecting to a IBM 4690 OS Server with the FTPClient class from the commons-net-1.4.1 library. It seems it can't read the folder on the server. The problem is that using the FTP client from Internet Explorer is works perfectly.
Here is my code (kind of hardcoded but it's only to test).
FTPFile[] files = null;
try {
files = listFiles(remoteFolder);
} catch (ParserInitializationException e) {
[Code] ...
Here is the ParserInitializationException that it throws:
org.apache.commons.net.ftp.parser.ParserInitializationException: Unknown parser type: OS 4690 operating system

I've tried to use many of the FTPFileListParser available but without success. How could I handle the problem? Where could I find a Parser that would works?

To call it in jdbc it goes like this
try{
String str = "{call patientreg(?)}";
Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbcdbc:GeneralHospit al");
cstmt = con.prepareCall(str);

I am developing a web application using JSF-2.0 on weblogic 10.3.6. I am using Facelets as VDL. I have 5 different machine. They are different according to their OS and their geographical location. On my first xhtml page server (machine) is decided. Then on next page file upload and rest of processing takes place. My restriction is that SSO configuration can be done on only one machine.
So I am restricted to using xhtml files from only my primary server where SSO configuration is done. But I have to connect to servlets or managed-bean of different machine as requests are machine specific and file needs to be uploaded to those machines for processing. So I cannot use redirectUrl as I need to be only on one machine. Is it possible that xhtml on one server can talk to managed-bean on other server(different machine)?.

I have an android device which i want to be able to switch off remotely from a console hosted on the amazon cloud.The console is a simple html button that on click sends a command to a listening server on an android device that i know its ip address.
My question,is this even possible given the huge security bleach this would present to rogue apps to be able to order actions on remote devices not started by the device owner?.
The way i know the ip is via once internet is connected on an android deice,i shall then make it announce its ip that it has been assigned by the service provider,then starting a server to accept external connections.
My theory could be wrong if what i want is not permitted.
